About Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok)

About Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok)

Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok) is a general practice clinic located at 153 Bukit Batok Street 11, #01-284, serving the Bukit Batok neighbourhood and surrounding areas. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 2.1/5 rating across 181 Google reviews — a statistically robust sample that reflects a broadly unfavourable patient experience, which prospective visitors should weigh carefully. No ACRA registration or regulatory licences have been confirmed in KakiList's records, so it is strongly recommended that you verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration before attending.

For a GP visit, you can expect to walk in or book via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. The consultation typically covers acute illness, chronic disease management, repeat prescriptions, and referrals to specialists where needed. Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders may be able to access the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for eligible outpatient treatment. For planned procedures or specialist referrals, a polyclinic or GP referral letter can reduce fees substantially at public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinics. Integrated Shield Plan holders should check whether the clinic is on their insurer's panel for outpatient claims.

To proceed, contact Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok) via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to confirm consultation hours, walk-in availability, and the consulting doctor's name — then verify that doctor on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg before attending.

The staff nurse at the counter was coughing when attending to patients without a mask. This is really bad and unacceptable. When entering the room to receive consultation, the doctor seem impatient and asked only 2 questions to find what is the problem with my mum and that's it. Less than 5mins of conversation. When leaving the room, my mum's leg was in pain and couldn't even stand up from the chair. The doctor who is just next to her, show no empathy to even gave my mum a helping hands. Instead he shouted for the nurse to open the door for my mum while I helped my mum to stand up and walk. I had never seen a doctor behavior such a way before. I will never go back to this clinic for consultation again.

I was at the clinic this morning. The receptionists, a male and a female were far from helpful in registration. According to them, the system was down and the counter staff and doctor would not be able to access records. I had to ask numerous questions to figure out why patients were not being registered. They had glum faces, did not speak clearly and were simply not helpful. There were 7 patients waiting. Counter staff service is crucial in serving the ill. You’ve got to do a lot better.

Visited this clinic today, It was a very efficient visit. Miss Angel who attended me was very polite and informative. She is very helpful and kind, even though she is very busy and doing multi-tasking she still making sure all the patient was assisted. The doctor who checked-up on me was attentive of what is my health issue and prescribed me necessary medicine. Your company is very lucky to have this kind of employee. Kudos to healthway Medical (Bukit Batok) ❤️

My finger was bleeding profusely and I asked if the doctor can attend to me and the receptionist refused saying that the residential doctor can’t attend to cuts. I have to rush to a&e as there no other clinic opened at Bukit Batok. When I was at a&e, the nurse there was shocked as she said any doctors should be able to attend to cut. If I can rate this clinic a 0 I would have. The a&e dr said minimally the dr could have helped to wash the wound and write a letter for me to come to a&e. This clinic lacks of humanity.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok) charge?

GP consultations at private general practice clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range. Common add-ons billed on top of the consultation include investigations (blood panel S$60–200, X-ray S$80–150), prescriptions, and wound dressing or minor procedures. GST applies on private medical services. Patients referred from a polyclinic or with a valid GP referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic pay S$30–80 for the specialist consult after subsidy, though non-urgent waits are typically 4–12 weeks. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Is Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok) MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are currently confirmed in KakiList's records for this clinic. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by the doctor's name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation where applicable, and any disciplinary history. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — neither alone is sufficient. The Healthway Medical group is a large established network in Singapore, but individual clinic compliance should still be verified independently, particularly given the absence of licence data in this listing.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok)?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — up to S$700 per year for listed chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, stroke, and selected mental health conditions — or up to S$500 per year for general outpatient MediSave withdrawals at approved clinics. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-approved provider and whether it is on your Integrated Shield Plan's outpatient panel before attending. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session and a written pre-treatment estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
