Dr Cindy is one of the best doctors I have visited. She always explains in a way that is easy to understand and takes time to better understand the situation. The reception staff are friendly as well.

Poor experience today, fever and I feel like I’m dying already, walk in 8.30am and till right now yet to see dr. Not very clear how they prioritise patients. They have appointments patients which I understand and they explicitly put wait hours 1-3hrs but at this point it’s past 3hrs I’ve yet to see dr lol… and none really look like they’re dying yet. Mostly told to me taking blood je so I just “die” in the clinic. Similar frustrations for walk ins lol…. 🫠 if I knew better go other clinics where crowd and wait all similar walk in at least more justified

Thank you to the doctor for using the smallest needle to draw my blood. I’m very afraid of blood tests, but I didn’t say anything. I think the doctor noticed and thoughtfully chose the smallest needle for me. This is my third visit to this clinic, and the service has always been excellent. When I first came to Singapore, my English wasn’t very good. But because my name on the pass is in Chinese, the receptionist spoke to me in Chinese to explain what I needed to do. It must have been difficult for her, since Chinese is not her native language. Whether she did it to make her work smoother or for other reasons, I truly appreciate her thoughtfulness. The lady who received me today was the same one who helped me back then. I was really happy to see her again. I believe the current ratings are unfair, because people often only leave reviews when they’re unhappy. I think this clinic is definitely worth visiting.

The queue management system here really needs improvement. I arrived at 8:30 AM with only two walk-ins ahead of me, yet despite being the third in line, I had to wait until almost 11 AM without being attended to. While I understand that appointment patients should be prioritized, it was very confusing and frustrating to see latecomers with appointments being slotted in before walk-ins who arrived much earlier. The staff should manage the queue more transparently and communicate clearly to avoid such unpleasant experiences.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok West) charge?

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits on the lower end of that band. Common add-ons include diagnostic investigations (blood panel S$60–200, throat or nasal swab S$30–80, urine test S$20–50), prescriptions, and medical certificates. GST applies on private medical services. Patients holding CHAS cards (Blue, Orange, or MerdekaSG) may be entitled to subsidised consultations and medications at CHAS-enrolled GP clinics — confirm whether Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok West) participates in the CHAS scheme before your visit. Is Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok West) MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are currently recorded in this listing for Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok West). Every legitimate clinic premises must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, which also shows specialist accreditation and any disciplinary history. Healthway Medical is a chain with multiple outlets islandwide; the group-level licences and individual doctor credentials should be available on request at the clinic counter. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named consulting doctor's SMC entry before proceeding, particularly if you are seeking CHAS subsidies, CDMP enrolment, or a referral letter — these processes require a properly licensed and registered provider. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Healthway Medical (Bukit Batok West)?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than standard GP outpatient visits, so most GP consultations are paid out of pocket or via CHAS subsidies. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — S$500 per year per Medisave account for general CDMP conditions, or S$700 per year for specific listed conditions — provided the clinic is enrolled and the condition qualifies. For outpatient cancer treatment, kidney dialysis, and selected scans, separate MediSave limits (S$200–600 per year) apply and must be confirmed with the clinic. If you hold a CHAS card, subsidy amounts depend on your card tier (Blue, Orange, or MerdekaSG) and the type of consultation or medication. Request a financial counselling session at the clinic if you are managing a chronic condition or anticipating ongoing treatment — the consulting doctor or clinic staff can clarify which subsidies and MediSave claims apply to your specific situation and confirm enrolment in the relevant programmes.
