For a GP visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue length. At a general practice, a first consultation covers presenting complaints, basic examination, prescriptions where indicated, and referral letters to polyclinics or public hospital specialist outpatient clinics (SOC) if further investigation is needed. A polyclinic or GP referral letter is the standard gateway to subsidised SOC appointments at public hospitals for Singapore Citizens and PRs, typically at S$30–80 after subsidy, though non-urgent waits run four to twelve weeks. Patients managing chronic conditions — hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, and others — may access subsidised medications and screenings through the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), with MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits applying to eligible outpatient claims.
To confirm queue times, subsidy eligibility, and CDMP enrolment, contact Healthway Medical (Jurong West Central) directly via phone, WhatsApp, or the online enquiry form before travelling to the clinic.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Very stingy with the mc. Give 1 days only how to recover? From jb to sg for the medical & mc. With the heavy rain, today take mc, tommorrow still got the fever. Then, need to take mc again for 3+ $? Came there bcause want to be well but become much more worst. Wasted & not worth the money spend. For the foreigner, better go for other clinic. No use go here, expensive n not worth your effort
The miscommunication between clinic, radiology and patient caused unnecessary hiccups. The patient was only told by the clinic after they arrive at the clinic that the results were still at the radiologist. But the radiologist has called the patient in the morning that the result was ready. The reason told by clinic is due to insufficient manpower that is why they are unable to collect the results. Note that the case was stated URGENT. But the outcome was just like a normal case…
Poor communications, never highlighted to us that the report is only going ro be available in three months and that it is considered that we have given the "consent" for the report to be available only after three months, your surveyor never highlighted this to my mother. Bad scheduling, it's a fasting blood test, and they kept the elderly waiting until we asked, and then the nurse then fiercely insisted that we must agree that we can only get the report at best one month after the test, why didn't she said so 40 minutes earlier?
The clinic can be really packed so longer wait time is expected. Other than that service is okay, receptionist and doctor are efficient and friendly enough. Expect about an hour wait time from start to end.
Visited the clinic for a medical examination and my experience was very pleasant! Interaction with the nurse at the reception was a pleasure, as she was professional, patient and spoke with a gentle tone. There was another nurse working at the reception as well that I did not interact with directly, but was working in a professional manner as well; dealing with phone calls and speaking in a very amiable tone. Both individuals were doing an excellent job keeping a peaceful and calm environment despite having ~7-8 people patients in the waiting room at any given time, they kept the flow moving smoothly. During the medical examinations itself, both the reception nurse that was assisting - as well as the female doctor were thoughtful and sensitive in the way they spoke/handled me as a patient. I believe that that level of professionalism is priceless in the healthcare sector - as being a patient is a vulnerable experience. The entire appointment lasted for a little over an hour, which was very reasonable - all factors put into consideration. Overall, the clinic floor run by efficient and compassionate women is indeed a powerhouse in my book. Keep up the great work!

GP consultations at private GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with additional charges for investigations (blood panel S$60–200, X-ray S$80–150), procedures, and prescriptions. Healthway Medical is a CHAS-accredited clinic group, which means Singapore Citizens with a CHAS card (Blue, Orange, or Green tier) and Pioneer or Merdeka Generation cardholders may be entitled to subsidised consultation and medication fees — confirm your card's eligibility and the subsidy quantum directly with the clinic at the point of registration. MediSave can be used for outpatient visits under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders, up to the MediSave 500/700 annual withdrawal limits. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned investigation or referral, ask for an itemised estimate that splits MediSave, insurance, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. No regulatory licences have been submitted to KakiList for this listing, so independent verification is strongly recommended before your visit. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — check the MOH licensee directory online using the clinic's name and address. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search the consulting doctor's name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Healthway Medical is a recognised group practice in Singapore, and individual branch licences and doctors can be verified through the above registries. The 2.7/5 rating across 116 Google reviews is a robust sample and reflects a pattern worth reviewing in detail — read recent reviews and consider the specific nature of complaints before booking, particularly regarding wait times, consultation duration, and prescription practices. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC registration before your appointment.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient and day-surgery costs rather than routine GP visits, so most outpatient GP consultations are paid out of pocket or via CHAS subsidies. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed chronic conditions, subject to the S$500 per year (or S$700 for CDMP-enrolled patients) withdrawal limit — confirm CDMP enrolment with the clinic if you manage a qualifying condition. For any specialist referral that flows from a GP visit here, a referral letter to a public hospital SOC unlocks subsidised specialist rates for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs. If your Integrated Shield Plan covers specialist or inpatient care downstream, confirm pre-authorisation requirements with your insurer before the specialist appointment to avoid claim disputes after treatment. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a written financial counselling estimate that clearly splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
