About Healthway Medical Rivervale Plaza
Healthway Medical Rivervale Plaza is a general practice clinic located at Rivervale Plaza in Sengkang, serving patients across the north-east of Singapore. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channel. The clinic holds a 3.6/5 rating across 249 Google reviews — a robust sample, though the below-average score warrants reading recent reviews before attending. No regulatory licences have been provided to KakiList for this listing, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; prospective patients are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence independently on the MOH licensee directory before booking.
For most visits, no referral is needed — walk in or call ahead to check queue length. At a first consultation, the doctor will take a history, examine you, and advise on investigations (blood panel, urine dipstick, ECG) or prescriptions where indicated. For chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia, the clinic may be enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), allowing MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment. Integrated Shield Plan holders should confirm whether the clinic is on their insurer's panel before attending, as GP visits are typically not covered unless the plan includes an outpatient rider. CHAS cardholders and Pioneer or Merdeka Generation seniors should bring their cards, as applicable subsidies apply at participating GP clinics.

The staff member at the registration counter (chinese girl with brown hair) appeared very unfriendly. She spoke very softly and her tone came across as rude. Customer service could be improved. The queue moved extremely slowly, and there was no prior warning that the waiting time would exceed two hours when I registered. It would have been helpful if patients were informed of the estimated waiting time so they could decide whether to stay or visit another clinic.
Seen Dr Tang today. Very nice and friendly cherry doctor. Very detailed in her checkup, unlike some doctors who rush through their checkup. Though this resulted in longer waiting time but is definitely worth the wait
I visited the clinic for arm injury and was attended by Dr Weng. He was very professional and patient, and thorough when cleaning and dressing the wound. Even though he was very busy but everything was explained clearly and I felt well taken care of. The clinic was clean and the staff were friendly. Would recommended!
Its a hopless clinic i brought my daughter when her fever temperature was 38.2. We had to wait for 90 mins to see the doctor. I has to approach the staff again to checky girl’s temperature which rose up to 39.1.. when i went into the room to see the doc.. wven before checking he said that i heard your daughter’s temperature was high, why dont you go to A&E. Why the hell did i wait for 90 mins. Hence i had to ask the doc if will he be checking my girl. Then he checked, gave some medication and gave a referral letter to A&E. I had to wait for quite sometime for the medication. When i ask the staff she can say she dint recieve anything from the doc maybe he is still typing. I had to emphasize to her that my girl is running a high fever and doctor knows. I had to ask her to check.I seriously feel that this clinic doesnt have empathy towards children.
Had a really good experience at the clinic. Dr. Tang is very thorough, she takes times checks and advice, hence may need to wait, but it’s well worth it. The nurses are friendly and efficient, and the SMS reminder for the queue number was really helpful. 👍 Highly recommend!

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range. Common add-ons include investigations such as a basic blood panel (S$60–200 depending on scope), urine tests, ECG, or X-ray, plus prescription medications billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. CHAS cardholders (Blue, Orange, or Green) and Pioneer or Merdeka Generation seniors are entitled to subsidised consultation and medication fees at participating CHAS GP clinics — bring your card and confirm participation at the clinic before your visit. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask for a written cost estimate upfront so you know the out-of-pocket portion before proceeding. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. No licence details have been supplied to KakiList for this listing, so patients are strongly advised to check the MOH directory directly before booking. Every practising doctor in Singapore is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg. Search by the consulting doctor's name to confirm active registration status and any disciplinary history. Healthway Medical is a group practice, so the consulting doctor may vary by session — ask for the doctor's full name at the point of booking and verify their SMC entry independently. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC registration before attending — neither alone is sufficient.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions — up to S$700 per year per MediSave account. For routine acute GP visits (cough, cold, fever), MediSave generally cannot be used at outpatient clinics unless the CDMP applies. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover inpatient and day-surgery costs but rarely cover outpatient GP visits unless the plan includes a specific outpatient or GP rider — check your policy before assuming coverage. CHAS subsidies at the point of consultation are a more common cost offset at GP level. For any investigation or referral to a specialist, request a written breakdown of expected costs — and if a specialist referral is involved, a polyclinic letter can reduce the downstream specialist consultation fee substantially at public hospital specialist outpatient clinics.
