About Healthway Medical (Tampines Central)

About Healthway Medical (Tampines Central)

Healthway Medical (Tampines Central) is a general practice clinic located at 503 Tampines Central 1, #01-311, serving residents across Tampines and the broader east of Singapore. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person confirmed its operating details and contact channel. It holds a 3.7/5 rating across 81 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests a mixed but broadly functional patient experience. No regulatory licence information has been submitted to this listing; prospective patients should verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

For a first visit, walk-in patients typically present at the front desk, complete a brief registration form, and are triaged by the clinic assistant before seeing the doctor. A standard GP consultation covers acute illness, chronic disease follow-up, minor wound care, and routine health screening referrals. If you are managing a chronic condition such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol, ask whether the clinic participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment of listed conditions. For CHAS cardholders, confirm whether the clinic is an approved CHAS provider, as this can reduce out-of-pocket costs substantially for Singapore Citizens and PRs on the relevant income tiers.

To book an appointment, contact Healthway Medical (Tampines Central) via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form, or walk in directly during operating hours.

Might be one of the most warm and friendly GP I have ever met in my life! He was so patient with explaining my symptoms and the prescriptions and even used Google to show me the difference between an infection vs strep throat🤣. This is not your typical meaningless 30s consultation with GP that feels like quick cash for them. Would come back here any time I need medical help. Edit: Receptionist accidentally gave me a drowsy medication but attentive and meticulous Dr Koh was quick to spot it and the error was rectified within 5min! Really in safe hands here

Serene, the nurse is very helpful, cheerful and efficient in her work. She makes sure us as a patient is comfortable & relaxed in all ways. Doctor Koh is also very friendly & explanations are very clear & precise explaining why the government is doing this project NPHS which is very good & beneficial to all citizens, should have .Irene such projects to cater for the elderly and also those who wants to be healthy.

I’ve been seeing Dr Koh for many years. He is gentle, patient, friendly and professional. Many times draw blood for test by him is painless and worry free. Highly recommended ! Also to compliment the senior chinese lady clinic assistant who knows her work well. She is also friendly too and always busy and attend to the people. For those people, who rate this clinic bad due to longer waiting time have been unfair which I felt so. Tell me where you no need wait for service ? You have get your expectation right. When the doctor is good, sure got long queue and you must expect to wait. Those clinic without queue probably the doctor not so good. So please be fair to them.

When down to see dr on 9 feb , when enter the clinic the receptionist staff dont even hv the courtesy to asked politely for my ic instead shes like being annoyed and showing faces. Don't even ask me if I have any drugs allergy and after instead of passing me back my ic she throwing it on the table top. Very rude malay lady, wearing hijab with spectacles. Also did not infom me my the q number. I am also a staff working in healthcare SO PLS RESPECT PATIENT. Worse clinic experience ever definitely not recommend.

Clinic is generally okay but the Malay clinic assistant is just speaking way too loud to her colleague. Discussing about breakfast and even helping her colleague, she need to raise her voice. Making the whole space so noisy

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Healthway Medical (Tampines Central) charge?

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits slightly lower. Common add-ons billed separately include blood tests (S$60–200 depending on the panel), throat or wound swabs, X-rays (S$80–150), and prescription medications. GST applies on private medical services. For CHAS Blue, Orange, or Merdeka cardholders, subsidies can reduce out-of-pocket consultation costs to S$5–18 per visit, subject to the clinic's CHAS participation status — confirm this at registration. MediSave can be used under the CDMP for approved chronic conditions up to S$700/year, and under the MediSave 500 limit for selected outpatient treatments. Any planned investigation or procedure should be quoted in writing so you can reconcile insurance, MediSave, and cash portions before proceeding. Is Healthway Medical (Tampines Central) MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences have been submitted to this KakiList listing, so patients should verify two things independently before booking. First, confirm the clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — this is verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Second, confirm the consulting doctor is on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; the register shows registration status, any specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Healthway Medical is a recognised clinic group in Singapore, and its individual outlets are generally expected to hold the required licensing, but the absence of licence data in this listing means you should not take that for granted. A brief check on both the MOH and SMC registers takes under two minutes and is always worthwhile before attending any medical appointment.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Healthway Medical (Tampines Central)?

For routine GP visits, Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) generally do not cover outpatient consultations unless you have a rider that includes outpatient benefits — check your policy schedule. MediSave can be withdrawn for outpatient chronic disease management under the CDMP (up to S$700/year for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, and selected mental health conditions) and for certain vaccinations and screenings. CHAS cardholders should present their card at registration for subsidised consultation fees. For any planned investigation — such as a blood panel, X-ray, or referral to a specialist — ask the clinic for a written cost estimate that separates what is claimable via MediSave, what your insurer will cover, and what you pay in cash. For referrals to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic (SOC), a GP referral letter from this clinic will qualify you for subsidised rates of S$30–80 per consult as a Singapore Citizen, versus S$120–250 self-referred to a private specialist.
