About Home Instead MET
Home Instead MET is a senior transport provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed under eldercare on KakiList. The listing has been verified by a KakiList team member, though ACRA registration has not been confirmed. With 8 Google reviews at 4.5 out of 5, the sample size is too small to draw firm conclusions — treat the rating as directional only. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier, though specific rates have not been published.
Families typically enquire about senior transport when a loved one needs reliable, consistent journeys to medical appointments, day rehabilitation centres, dialysis sessions, or social activities. The starting point is assessing mobility requirements — whether the elder uses a wheelchair, walking frame, or is ambulatory — alongside any medical considerations such as fall risk, dementia, or post-surgical recovery. From there, you would confirm frequency (daily, weekly, or ad hoc), preferred pick-up times, and whether a caregiver escort or door-to-door assistance is needed, not just kerb-to-kerb. It is also worth clarifying whether the service covers both public hospitals and private specialists across the island.
To take the next step, reach out to Home Instead MET directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to discuss your loved one's specific mobility needs, journey frequency, and preferred schedule before confirming a booking.

We wanted to bring my grandma home from the hospital before she breathed her last and was rushing for time. Irene coordinated the arrangements for us despite the late hour. And due to her dedication, we were able to bring my grandma home in less than 2 days after my first contact with Irene. Although my grandma passed away less than 12 hours later, we were so relieved we got to fulfil her last wish; to be at home. And this was made possible by Irene and we will forever be grateful. Nurse Karen was assigned to my grandma. Without prompting, Irene arranged for Nurse Karen to meet the family at the hospital to accompany my grandma home. Nurse Karen was so gentle and spoke comfortingly to my grandma despite the short time they spent together. Those around them felt comforted too. Irene displayed lots of sympathy and empathy at the news of my grandma's passing and facilitated the refund without being asked. My family and I are truly appreciative for the heart work that Irene and Karen have done
We were very grateful for Home Instead team who helped us when we were in need for caregiver service. My mom needed to go for daily radiation for period of 3 weeks, which was difficult for us as working couple. With Irene's help in assigning a daily caregiver who came to pick up my mom, brought her to hospital, waited for her session and brought her home, it was such a huge relief. Knowing she was in safe hand with updates when my mom had reached home, we were very grateful. Even the protocol was quite strict, by making sure caregiver met my mom in her house for pick up and waited until she entered her house. Invoicing of the service and any related transport was done meticulously by Irene and we never had any dispute. Once again, thank you to Irene, Berenice and Natasha for taking good care of my mom. We will definitely rely on Home Instead for future assistance.
Got in touch with Reuben from Home Instead for the caregiving services for my sister. I appreciate that communications are personalised, prompt, and human-to human. In order to fit our needs, Reuben had to reschedule the roster of his caregivers, which I am extremely grateful and thankful for. Unfortunately, despite all Reuben had done for us, we ultimately did not utilize the services he had arranged, due to my sister's untimely passing. Special thanks to Berenice (the contracted caregiver) and Jamaliyah (the nurse) who stayed on with me on the day I was told my sister would not make it past the weekend. They offered much comfort and companionship during a very difficult time. I wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead for their reliable, well-coordinated, and personalised services.
On my last visit to Singapore, I was a bit apprehensive because being a stroke survivor from Australia, I was accustomed to daily showers and care from my Ndis support workers. I reached out to Reuben from Home Instead who accommodated to my requests. I was pleasantly surprised by the carer, Khin and Berenice who were caring and helped me even with my walks and exercise. They were excellent and well matched to my needs. Because of Home Instead’s services and Reuben’s help I would not hesitate recommending them. I will definitely use again when I return to Singapore.
Hi Irene & team, since 16 April 2021, my mum and family have enjoyed excellent caregiving services from your care professionals, especially on short notice for urgent needs. I especially want to thank Cindy who has been always there for my mum on the days my mum's helper is not around. We look forward to having Cindy with us in 2023 too!

Home Instead MET has not published a specific rate card, and senior transport pricing in Singapore varies depending on vehicle type (standard car versus wheelchair-accessible vehicle), journey distance, frequency of bookings, and whether a caregiver escort is included. Ad hoc bookings typically cost more per trip than recurring scheduled runs, and peak-hour slots or early-morning hospital departures may carry surcharges. Public holiday rates are also commonly higher. Contact Home Instead MET directly via WhatsApp or phone to request a quote based on your specific route, schedule, and mobility requirements. Get the full per-trip or monthly rate, any fuel or ERP surcharges, and the cancellation policy in writing before committing. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
Home Instead MET's listed subcategory is senior transport rather than residential or in-home care, so the service is visit-based — structured around scheduled journeys rather than live-in or hourly companionship care. Each booking covers a specific trip, such as a hospital appointment or day centre run, rather than continuous on-site support. If your family also needs personal care, nursing visits, or companionship services alongside transport, you would need to arrange those separately through a home care or eldercare provider. When enquiring with Home Instead MET, confirm the exact scope — whether the driver or escort assists the elder from door to vehicle, waits during appointments, and assists on return — so expectations are clear on both sides.
Home Instead MET has not published details of staff training qualifications or insurance coverage on its KakiList listing. For senior transport specifically, the key questions to ask are whether drivers hold a valid vocational licence (TDVL) where required, whether staff are trained in basic mobility assistance and fall prevention, and whether the vehicle carries passenger liability insurance covering elderly riders. No regulatory licences are recorded in this listing, and AIC or MOH registration has not been confirmed. Families should ask Home Instead MET directly for documentation of insurance coverage, driver credentials, and any dementia-awareness or first-aid training before proceeding.
