About Home Instead Singapore
Home Instead Singapore provides elderly caregiver services across the island, operating from its base at ICON@Changi on Changi Road. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a 4.5/5 rating across 8 Google reviews, though that is a small sample and should be treated as directional only. No regulatory licences are currently recorded on this listing, and pricing information has not been published.
Families typically begin by conducting a care assessment to establish the elder's mobility, medical, and personal care needs, as well as the number of hours required each week. It is worth clarifying at the outset whether Home Instead Singapore offers visit-based care, full-day cover, or live-in arrangements, and which services fall within scope — personal hygiene, companionship, medication reminders, or more clinical nursing support. Confirming caregiver training and any dementia-specific experience is advisable where relevant, as is understanding the replacement policy should a caregiver not prove a good match. Family decision-makers should discuss the care plan together before signing any agreement, and a short trial period can help establish fit before committing to a longer arrangement.

We wanted to bring my grandma home from the hospital before she breathed her last and was rushing for time. Irene coordinated the arrangements for us despite the late hour. And due to her dedication, we were able to bring my grandma home in less than 2 days after my first contact with Irene. Although my grandma passed away less than 12 hours later, we were so relieved we got to fulfil her last wish; to be at home. And this was made possible by Irene and we will forever be grateful. Nurse Karen was assigned to my grandma. Without prompting, Irene arranged for Nurse Karen to meet the family at the hospital to accompany my grandma home. Nurse Karen was so gentle and spoke comfortingly to my grandma despite the short time they spent together. Those around them felt comforted too. Irene displayed lots of sympathy and empathy at the news of my grandma's passing and facilitated the refund without being asked. My family and I are truly appreciative for the heart work that Irene and Karen have done
We were very grateful for Home Instead team who helped us when we were in need for caregiver service. My mom needed to go for daily radiation for period of 3 weeks, which was difficult for us as working couple. With Irene's help in assigning a daily caregiver who came to pick up my mom, brought her to hospital, waited for her session and brought her home, it was such a huge relief. Knowing she was in safe hand with updates when my mom had reached home, we were very grateful. Even the protocol was quite strict, by making sure caregiver met my mom in her house for pick up and waited until she entered her house. Invoicing of the service and any related transport was done meticulously by Irene and we never had any dispute. Once again, thank you to Irene, Berenice and Natasha for taking good care of my mom. We will definitely rely on Home Instead for future assistance.
Got in touch with Reuben from Home Instead for the caregiving services for my sister. I appreciate that communications are personalised, prompt, and human-to human. In order to fit our needs, Reuben had to reschedule the roster of his caregivers, which I am extremely grateful and thankful for. Unfortunately, despite all Reuben had done for us, we ultimately did not utilize the services he had arranged, due to my sister's untimely passing. Special thanks to Berenice (the contracted caregiver) and Jamaliyah (the nurse) who stayed on with me on the day I was told my sister would not make it past the weekend. They offered much comfort and companionship during a very difficult time. I wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead for their reliable, well-coordinated, and personalised services.
On my last visit to Singapore, I was a bit apprehensive because being a stroke survivor from Australia, I was accustomed to daily showers and care from my Ndis support workers. I reached out to Reuben from Home Instead who accommodated to my requests. I was pleasantly surprised by the carer, Khin and Berenice who were caring and helped me even with my walks and exercise. They were excellent and well matched to my needs. Because of Home Instead’s services and Reuben’s help I would not hesitate recommending them. I will definitely use again when I return to Singapore.
Hi Irene & team, since 16 April 2021, my mum and family have enjoyed excellent caregiving services from your care professionals, especially on short notice for urgent needs. I especially want to thank Cindy who has been always there for my mum on the days my mum's helper is not around. We look forward to having Cindy with us in 2023 too!

Home Instead Singapore has not published its rates on this listing, so you will need to contact them directly for a personalised quote. As a reference, visit-based home care in Singapore typically runs S$20–35 per hour, with half-day or full-day packages priced accordingly. Live-in arrangements involve a separate daily or monthly rate, and agency placement fees may apply on top of the caregiver's salary. Confirm in writing whether public holiday surcharges, overnight premiums, and any insurance or levy costs are included or billed separately. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
This listing does not specify the service model, so it is worth asking Home Instead Singapore directly whether they provide visit-based hourly care, full-day cover, or live-in caregivers. Visit-based care typically suits elders who are relatively independent and need a few hours of support daily; live-in arrangements are more appropriate for those requiring round-the-clock supervision or complex personal care. Regardless of the model, ask about the minimum engagement period, what scope of tasks the caregiver can perform, and whether a trial period is available before signing a longer contract. A clear written care plan covering hours, tasks, and rates protects both parties.
Home Instead Singapore does not currently list any regulatory licences on this profile, so you should ask directly about caregiver qualifications — including any nursing certification, dementia care training, or first-aid accreditation. For clinical nursing tasks such as wound care or medication administration, the caregiver or agency should hold the relevant AIC or MOH registration. Confirm whether insurance is in place to cover caregiver injury on the job or incidents involving the client. Reputable home care providers carry public liability insurance and workmen's compensation for their staff. Insist on seeing documentation of these before the first session. Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
