About House of Smarty Paws

About House of Smarty Paws

House of Smarty Paws is a pet training provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed at a mid-range price point ($$). The business is ACRA-registered and KakiList-verified. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5, though this is based on 6 reviews, so the rating should be treated as directional rather than conclusive at this stage.

When reaching out to House of Smarty Paws, it helps to have basic information ready about your pet — breed, size, age, and temperament — as these factors typically influence which training programme is most appropriate. Vaccination records are usually required before sessions begin. It is worth asking whether a trial visit or introductory session is available so you can assess how your pet responds before committing to a longer programme. Clarify whether sessions are conducted at a fixed location, at your home, or at another venue, and discuss how frequently sessions are recommended to achieve your training goals.

The most direct next step is to contact House of Smarty Paws via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to describe your pet's breed, temperament, and the specific behaviours you would like to address, and to ask about available session slots and pricing.

So far not too bad. We boarded our doggy for 2wks plus whole on holiday and allowed them to give him some training to walk beside us. They have accommodated to most of our request while boarding him and updated us with videos of what he has learnt. I do see an improvement in our dog being able to walk beside us instead of in front of us. The rest is still up to us owner to retain what the school input. Charges are also quite reasonable as it includes obedience training & treadmill walks daily and a once a week swim.

My shib would sometimes be aggressive towards other dogs. After a couple of lessons by trainer Joseph he is able to socialize well. Very reasonable charges inclusive of 2 way transport and meals. My baby is a great swimmer now!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does House of Smarty Paws charge?

House of Smarty Paws is listed at a mid-range price point ($$), but specific per-session fees have not been published on this listing. In the Singapore pet training market, group obedience classes typically start from around S$50–S$80 per session, while private one-to-one training sessions generally range from S$100 to S$250 or more depending on duration and the trainer's experience. Specialised programmes — such as aggression management or service dog conditioning — tend to sit at the higher end. When confirming your booking, ask whether the quoted fee covers all sessions in a programme or is charged individually, and check whether there are additional costs for travel, materials, or follow-up support. What vaccinations does House of Smarty Paws require?

Most reputable pet trainers and training facilities in Singapore require proof of up-to-date vaccinations before sessions begin, particularly if training takes place in a shared or group environment. For dogs, the core vaccinations are typically DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and rabies; bordetella (kennel cough) is also commonly required where dogs interact closely with others. For cats, FVRCP coverage is standard. Vaccination records are generally expected to be current within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or a vet-issued certificate to your first session. Contact House of Smarty Paws directly to confirm their specific vaccination requirements before attending.

Is House of Smarty Paws licensed and insured?

House of Smarty Paws is ACRA-registered and KakiList-verified, meaning its operating details and contact channels have been confirmed. No regulatory licences are listed on this profile. In Singapore, the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board requires licensing primarily for boarding and grooming facilities; pet training services are not subject to the same mandatory AVS licensing framework, so the absence of a listed AVS licence is not necessarily a concern for a training-only provider. That said, it is reasonable to ask House of Smarty Paws whether they carry public liability or pet care insurance that would cover incidents during a session. Visit the facility or training venue, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance coverage before drop-off.
