About I Can Read

About I Can Read

I Can Read is an enrichment class provider operating islandwide across Singapore, verified by KakiList and registered with ACRA. Its Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 is drawn from 176 reviews, a robust sample that lends reasonable weight to the score. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific per-session or monthly fees are not published in the listing and should be confirmed directly with the provider.

Parents looking to enrol a child should begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — I Can Read operates its own structured reading and literacy programme, so it is worth confirming whether the content aligns with your child's current stage and any school-based literacy targets. Ask about trial class availability, group versus one-to-one formats, class sizes, and whether enrolment is term-based or rolling. The centre is located at 180 Kitchener Road, #07-09, and contact can be made via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form — WhatsApp is typically the fastest route for availability questions.

To take the next step, reach out via WhatsApp or phone to ask about a trial class for your child's age group and current reading level, and confirm the term commitment and fee structure before booking.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at I CAN READ City Square Mall! Teacher Ira and Teacher Alice are amazing, patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to the children’s learning journey. My child always looks forward to class and comes home excited to share what they’ve learned. A special shoutout to Ms. Chris, the customer service manager, for always being so patient and helpful. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly for both parents and children. Highly recommend this centre to any parent looking for a nurturing and effective place for their child to grow in reading and confidence! 📚✨

I CAN Read has really sparked our son interest in phonics. He now tries to read out words on his own and even enjoys doing his homework. What impresses me most is that he can clearly share with us what he learns in school, which shows he’s truly absorbing and understanding the lessons. We’re very happy with his progress with teacher Alice. Chris is very warm and creates a welcoming environment every time we drop off our son, which makes the whole experience even better.

My daughter has been with ICR-CSM since March 2024. Her English has improved tremendously. The teachers kept us update on her performance in class and even the Customer Service - Chris is always on the ball helping us with all sorts of inquiries. Would definitely recommend anyone to ICR-CSM.

Enrolling our daughter in I Can Read City Square branch was one of the best decisions we made for her. My daughter is improving well in her reading skills in just one term! Staff are awesome too!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does I Can Read charge per session?

I Can Read lists its pricing at a mid-range tier ($$), but specific per-session, monthly, or term fees are not published publicly and will vary depending on the programme, level, and class format. When you enquire, ask whether fees are charged per session, per month, or per term, and whether a materials or registration fee applies separately. Some enrichment providers also offer sibling discounts or package deals for block bookings — worth asking about upfront. A trial class fee, if applicable, is typically lower than the standard rate. Confirm the full cost before committing to a term. See the full enrichment class cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many enrichment providers, including structured literacy programmes such as I Can Read, offer a trial class so that parents and children can assess fit before signing up for a full term. Contact I Can Read directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask whether a trial is available for your child's age and level, and whether a fee applies. During the trial, observe whether the pace and content match your child's current ability, whether the child is engaged, and whether the teaching style suits how your child learns. A good trial class should give you a clear sense of the programme's methodology and what weekly sessions would look like going forward.

What are the tutors' credentials at I Can Read?

I Can Read uses a proprietary structured literacy methodology, and its educators are typically trained specifically in the I Can Read programme rather than through a general NIE or MOE pathway. The programme has been in operation internationally for a number of years, and centre staff are generally expected to hold the provider's internal certification. Specific tutor qualifications are not listed in the available information. Before committing to a term, it is reasonable to ask the centre directly about the lead educator's background, years of experience with the programme, and how progress is tracked and reported to parents.
