Most GP visits follow a straightforward pathway: walk in or call ahead to check queue length, present your symptoms to the doctor, receive a diagnosis, and collect any prescription or referral on the same visit. For Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol, the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment at participating CDMP clinics — confirm directly whether iDOC Clinic Hougang is enrolled in CDMP. MediShield Life covers inpatient costs; most standard GP outpatient visits are paid in cash or via NETS, with Integrated Shield Plan coverage applying mainly to specialist and inpatient settings. CHAS cardholders may be eligible for subsidised GP fees if the clinic participates in the Community Health Assist Scheme.
The most direct next step is to call the clinic on the listed phone number or submit the enquiry form to confirm current operating hours, queue availability, and whether the clinic participates in CHAS and CDMP before your visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr Annabelle was extremely patient and always went above and beyond to help my father with his LPA application. Even though they met with some difficulties during the process, she was extremely nice and readily helpful. My mum has mentioned that she has never met a kinder doctor like Dr Lim, and she hopes many will be blessed with her love for helping people and her kind heart. Thank you Dr Lim for going above and beyond for the people you help. You’re a wonderful doctor to us.
I arrived at the clinic at 8:30 AM and waited in line until 9:00 AM when it finally opened. There were about six patients ahead of me. During that time, patients with appointments kept cutting in line! The nurses' scheduling affected those of us who had arrived early and were waiting for the clinic to open, which was extremely unfair! I didn't get to see a doctor until 12:00 PM, a full three to four hours. Overall, this clinic is problematic in four ways: first, it doesn't open on time; second, the service is terrible; third, the doctor lacks experience; and fourth, the wait times are too long. If you have other options, please do not go to this clinic. This is a sincere warning to everyone.
To clarify with the latest 2 star review. I was present during the conversation, and would like to clarify that both the receptionists were simply following the queue system to ensure fairness to all patients. There were other patients who had arrived earlier, so it would not have been appropriate for them to let anyone skip the line. Both Yeeling and Naz conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times, and we appreciate their dedication to maintaining order and providing clear information to every patient.
Dr Anna belle Lim is soft spoken, kind and detailed in my treatment. Appreciated that she also took time to certify LPA fpr me so that I do not need to come back again. Staff at registration, though slightly lack of smile, but are proficient in their work.
Very Dr Annabelle is extremely caring and thorough. She ensures that she checks all through all your symptoms. She also explains the care needed to get better. The ladies at the reception are also very kind and polite. Affordable too. this shall be my GP now.

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, covering the doctor's assessment and a standard prescription. Common add-ons billed separately include diagnostic tests such as blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, throat swabs, and rapid antigen tests, as well as any additional medications beyond a basic dispensing. GST applies on private medical services. iDOC Clinic Hougang is listed at the '$$' price tier, which is broadly consistent with neighbourhood GP pricing. For CHAS Orange and Blue cardholders, subsidised consultation fees apply at participating clinics — confirm directly whether the clinic is a CHAS panel member. Any planned follow-up or referral to a specialist will carry its own separate consultation fee at the receiving clinic. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licence details have been provided for this listing. Every legitimate GP clinic should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor in Singapore is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; you can search by the doctor's name to confirm their registration status and any relevant specialist accreditation or disciplinary history. ACRA registration has also not been confirmed for this listing. Before your visit, it is straightforward to check both the MOH licensee directory and the SMC register using the clinic's name and the consulting doctor's name. Neither check takes more than a few minutes and both are publicly accessible without an account. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
For standard outpatient GP visits, MediSave is generally not withdrawable — most patients pay out of pocket or via cash or NETS. MediSave withdrawals for outpatient care are permitted under two main schemes: the MediSave 500/700 limit for approved chronic condition management under CDMP (covering conditions including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, stroke, and selected mental health conditions), and separately for vaccinations and health screenings under the Medisave 500 outpatient withdrawal. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-approved provider before expecting MediSave to offset your bill. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life generally apply to inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP visits. CHAS subsidies reduce the out-of-pocket consultation fee for eligible cardholders at participating clinics. For any referral to a specialist or a planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving clinic that splits your insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and remaining out-of-pocket amount before committing to treatment.
