We engaged this carpentry company after coming across their Facebook page and arranged a meet-up with their lead carpenter, Teck. Teck is a senior carpenter with many years of experience. During the discussion, he was very professional when taking measurements and explaining how the furniture should be built properly for long-term durability. One thing about Teck he is very direct. Unlike some younger contractors we met previously, he doesn’t sugar-coat his words even a little. If a design idea clashes with practicality or durability, he will say it straight. At first, we found him blunt, but later we realised he was simply being honest and responsible. The real shock came on the first day of installation.Me and my wife was there. When the carpentry arrived, we saw three senior carpenters, all easily in their 60s or 70s, and one honestly looked old enough to be our grandfather. I looked at my wife and we really quietly wondered… can they really handle the job? Butterfly flying in my wife stomach because it's our first home. That doubt didn’t last long. Their experience spoke louder than their age. They worked steadily, confidently, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. The team took about 7 working days to complete all our carpentry works installation the kitchen cabinets and three wardrobes and the result was zero defects. Everything was properly aligned to our instructed needs, solid, and neatly finished. No excuses, no rework, no complaints needed. Teck may be a very direct person who speaks his mind, but he is reliable and puts durability and practicality above all else. If something doesn’t make sense structurally, he will say no but does comply if we explain and now we understand why. Cost-wise, they are not the cheapest, but after comparing with several other quotations, their quote is the 2nd cheapest, the pricing was very reasonable for the level of workmanship and experience delivered. Overall, we are very satisfied and would highly recommend this carpentry company to homeowners who value honest advice and real craftsmanship.

I took a while to feedback as I want to assess their workmanship and professionalism before leaving a review. I engaged Jia Soon to renovate my kitchen. Renovation started in late November 2024 but ended mid January 2025 -yes, a bit of overrun. Ah Teck is an elderly guy with many years of experience under his belt and is conversant mainly in Chinese. As with all renovations, there were hiccups but overall, I had a good experience w Ah Teck & Jia Soon. I have used his carpentry for 4 months now and I have no major concerns (but I'm also NOT those who abuse my cabinets type). Workmanship is good. My main concern when I decided to renovate my kitchen is reliability of contractors. I was very afraid to meet those "Fly-By-Night" contractors who accepts 50% deposit, hacks your kitchen naked and disappears. I was thankful Jia Soon is reliable in this sense. They delivered what I had wanted (save for some hiccups which honestly i might also experience if i had engaged another contractor). So far, I've been enjoying my "new" kitchen daily. Their quotation was not the cheapest I had received but they are also not exactly expensive. If I need to renovate again in future, I will engage their services again as I find Ah Teck honest. He's an elderly guy so in terms of communications & turnaround time, may require a bit of patience & understanding on client's side.

We engaged this company for carpentry work, but unfortunately the end product was not usable as it did not appear stable. We have been trying to contact them for several months, but our calls and messages were completely ignored. Instead of taking responsibility or checking what went wrong, they pushed the blame back onto us. The service and after-sales support were extremely poor. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
