We are extremely thankful to have Nicholas as our interior designer. He is a very patient and reliable person to work with. We actually signed the quotation with him even before our key collection, almost a year ago. During that time, we had plenty of opportunities to consider other IDs, but Nic consistently gave us a strong sense of comfort and trust, which made us confident to move forward with him. Throughout the renovation period, Nic kept us well-updated and managed all the contractors very professionally. It was clear that the contractors respected him and were willing to deliver their best work under his management. My husband and I are very detailed and have high expectations for perfection. Whenever something didn’t look right, we highlighted it to Nic, and he would promptly arrange for the contractors to rectify and resolve the issues. He truly gave us the peace of mind to “hands off” and let him manage our entire 3-month renovation journey. Thanks to his dedication and hard work, we now have our perfect new home. We are appreciative of having Althea as our ID for our recent home renovation. We met her at a ID fair and she was a standout in terms of her consultation, design ideas, and understanding of our needs. Throughout the whole renovation process, we were impressed by her eye for design and were able to fully trust her suggested materials for various parts of the house e.g. carpentry, tiles, furniture. The actual renovation was relatively smooth with most issues being swiftly handled by her team. Additionally, she suggested that we stay in the house for a month before handover, allowing us to find defects of which all were rectified. Highly recommend her services.

We engaged Gerald from Jialux Interior to do a total gutted renovation for our resale condo in March 2025 as he sounded really sincere initially when we compared between a few IDs. He pointed out he has 8 years of experience in the industry and even have works featured on Qanvast. Gerald chooses to do his work as an ID "off-site" and just forwarding us the progress video that his subcontractors had sent him on what they have done. This resulted us to have to go down every other day to check on the quality and progress of his team of people as we have already lost trust in him. Due to the subpar tiling quality, we had to re-tile many parts of our house, with some parts being re-tiled up to 4 times and a initial stipulated 2 weeks work ends up being delayed to 7 weeks long. Despite us reflecting to him that the quality of his tilers was bad and he should check on their quality more often, his work attitude remains the same by sending us the progress of their works and not checking on the finished job, so we had to be his QC team and go down to check and point out the defects to him. All of the subcontractors that were hired by Gerald had their share of problems. Examples are like the balcony doors having a gaping hole at the top when our requirement to Gerald was to block off the road noise as our unit was facing the PIE. We had to find another contractor on our end to hack and redo the balcony doors as the ones used by them are really subpar, which resulted in further delays. Gerald was also on-site when obvious things happened under his nose. We asked for the existing window lockset amd hinges to be replaced with new ones, yet his contractors installed a new one on top of the old ones and the existing one was still on the window and the hinges were not replaced at all. Gerald also installed drawers that were 1.5m wide in our wardrobe, claiming that they are great for storage but did not consider the weight and the possibility of the drawers warping. And with many carpentries starting to be installed, we realised there were gaps between the carpentry and the wall. Gerald claimed that it was due to our walls being crooked right from the start but it was obvious that he was just giving excuses as he did not checked on the progress during the wet work phase of his workers, resulting in the walls were all not straightened after the hacking works and that they had to bare additional cost to straighten the wall at the later phase when most of the carpentries are up. Our kitchen sink was chocked for more than 2 weeks after moving in. We had to face with so much trouble after moving in and finally the 4th group of plumber found out that the trap hole that the kitchen sink leads to, was sealed under a kitchen tile. Gerald still had to cheek to say that maybe the previous owner had sealed up the trap hole, which was impossible as the unit was in the developer given state, thinking he was able to "smoke" us through . They have to hack away the tile, find the trap hole and re-tile the floor when we had already moved in. Even after moving in, all of the reworks took more than 2 weeks to get completed as the reworks can never get completed in 1 visit and we had to take many time offs to let the contractor in to the unit to do the complete the reworks. All in all, this renovation journey was our lifetime worst regret in appointing Gerald from Jialux Interior as we had to endure with all the arguing, finger-pointing, finding excuses, bringing up to higher ups to resolve the issue, when all of these can be avoided if Gerald had checked on the works of his subcontractors right from the start. Also, with all these problems arising, Gerald had never once admitted it was his mistake and apologised. He even pointed out he had to absorbed cost on the reworks, which should be the case as the works were subpar right from the start. All for these should not be coming from someone of 8 years of experience in the industry.

We just had our handover today with our interior designer, Weixuan, and my husband and I are really happy with how our dream home turned out from the original 3D render. Throughout the renovation, Weixuan was quick to respond which really mattered to us as eager homeowners with millions of questions. He worked well with the different contractors to get things done & made sure touch-ups were arranged promptly until we were happy with the results! What we really appreciated was how patient and understanding he was with our changes and different requests along the way. Renovation can be a pretty stressful journey, but having someone calm, approachable, and willing to help fix any issues made a big difference for us. Thanks to his effort, our ideas have come to life and we now have a home we’re truly excited to move into. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
