New patients typically begin with a first consultation and clinical assessment, during which the dentist will review dental history, take X-rays where necessary, and discuss treatment options — whether for routine scaling and polishing, restorative work, orthodontics, or other concerns. It is worth confirming the specific services offered, fees, and whether the clinic accepts CHAS, Medisave (for eligible procedures), or company dental benefits before attending, as dental fee structures in Singapore vary by treatment type and are not always published in advance.
To get started, contact Jurong Point Dental Surgery by phone or via the enquiry form to confirm appointment availability and bring along your identity card and any relevant dental records for your first visit.
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Recent one star reviews speak volumes about Dr Ng Kah Hui for being unprofessional with unethical billing practices and substandard dental skills. I visited Q&M dental clinic at Jurong Point on 22nd December 2025 at 4PM for an appointment. I was attended to the young female dentist Dr Ng Kah Hui. In that 30 minutes procedure, all I did was the normal scaling & polishing, with 2 X-Rays done (advised by Dr Ng despite me having no teeth concerns), and a fluoride treatment. I came out with a cut on my upper right lip due to her lack of technical competency. When I was about to make payment, the initial bill amounted to $903.61. I told the front desk executive Shariffah that I wanted the itemised invoice. To my horror, multiple dental treatments that I did not do were added into the bill. I refused to pay and Shariffah brought me back to the dentist room to meet Dr Ng. She admitted that she wrongly assumed that my company's dental insurance had an uncap limit. I told her no, there is a cap of $600. As a result, she rectified the bill down to $653.77. Even after changing the bill, there were several treatments that were charged to me like root canal treatment and fillings which I did not do at all. Dr Ng herself even told me that my teeth were in good shape with no decay upon the X-Ray results that she asked me to do. A professional should only charge me based on the actual dental services that I've done, and not misuse my company's insurance dental benefit. I am deeply concerned by this incident, as it involved substantial overcharging for treatments that were not rendered. This raises serious issues regarding unfair and unethical billing practices. Consultation was $25, scaling & polishing was $85, fluoride treatment was $40, and 2 X-Rays were $70. Even as I add up the total costs inclusive of GST, my rightful bill should have been $239.80. How did Dr Ng mark up the price by close to 4 times? I have already raised this matter with the Singapore Dental Council and have lodged a police report, and they will be proceeding with an investigation. I will also alert my company's insurance provider to highlight this fraudulent act by Dr Ng Kah Hui. I have even emailed Q&M for transparency with full receipts and evidence. I hope your company recognise the severity of this matter and revoke Dr Ng Kah Hui's license to prevent further damage to your company’s reputation.
I'm thoroughly impressed with the service and care I received at Jurong Point Q&M! I visited for scaling and polishing, and Doctor Chong was incredibly thorough and professional. I mentioned my sensitivity issue with cold water on my upper right tooth, and the doctor took the time to examine and diagnose the problem - gum recession caused by brushing too hard. The doctor's advice to switch to a softer toothbrush was spot on, and the filling procedure for my 3 teeth was done with precision and care. I'm now sensitivity-free, and I'm so grateful for the doctor's expertise. The assistance and receptionist were also super friendly and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Jurong Point Q&M for their excellent service and compassionate care! Rating 5/5 stars
Need to think wisely before choosing this outlet as i was being recommended by my colleague. My first time visited this place. The receptionist at this outlet overcharge me by mistake and I have to write in. Waste my time and money over here. I was so disappointed with this outlet. Having a bad luck and experience to even consider this place as my dental option. Wonder how is their SOP works whereby both of them were chatting with each other and there are only 2 customers at that moment. I will never want to book my appointment with this clinic again. Regretted this choice in my whole life.
i came for scaling and polishing with doctor Leong Jun Ni. The doctor was amazing, she calmly cleaned my tooth slowly, it doesnt hurt at all. I could tolerate it throughout the session. The doctor also advises on the proper way of brushing and flossing the teeth. All the nurses are very friendly and helpful. They are beautiful too! Highly recommend Q&M at JP! Will definitely come here again! Thank you! 🤗
Zero compassion during appointment making. Called up other nearby Jurong branches due to urgent review for my child and they were pleasant and showed patience in explaining that there were no child dentist at that moment. Suggested to contact JP branch and a robotic sounding receptionist picked up and repeated many times that they only takes in provided the child is able to sit through the session without crying etc (which I already told her I understand as my child is an existing Q&M patient). Explained the urgency of the matter and asked me which day am I looking at?! When I repeated myself that it is urgent and would it be possible for an urgent review on the same day, she said no and began raising her voice sounding like a broken record saying no walk in today. At that point I just decided to put down the call with the intention to write in this poor review requesting for your branch to do a review on your poor staff performance.

Dental fees in Singapore vary significantly by treatment type. A routine consultation and scaling and polishing typically runs S$50–120 at a general dental clinic. Fillings range from S$80–250 depending on material (composite vs amalgam), while extractions run S$80–300 (higher for surgical or impacted wisdom teeth). Crowns and root canal treatments can range from S$800–2,500+ per tooth. X-rays are usually billed separately at S$20–80 per film or S$100–300 for a full-mouth OPG. GST applies on dental procedures. Confirm the exact fee schedule with Jurong Point Dental Surgery before treatment, and ask whether CHAS subsidies or Medisave (applicable for surgical procedures like wisdom tooth extraction and certain periodontal treatments) can offset your out-of-pocket cost. No referral is required to attend a general dental clinic. New patients typically complete a brief intake form covering dental history, medications, and allergies before the first examination. The dentist will carry out a clinical assessment and, where indicated, take diagnostic X-rays before recommending a treatment plan. If you have a complex condition — such as a jaw disorder, significant gum disease, or require specialist orthodontic or oral surgical care — the clinic may refer you to a specialist or restructured hospital dental centre. Patients with specific medical conditions (blood thinners, bisphosphonate use, uncontrolled diabetes) should disclose these at intake as they affect treatment protocols.
In Singapore, all practising dentists must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC) under the Dental Registration Act — this is the primary licence to verify. The SDC public register is searchable by practitioner name at moh.gov.sg. Dental clinics operating as businesses are additionally required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services (Dental) Licence under the Healthcare Services Act. No ACRA business registration has been confirmed in this listing, and no licences are recorded in the KakiList data — it is advisable to confirm the consulting dentist's SDC registration number and the clinic's MOH healthcare services licence directly before proceeding with treatment. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
