About K9 Kampong

About K9 Kampong

K9 Kampong is a pet training provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed and verified on KakiList. It holds a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 54 reviews, which represents a moderate sample size and is a reasonable signal of client satisfaction. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range bracket.

When enquiring about training for your dog, it helps to share details about your pet's size, breed, and temperament upfront, as these factors influence the approach and structure of a training programme. Have your dog's vaccination records ready, as reputable trainers typically require proof of up-to-date vaccinations before commencing sessions. Ask about whether a trial visit or assessment session is available so the trainer can evaluate your dog's current behaviour and you can gauge the training style. Clarify whether sessions are drop-off based or conducted with the owner present, and discuss whether a recurring schedule suits your goals better than standalone sessions.

To take the next step, reach out to K9 Kampong via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to share your dog's profile and discuss which training programme is the right fit.

As our dog is a retired police K9 dog, we initially seeked out a trainer with the sole purpose of getting the mandatory obedience cert. We thought that the sessions would just be about learning commands. However, Su Lin helped us in sooo many more ways than that! I like that she helped us understand our dog’s behaviours, advocate for the dog’s happiness and safety, and tailored each session to what our dog specifically needed with solutions that might work for our space and lifestyle. Su Lin is not one to sugar coat, but she is also very encouraging! She proves that positive reinforcement not only works for dogs but for humans too haha. And most importantly, our dog has improved so much already in a short amount of time! Even tho we’ve gotten our cert already, we are keen to continue working with her ☺️

We had such a great experience with Su Lin! She was super helpful in teaching us how to use positive reinforcement to train our puppy, Kai, especially to reduce his attention-seeking behaviour, which she quickly noticed. As an info junkie who’s done plenty of online research, this was something I’d completely overlooked — but Su Lin picked it up right away, and it’s made such a big difference. As first-time pawrents, we really appreciated her tips since we had zero experience. Kai responded so well, and it was really reassuring to know we’re on the right track. Even after lessons concluded, she’d offer helpful tips and videos. Su Lin is patient, encouraging and always happy to answer our questions. She was also really understanding when we mentioned our furkid’s clinginess to one pawrent. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, knowledgeable trainer! 🐾

I had Su Lin train my 2 dogs with behaviors issues especially my older one (Kimi) who barks a lot (at guests who come visit) and can’t go on proper walks. After only 3 sessions of corrective measures, I have seen huge improvement. Kimi is more calmer now and barks less, walks better instead of pulling. I am so happy with the training! Su also took effort to explain to my family members so that we r consistent in the training. Thanks again Su!

We love Kim! We recently rescued a dog from Korea - the poor thing was so anxious and wary (understandably so). She was very difficult on walks and would just hide at home. Kim was wonderful in helping her warm up to us. Over the course of just 3 sessions of Kim’s training, tips, and tricks, she became so much more comfortable and comfortable in our care. We couldn’t be happier with the progress.

Su Lin has been absolutely wonderful with my two small dogs – a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier – and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the very first basic obedience session, Su Lin’s patience stood out. She took time to understand each dog’s temperament and adjusted the pace so that both of them could succeed without ever feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Her calm, positive reinforcement approach made a huge difference – instead of forcing them through drills, she used rewards and clear communication to keep them engaged and eager to learn. What I really appreciated was how encouraging she was, not just with my dogs but with me as an owner. She explained the “why” behind every exercise, demonstrated each step clearly, and then guided me through practising it so I could continue training confidently at home. Even when we struggled with certain behaviours, she never made us feel judged; instead, she broke things down into manageable steps and celebrated every small improvement. Over the course of the basic obedience programme, I’ve seen noticeable changes: better focus, improved leash manners, and a much calmer response to everyday situations. Just as importantly, Su Lin has helped strengthen my bond with both dogs by teaching me how to communicate with them more effectively in a way that’s respectful and kind. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly cares about both dogs and owners, and who believes in a positive, science‑based and compassionate approach, I would highly recommend Su Lin and K9 Kampong.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does K9 Kampong charge?

K9 Kampong is priced in the mid-range bracket, though specific per-session or package rates are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider. In Singapore, dog training costs typically vary depending on the type of programme — group obedience classes, one-to-one behavioural training, and residential board-and-train packages each carry different price points. Breed size, temperament, and the number of sessions required can all affect the total cost. When requesting a quote, ask whether the fee covers a single session or a full course, whether there are add-on charges for specialised behaviour work, and whether transport is included for any mobile component. What vaccinations does K9 Kampong require?

Most professional dog trainers and training facilities in Singapore require dogs to be current on core vaccinations before participating in any programme. For dogs, this typically means DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and rabies, with bordetella (kennel cough) often required for group classes or any boarding component where dogs are in close proximity. Vaccinations are generally expected to have been administered within the past 12 months, and you will usually need to present a vaccination certificate from a registered veterinary clinic at the point of enrolment or drop-off. Contact K9 Kampong directly to confirm their specific vaccination requirements before your first session.

Is K9 Kampong licensed and insured?

K9 Kampong is verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed the provider's operating details and contact channels. However, no regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile, and the business is not recorded as ACRA-registered in the information available. In Singapore, the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under NParks licenses boarding and grooming facilities, but licensing requirements for standalone training services differ — confirm with K9 Kampong directly whether they hold any AVS or other regulatory approvals. Ask about their insurance arrangements and the protocol if your dog is injured or unwell during a session. Visit the facility if possible, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
