When reaching out, be prepared to share your dog's size, breed, and temperament, as these details help the trainer assess the most suitable programme — whether that covers basic obedience, recall, leash manners, or behavioural correction. Vaccination records will likely be required before any session begins. If transport is part of the service you need, clarify pick-up and drop-off logistics, coverage for your area, and whether a recurring schedule can be arranged. A trial visit or initial assessment session is worth requesting so you can gauge how your dog responds to the trainer's approach before committing to a longer programme.
To get started, send a message via WhatsApp or give K9 Training & Transport Services a call to describe your dog's current behaviour, your training goals, and your preferred schedule — this will allow the team to recommend the right programme and confirm availability.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
As our dog is a retired police K9 dog, we initially seeked out a trainer with the sole purpose of getting the mandatory obedience cert. We thought that the sessions would just be about learning commands. However, Su Lin helped us in sooo many more ways than that! I like that she helped us understand our dog’s behaviours, advocate for the dog’s happiness and safety, and tailored each session to what our dog specifically needed with solutions that might work for our space and lifestyle. Su Lin is not one to sugar coat, but she is also very encouraging! She proves that positive reinforcement not only works for dogs but for humans too haha. And most importantly, our dog has improved so much already in a short amount of time! Even tho we’ve gotten our cert already, we are keen to continue working with her ☺️
We had such a great experience with Su Lin! She was super helpful in teaching us how to use positive reinforcement to train our puppy, Kai, especially to reduce his attention-seeking behaviour, which she quickly noticed. As an info junkie who’s done plenty of online research, this was something I’d completely overlooked — but Su Lin picked it up right away, and it’s made such a big difference. As first-time pawrents, we really appreciated her tips since we had zero experience. Kai responded so well, and it was really reassuring to know we’re on the right track. Even after lessons concluded, she’d offer helpful tips and videos. Su Lin is patient, encouraging and always happy to answer our questions. She was also really understanding when we mentioned our furkid’s clinginess to one pawrent. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, knowledgeable trainer! 🐾
I had Su Lin train my 2 dogs with behaviors issues especially my older one (Kimi) who barks a lot (at guests who come visit) and can’t go on proper walks. After only 3 sessions of corrective measures, I have seen huge improvement. Kimi is more calmer now and barks less, walks better instead of pulling. I am so happy with the training! Su also took effort to explain to my family members so that we r consistent in the training. Thanks again Su!
We love Kim! We recently rescued a dog from Korea - the poor thing was so anxious and wary (understandably so). She was very difficult on walks and would just hide at home. Kim was wonderful in helping her warm up to us. Over the course of just 3 sessions of Kim’s training, tips, and tricks, she became so much more comfortable and comfortable in our care. We couldn’t be happier with the progress.
Su Lin has been absolutely wonderful with my two small dogs – a Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier – and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the very first basic obedience session, Su Lin’s patience stood out. She took time to understand each dog’s temperament and adjusted the pace so that both of them could succeed without ever feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Her calm, positive reinforcement approach made a huge difference – instead of forcing them through drills, she used rewards and clear communication to keep them engaged and eager to learn. What I really appreciated was how encouraging she was, not just with my dogs but with me as an owner. She explained the “why” behind every exercise, demonstrated each step clearly, and then guided me through practising it so I could continue training confidently at home. Even when we struggled with certain behaviours, she never made us feel judged; instead, she broke things down into manageable steps and celebrated every small improvement. Over the course of the basic obedience programme, I’ve seen noticeable changes: better focus, improved leash manners, and a much calmer response to everyday situations. Just as importantly, Su Lin has helped strengthen my bond with both dogs by teaching me how to communicate with them more effectively in a way that’s respectful and kind. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly cares about both dogs and owners, and who believes in a positive, science‑based and compassionate approach, I would highly recommend Su Lin and K9 Kampong.

Most reputable pet trainers and transport providers in Singapore require dogs to be up to date on core vaccinations before participation in any session, particularly where multiple animals may be present. For dogs, this typically means DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies, with proof of vaccination issued within the past 12 months. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly required where dogs interact in group settings. Bring your dog's vaccination booklet or a vet-issued certificate when attending the first session. If your dog's vaccinations are overdue, arrange a vet visit before booking to avoid any last-minute delays. Confirm the exact requirements directly with K9 Training & Transport Services when you make your enquiry.
K9 Training & Transport Services is ACRA-registered and has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed the provider's operating details and contact channels. For pet boarding and grooming facilities in Singapore, the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) under NParks issues the relevant operating licences; however, no AVS licence is currently listed for this provider, so if that assurance matters to you — particularly for any transport component — it is worth asking the team directly whether they hold or are in the process of obtaining one. On insurance, ask specifically whether the provider carries coverage for incidents involving your pet during training or transit. Visit the facility or arrange an initial meet before committing, and confirm the vaccination policy and any insurance terms in writing beforehand.
