Most families begin by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to check availability for their expected delivery month. Because confinement nanny demand peaks around popular birth months and experienced nannies are often booked many months in advance, it is advisable to make initial contact as early as the second trimester. During the enquiry stage, KAI Singapore will typically discuss the mother's dietary preferences — including herbal soup traditions and any food restrictions — along with overnight care arrangements, newborn bathing duties, and whether a 28-day or extended 56-day engagement suits the family's circumstances. An interview with the assigned nanny before confirming the booking allows both parties to align on expectations, food style, and daily routines.
To check nanny availability for your confinement period, contact KAI Singapore (KAI Suites) directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form and provide your estimated due date.
Interview the nanny before booking, agree the food and overnight terms in writing.
Stay was comfortable and pleasant as anticipated and the service exemplary. We are happy especially there's a care team looking after baby while mummy rests. Care team are helpful and very willing to help with mummy queries and issues. Food was on point, quality and nice! Able to refine palate according to needs. Had postpartum massage and hair spa service here which is also convenient and relief to mummies who come straight to Kai from hospitals. Nice ambience when you walk into Kai and we hosted baby full month in the venue, guest relation officers were also helpful with setup up and arrangements. Overall very happy to have stayed here.
They say it takes a village to raise a child; for the first month as new parents, KAI was our village. We stayed here in Dec '25, after the birth of our first child. KAI came highly recommended by friends; and during the tour we were immediately sold, booking our slot on the same day. Pregnancy and childbirth was a huge unknown with many variables, and as a result, I really wanted a structured recovery - KAI ticked all the boxes. Before our stay, we were invited to attend an informative prenatal retreat with Ginny from The 4th Trimester - we learned about pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, helpfully condensed into a one day session. During our stay, the factors that won us over from the tour were the same ones we appreciated the most, namely (1) & (2): (1) Rest & recovery for mother: KAI places huge emphasis on this, especially in the first 2 weeks postpartum. We entrusted our baby to the Care Team (comprising hospital-trained nurses) with complete peace of mind that he would be well taken care of. If at any point we wanted to check on him, we could watch him on the baby monitor or walk a few steps to the nursery. This allowed me to focus on rest and recovery - sleeping, eating 6 nutritious meals a day, enjoying herbal baths, free-flow lactation cookies / tea, and incredible postpartum massages. Additionally, they took my temp and BP daily to ensure I didn't develop postpartum complications, something that hadn't crossed my mind but that I deeply appreciated. (2) Support with breastfeeding and caring for baby: The Care Team brought our baby to me every 3 hours for feeding, and provided hands-on support with breastfeeding and pumping. Without their gentle encouragement and judgement-free advice, I wouldn't have survived the first 4 weeks as a new mom. As the weeks went by, they taught us how to breast / bottle feed, burp, swaddle, bathe, change diapers, learn our baby's cues, comfort and put him to sleep - empowering us with the knowledge and confidence to implement a sustainable routine once we got home. Side note: KAI uses high quality products for babies, and we love them so much we now use the same diapers, wipes, shampoo / soap, lotion etc. (3) Access to help / activities & convenience: An added bonus is the TCM consultation every 2 weeks resulting in a specially brewed tea tailored to your needs, a one off visit from a Lactation Consultant, and weekly yoga and craft workshops. KAI is also conveniently located near major hospitals, which made going for follow up doctor's appointments quick and easy. The complimentary pick up from the hospital to KAI, and to/from subsequent doctor's appointments was another thoughtful touch. (4) Exceptional customer service: Last but not least, Mel & the GROs who run the show were warm, friendly, proactive and responsive in catering to our needs, we often wondered how they were able to manage all the parents on the floor yet reply to our texts at the speed of light. They made our stay as stress-free as possible, smoothly coordinating everything from 6x daily meals, consultations, workshops, massages, car rides to external appointments and so on. To summarize, I solely credit KAI for enabling my smooth recovery and setting us up for success at home. I strongly recommend KAI to any parents-to-be: Forget push presents, choosing to stay at KAI will be THE best postpartum gift to yourself.
I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Kai Singapore twice, once in 2021 and again in 2025, for the births of both my children. My positive experience during my first stay made it an easy decision to return, and I’m glad to say that the already high standards have only improved over time. In 2025, I noticed a clear enhancement in service quality and increased nursery manpower, which made a significant difference. The nurses have been consistently wonderful. They are warm, caring, and incredibly supportive of mothers’ individual choices, especially around breastfeeding. I felt genuinely cared for and never pressured, which made my recovery journey much smoother. The Guest Relations Officers are another highlight. They always go the extra mile to make sure mothers are comfortable, and any requests I had were promptly and kindly handled. The food at Kai deserves special mention. Meals were always served warm, delicious, and thoughtfully curated with little to no repetition throughout the stay. I looked forward to every meal! Lastly, the spa team was amazing. Their friendly and attentive service staff really helped with my postpartum recovery. Thank you, Kai, for making both my confinement experiences so smooth, restorative, and special. Highly recommend to any new mothers looking for a supportive and luxurious environment during such a crucial time.
I had a wonderful stay at Kai. The entire experience was restful and completely stress-free — exactly what I needed after delivery. The nurses were incredibly supportive, and I truly attribute my successful breastfeeding journey to their patient, hands-on guidance. The facilities were excellent as well. My room was spacious, luxurious, and very comfortable, which made recovery so much easier. The meals served were delicious and nourishing — every dish felt thoughtfully prepared to support postpartum healing. I also want to highlight the guest relations officers, who made everything seamless and pleasant from the moment I checked in. Their care and attention made the stay feel even more welcoming. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to bond with your newborn and take time to recuperate, this is the perfect choice. I’m truly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend it!
We initially planned to deliver our baby in the US since we already have a well-established healthcare network there. However, we decided to have our baby in Singapore instead so that we could receive more hands-on support during the confinement period - and it was truly the best decision we made. We actually shopped around quite a bit before making our decision and found the entire package at Kai to be the most suitable for our needs. Its convenient location, especially its proximity to Bukit Timah, made a huge difference for us. It was so easy to head home to grab anything we needed, which added an extra layer of comfort and practicality during this period. It was also a short drive for family to visit. At the same time, we really appreciated the extra protection Kai puts in place for babies when it comes to external visitors. The thoughtful safety measures and protocols meant so much to us as first-time parents adjusting to this new chapter, giving us peace of mind while still allowing loved ones to share in our joy. This holistic wellness center provides exceptional postpartum care and has been such a blessing for us. The team genuinely helps you ease into parenthood and makes what could be an overwhelming transition feel smooth, structured, and reassuring. There’s even a comprehensive checklist of parenting essentials they walk you through, which gave us so much confidence in caring for our newborn. A special shout-out to the GROs, Melinda and Ting Hua, who are incredibly attentive and always bring such positive energy into the space. Their warmth makes every day brighter. The nurses work tirelessly around the clock to care for the newborns with such dedication and professionalism. We are especially grateful to the nursing team - Yieng Yieng, Amutha, Judy, Jamie, Nurain, Gaya, Irene, Parmjit, Nur, Sau Wan, Siow Fang, who truly bond with the babies in their care - you can see the genuine love and attentiveness they give each child. The chauffeur service makes pediatrician and OB appointments completely stress-free and seamless, which is such an underrated but invaluable touch during recovery. The massage therapists, Yaya and Bernice have also been amazing in helping me relieve muscle tension from breastfeeding and constantly being in a slouched position - those sessions made a huge difference in my physical recovery. On top of the spa services, I really appreciate having salon services available as well. Being able to have someone wash and blow dry my hair during confinement feels like such a luxury and an extra bonus - it’s the little things that make you feel human and well cared for during this period. Most importantly, this center has given my husband confidence to return to work two weeks after childbirth, knowing that both baby and I are in excellent hands. We are so grateful for the care, support, and warmth we’ve experienced here. Highly recommend to any new parents looking for a nurturing and holistic confinement experience.

KAI Singapore (KAI Suites) uses package-based pricing, though specific figures were not published at the time of listing. As a reference point, the Singapore confinement nanny market typically ranges from S$3,500 to S$6,500 for a standard 28-day engagement, depending on the nanny's experience, whether the package includes food preparation and herbal soups, and the level of overnight care provided. Some providers also offer a 56-day option at a higher total cost. Before confirming any booking, clarify in writing what is included — overnight stays, baby bathing, mother's recovery meals and herbal soups, and any additional charges for premium herbs or specialist dietary requirements. Booking four to six months before your estimated due date is a sound baseline, but popular and well-reviewed nannies at established agencies are often reserved six to twelve months in advance — particularly for births around the Lunar New Year period or the mid-year peak. During the booking process, KAI Singapore will typically arrange an interview with the assigned nanny so you can discuss food preferences (for example, Cantonese-style herbal soups versus a dairy-based diet), overnight care expectations, how the nanny handles newborn feeding support, and any household-specific requests. Agreeing these terms in writing before paying the deposit avoids misunderstandings during the confinement period itself.
Confinement nanny training in Singapore is not formally regulated, though some nannies hold certificates from private confinement training programmes or have accumulated years of documented client experience. KAI Singapore's 4.7/5 rating across 108 Google reviews suggests a track record of satisfactory placements, but it is worth asking directly about any specific certifications or training the assigned nanny holds. On the question of suitability, agency-placed nannies come with a replacement policy that freelance arrangements typically cannot offer. Before signing, confirm the replacement window (usually tied to the first few days of the engagement), the criteria that trigger a replacement, and whether the replacement fee — if any — is absorbed by the agency or charged to the family. Clarify the process clearly in the written agreement.
