We’ve worked with her for about 3 years, and she is the only person I trust 100% with my dogs. Both my dogs are Singapore Specials with anxiety, fears, and reactivity. Candy understands what many pet guardians don’t yet realise: punitive or aversive methods only suppress behaviour - they don’t help dogs feel safer. Her work is grounded in modern behavioural science, consent, and reducing distress, which is especially important for sensitive and misunderstood dogs like ours. Over the years, my dogs have boarded with Candy multiple times while I travelled. Leaving them with her was complete peace of mind. Her updates showed how thoughtfully she plans interactions - even managing transitions between spaces to minimise exposure to triggers and keep the dogs under threshold. One of my dogs is extremely shy of human touch and actively avoids strangers. When he first boarded with Candy, she didn’t force interaction.
