About Kaizen 4 Dogs

About Kaizen 4 Dogs

Kaizen 4 Dogs is a dog training provider operating islandwide across Singapore, based in the Springleaf Garden estate. The listing is KakiList verified and ACRA registered. The service holds a perfect 5/5 rating across 41 Google reviews, a moderate sample that suggests consistent client satisfaction, though prospective clients are encouraged to read individual reviews to assess fit.

When enquiring about training, it helps to share your dog's size, breed, age, and temperament, as well as any specific behavioural concerns you would like addressed — whether that is recall, leash reactivity, aggression, or basic obedience. Up-to-date vaccination records are typically expected before sessions begin. Ask whether the trainer offers an initial assessment session, how training is structured (private one-to-one versus group), and whether sessions take place at your home, in a park, or at the Springleaf Garden estate. If you have a recurring schedule in mind, confirm availability and whether a package or block-booking arrangement applies.

To get started, reach out to Kaizen 4 Dogs via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on this listing. Share your dog's profile and your primary training goals so the trainer can recommend the most suitable programme for your situation.

Honestly, meeting Candy and the Kaizen team has been such a comfort. As a first-time owner with a young rescue pup, I was feeling pretty overwhelmed with things like mouthing, barking, lunging, even a bit of resource guarding. Thanks to Candy's guidance, I’ve grown a lot more confident, and my SS has improved so much — especially with leash walking and learning how to play properly with other dogs. We’re definitely still a work in progress, but what makes Candy so special is that she doesn’t just care for the dogs — she really cares for the owners too. She shares her knowledge with so much patience and understanding, and it means a lot to have that kind of support, especially when things feel tough. I’m really grateful to have found a community like this, and a safe, happy space for my pup when I’m away.

Highly recommend Candy for her positive-reinforcement (R+), science-based, and fear-free approach to training and boarding. We’ve worked with her for about 3 years, and she is the only person I trust 100% with my dogs. Both my dogs are Singapore Specials with anxiety, fears, and reactivity. Candy understands what many pet guardians don’t yet realise: punitive or aversive methods only suppress behaviour - they don’t help dogs feel safer. Her work is grounded in modern behavioural science, consent, and reducing distress, which is especially important for sensitive and misunderstood dogs like ours. Over the years, my dogs have boarded with Candy multiple times while I travelled. Leaving them with her was complete peace of mind. Her updates showed how thoughtfully she plans interactions - even managing transitions between spaces to minimise exposure to triggers and keep the dogs under threshold. One of my dogs is extremely shy of human touch and actively avoids strangers. When he first boarded with Candy, she didn’t force interaction. She let him set the pace, used well-timed rewards, and respected his agency. Over time, he chose to approach her - and eventually started seeking her out for his favourite butt scratches! That alone speaks volumes about her skill and ethics. Candy also supported us through reintegrating my two dogs after a fight. She gave clear, practical advice on space management, arousal control, and short, achievable exercises to rebuild positive associations. What I especially appreciated was how she tailored everything to my reality - my home layout, my emotional bandwidth, and the fact that I was training alone. She helped me redesign my space to create safe management zones and avoid further conflict. A truly good pet professional also cares about the human guardian. Candy does. She encourages, listens, and meets you where you are. When I had to leave one of my dogs behind in Singapore during my relocation, she stepped up to board him, acclimatised him to his travel crate, and handled vet visits for pre-flight checks. His relocation would not have gone nearly as smoothly without her. If you’re looking for a trainer or boarder who is ethical, science-led, and genuinely invested in both dogs and their humans - especially if you have a Singapore Special - Candy is a rare find.

went through the adore program as adopting a ss. candy was very gentle and helpful in guiding our training w our dog. she’s very encouraging in our journey and we felt our dog quickly thrived as the training progresses. her training was also very useful in everyday interactions with the dog as he was gently guided into checking in with us. she’s taught us a lot about his behaviours as well as the reason behind his fears and with that understanding, we can create a better space for his wellbeing. candy’s great, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We are so grateful to have had Candy from Kaizen 4 Dog guide us through the training process with our new puppy. As first-time pet owners, we adopted an 11-week-old Singapore Special and had little experience in caring for or training a puppy. Thanks to Candy's expert guidance and support, we've gained the confidence we needed, and our 20 weeks old puppy is thriving. Candy’s patient and encouraging approach, paired with her knowledge of positive reinforcement training, has made the process smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend Candy and Kaizen 4 Dog to anyone seeking professional, supportive dog training!

Ginger has benefitted SO MUCH from learning and staying at Kaizen, the trainers and staff at Kaizen are so loving and caring of all the dogs' safety and needs. I have learned so much about dog behavior, what signals to look out for to understand why dogs do certain things and what they are telling us with their body language. I'm so grateful to Candy for the very informative training sessions, and so happy that I can always rely on Kaizen for daycare, I know the Ginger is in the best care.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Kaizen 4 Dogs charge?

Kaizen 4 Dogs does not publicly list its session rates, so you will need to enquire directly for a quote. Dog training fees in Singapore typically vary based on session length, whether the format is private one-to-one or group, the dog's size and behavioural profile, and whether travel to your location is involved. Mobile or home-visit sessions generally carry a higher per-session rate than facility-based training. Ask about add-ons such as follow-up support between sessions or written behaviour plans. Confirm whether a package or block-booking discount is available if you intend to book multiple sessions. See the full pet training cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does Kaizen 4 Dogs require?

Most professional dog trainers and training facilities in Singapore require dogs to be current on core vaccinations before participating in any session, particularly where other dogs may be present. For dogs, this typically means DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies, with proof of vaccination issued by a licensed veterinary clinic. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly required where dogs interact in group settings. Vaccination records are generally expected to be dated within the past 12 months. Confirm Kaizen 4 Dogs' specific vaccination requirements when you make your initial enquiry, and bring your dog's vaccination booklet or digital record to the first session.

Is Kaizen 4 Dogs licensed and insured?

Kaizen 4 Dogs is ACRA registered and KakiList verified, confirming it operates as a legitimate business entity in Singapore. The listing does not currently record any AVS (Animal and Veterinary Service) licences — note that AVS licensing is specifically required for boarding and grooming facilities rather than for dog training services, so the absence of a listed AVS licence is not unusual for a training-focused provider. Before your first session, it is reasonable to ask the trainer directly about professional indemnity or liability insurance and what protocol is followed in the unlikely event that a dog is injured during a session. Visit the facility or meet the trainer in person, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance coverage before drop-off.
