About KB Tan Clinic and Laser Surgery Elias Mall
KB Tan Clinic and Laser Surgery is a general practice clinic located at 625 Elias Road, Elias Mall, in the Pasir Ris area. It holds a 3.8-star rating across 35 Google reviews — a moderate sample size, though below the threshold that would indicate a robust consensus. No regulatory licences are listed in the available data, and the clinic is not confirmed on the ACRA business registry, so prospective patients are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration directly before booking.
For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times. A GP consultation covers acute conditions, chronic disease management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP — covering hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, and other listed conditions), repeat prescriptions, and referrals to specialist outpatient clinics where needed. Patients wishing to use MediSave for outpatient chronic disease management should confirm that the clinic is a CDMP-accredited provider, as this determines whether MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits apply. Integrated Shield Plan holders should note that private GP visits are generally a cash-pay item unless the plan includes a GP rider.
To make an appointment or check current waiting times, contact the clinic directly by phone on the number listed on the KakiList profile.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
definitely my fav clinic. both father and son doctors are remarkable with their patients. always caring and detained explanation about how to get better. amazing service as well. quick and efficient service!
Both Doctor Chen and his dad are amazing individuals who takes great length to explain my health condition to me . They manage to diagnose a condition that public hospital missed out on. I’m so grateful to them both. It’s been a relief to finally know what’s wrong with the body and medication can finally be sorted out . They have been reassuring and health screening with them has been a great One. Add on the tests you need if you want to find out the necessary. To buy a peace of mind, you need such meticulous and assuring doctors . Thank you once again!
I have been seeing senior Dr Tan for 20 years, and he has witnessed my children growing up. Dr Tan is very kind and honest, caring for his patients. He never asked us to take unnecessary tests, even once advised me no need to spend money as he saw that all was fine. The consultation fee is also very reasonable. He also refer us to specialist who carries the same value. He is just as what the words in this photo describes, a good and kind doctor. Thank you Dr Tan, we are blessed to have you as my family doctor.
Dr Chen was very detailed in his assessment for my Domestic Helper and took time to explain her condition and demonstrated how to go about managing the condition. The consultation was very well done and the cost was extremely reasonable. Thank you, Dr Chen!
Don't know it is due to past bad reviews, the counter staff seemed to be okay, in fact polite during my visit. Dr Chen is as friendly and warm as his dad. I even learnt two things from him today. Patient and willing to take time to share. One star down cos I think overall fee is a bit ex, not sure is it bcos I long time never visit private doctor and this is the current price tag?

GP consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits often at the lower end of that range. Investigations billed on top of the consultation include blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, and X-rays (S$80–150) where clinically indicated. Prescriptions are dispensed at the point of service and charged separately. GST applies on private medical services. For planned procedures — including any laser or minor surgical services the clinic offers — request a written cost estimate in advance that itemises the procedure fee, consumables, and any follow-up review. MediSave withdrawal under the CDMP (S$500–700/year for listed chronic conditions) may offset part of the bill for eligible patients. See the full GP and 24-hour clinic cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licences are recorded in the current listing data for KB Tan Clinic and Laser Surgery Elias Mall. Every legitimate clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Patients are strongly advised to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking, particularly for any laser or minor surgical procedure. Neither confirmation alone is sufficient — both should be checked independently.
Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover standard GP outpatient visits unless the plan includes a specific GP or outpatient rider — check your policy schedule before assuming coverage. MediSave can be used for outpatient chronic disease management under the CDMP (S$500/year standard, S$700/year for selected conditions) provided the clinic is a registered CDMP provider; confirm this with the clinic directly. For any laser or minor surgical procedure, request a pre-treatment financial counselling session and a written itemised estimate that splits any insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill. Contact the clinic by phone to ask about accepted payment methods and MediSave eligibility before your visit.
