About Kindred Family Clinic Tampines

About Kindred Family Clinic Tampines

Kindred Family Clinic Tampines is a general practice clinic located at 494 Tampines Street 45, #01-02, serving patients across Singapore. It has been verified by KakiList as an operating practice. The clinic holds a Google rating of 3.7 out of 5 across 66 reviews, which represents a moderate sample size, though the rating sits below the typical 4.0 threshold for a strong endorsement.

Patients seeking a GP consultation can reach the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online contact form. For straightforward conditions — minor illnesses, repeat prescriptions, and health screening — walk-in or same-day appointments are the norm at most GP practices. Where a condition requires a specialist, the clinic can issue a referral letter for a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC), which reduces the specialist consultation fee for Singapore Citizens to roughly S$30–80, though non-urgent waits typically run four to twelve weeks. Private specialist referrals can also be arranged for patients who prefer a shorter wait at S$120–250 for a first consultation. MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, and asthma, within the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limits. Integrated Shield Plan holders should confirm whether outpatient GP visits are claimable under their specific plan and rider.

To make an appointment or check current waiting times, contact Kindred Family Clinic Tampines directly via WhatsApp or phone before visiting.

The counter staff is reactive. I stepped in, no one asked me if I need any help. They continue talking among themselves. I told the lady that this is my 1st visit. She said IC pls. I showed her my sing pass. She asked questions for information that already on singpass app. I showed her the information on my singpass. She said oh. After doctor's consultation I waited for my medication. The earlier patient has collected her medicine, paid and left the clinic. I wait for my turn but both still chatting away. I asked if my medication is ready then they paused and check the system. The whole process from registration to discharge is very reactive. The 2 ladies are keen to enjoy their work time chatting.

This is my second time to this clinic. My experience was already positive from the 1st time(i.e. based on doctor’s explanation regarding my blood pressure) Today was better and great, as it solved my left ear wax blockage. Overall, the staff and doctor were friendly and patience . Thru their proper care, I now feel much better and hear a lot better too. Thank you Kindred Family!!

Closing hours is 8.30pm, i reached 7.50pm but the clinic assistant said closed already rudely. I think even if your Monday is tiring, you should not be treating patients with rudeness. Down with flu and bodyaches and this attitude is absolutely not needed. Clinic needs to advise their front desk assistants on attittude. This is not the first time. If you want to close at 7pm, then put the timing as 7pm. Dont make someone to travel all the way there and you claimed close just because you have covered the quota for the day.

Dr Wong was really nice and patient as well. Go there quite often with my family, really nice and familiar, sometimes cracks jokes as well. Highly recommend!

Recently, I consulted Dr. Wong for my baby's fever. He is excellent with babies and incredibly patient. He didn't rush through the appointment but instead took the time to ensure that I felt confident about the next steps in my baby's treatment. Moreover, the convenience of the clinic's opening hours was a big plus. I visited the clinic on a weekday evening, and there was no waiting queue. Highly recommend

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Kindred Family Clinic Tampines charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, with the exact fee varying by visit complexity, investigations ordered, and whether medications are dispensed. Common add-ons include blood panels (S$60–200), X-rays (S$80–150), urine tests, and prescription costs — these are billed separately from the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. For CHAS-enrolled patients, subsidised fees apply at participating GP clinics — confirm with the clinic whether they are a CHAS-accredited practice before visiting, as this significantly affects out-of-pocket costs for Singapore Citizens and PRs. MediSave can be used for CDMP-covered chronic conditions within the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limit. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is Kindred Family Clinic Tampines MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are listed in this provider's KakiList profile. Before attending, independently confirm that the clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence (issued under the Healthcare Services Act) — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor should appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm their registration status and any disciplinary history. The Google rating of 3.7 out of 5 across 66 reviews provides a moderate signal on patient experience, though it is below the 4.0 threshold typically associated with consistently positive feedback. Verify both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — neither alone is sufficient.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Kindred Family Clinic Tampines?

MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, selected mental health conditions, and others, within the S$500 (general) or S$700 (CDMP) annual withdrawal limits. Separate limits of S$200–600 apply for outpatient cancer treatment and kidney dialysis. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP visits, though some plans and riders extend cover to outpatient specialist consultations. Confirm your plan's specific terms with your insurer before expecting reimbursement. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions — skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
