About King George Medical Clinic

About King George Medical Clinic

King George Medical Clinic is a general practice clinic located at 803 King George's Avenue, #01-144, serving patients across Singapore. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 3.9/5 rating across 28 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides some directional confidence. No ACRA registration or MOH Healthcare Services Licence has been confirmed in the listing data, so prospective patients are advised to verify these directly with the clinic before attending.

For a standard GP visit, patients can expect to walk in or book ahead via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form. A typical consultation covers symptom assessment, examination, medication dispensing, and a referral letter to a specialist or polyclinic if required. Consultation fees at private GP clinics in Singapore generally run S$25–60 per visit, with additional charges for investigations such as blood tests, swabs, or X-rays. Patients with Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP)-listed conditions — including hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol — may be able to use MediSave under the CDMP outpatient withdrawal limits where the clinic is an approved CDMP provider; confirm this directly.

Contact King George Medical Clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the website enquiry form to confirm current consultation hours, walk-in availability, and whether the clinic participates in CDMP or any Integrated Shield Plan panels before attending.

I had a great experience at Healthway Medical. The nurse on duty was super attentive, demonstrating genuine care and professionalism throughout my visit. They always provide reassurance and make me feel comfortable made a world of difference. The doctor was also very remarkable, showing immense patience and taking the time to listen carefully to all my concerns. They explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and well-informed at every step of my care. I truly appreciate the level of service I received, and I highly recommend their services!

Dr Gong is a very nice and meticulous doctor. I can feel her sincerity and compassion while she was treating my sickness. The staff from this clinic are friendly and approachable.

Shocked at how aloof dr Edwin Goh was. Charged me $42.5 for lousy lozenges of 10 tablets and his fee. I told him I took current medication and he refused to even check cos he can’t read Japanese! A well studied doctor would know the type of medication or at least try to find out. He then on his torch ti see my throat for 1 sec. The nurse said next time just hi pharmacy is better. I asked him whether I have Covid he said go check yourself. I asked him when should I stop taking my fever med and he said when it falls below 37.5. 37.5 is still feverish! What sort of a set is that. Never asked me any question just wanted me to get out of his room asap. When I saw his face I knew I was doomed for a bad experience and it was indeed as such . Not a single patient was there.. I think everyone knows how lousy he is and no one went..

Both Dr Gong and Dr Loong are professional and caring GPs. They are supported by an equally considerate and friendly team led by Stella. My husband and I have been cared for by them for more than 10years. As a first point of contact for medical issues, they are widely and deeply knowledgeable. Waiting times can be a little long as the GPs take time to treat each person, you are not a number at this clinic. You are a cared for patient.

Very nice and friendly doctor and staff. Treatment is very professional and understanding of small local infections (e.g. for rashes) and bigger health issues. The doctors are very knowledgeable and always strike a nice conversation during their treatment. Excellent quality for money! My clinic of choice as long as I stay in Lavender.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does King George Medical Clinic charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with the final amount depending on the complexity of the consultation, any medications dispensed, and any investigations ordered. Common add-ons include blood tests (S$60–200 depending on panel), urine tests, wound dressing, and specialist referral letters. For planned investigations or procedures, ask for an itemised estimate upfront that separates the consultation fee, diagnostic costs, and medication. GST applies on private medical services. If your Integrated Shield Plan or a polyclinic referral is relevant to your visit, confirm whether King George Medical Clinic is on your insurer's panel before attending. Is King George Medical Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration has been confirmed in the listing data for King George Medical Clinic. Before attending, verify both: the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence on the MOH licensee directory (hsa.gov.sg or moh.gov.sg), and the consulting doctor's SMC registration at smc.gov.sg — search by the doctor's name to confirm active registration status and any specialist accreditation. For a GP setting, basic SMC registration (as a fully registered medical practitioner) is the mandatory credential. If you have a complex or chronic condition, also confirm whether the doctor holds relevant postgraduate qualifications and whether the clinic is an approved CDMP provider for MediSave outpatient withdrawal.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at King George Medical Clinic?

For standard outpatient GP visits, MediSave is generally not claimable unless the clinic is an approved Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) provider — in which case you can withdraw up to S$500 per year (or S$700 under CDMP) for consultations covering listed chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and high cholesterol. Confirm CDMP participation directly with the clinic before your visit. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP visits, though some plans include GP outpatient riders — check your plan documents. For any planned procedure or referral, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving facility that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before committing. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
