Dr. Zhang Qi responded by suggesting that I could “go buy $5 dressing at the pharmacy instead,” which was delivered in a manner that felt dismissive. He also mentioned that to perform the assessment, the dressing must be done (which cost $70) I believe patients and parents are entitled to a clear and respectful explanation of the medical assessment and treatment plan. The tone and phrasing used during the consultation left me feeling uncomfortable and undervalued as a parent seeking care for my child. Additionally, Dr. Zhang mentioned that he was acting according to what his “bosses have asked him to do.” I found this response concerning, as it suggests that clinical decisions may be influenced by non-medical directives rather than professional judgment or patient-centered care. Very bad experience with Dr Zhang Qi, who is very impatient and chased us out in 3 minutes after we waited 30+mins for him to see 2 patients. He was shaking his leg like nobody's business and just asked us to bring our child to the emergency department without specifics. Very bad attitude... When my wife went in again to ask which hospital to go to, he practically just chased her out.
