About Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang

Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang is a general practice clinic located at 455 Sengkang West Avenue, serving residents in Sengkang and the surrounding north-east region of Singapore. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 4.4/5 rating across 114 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides reasonable confidence in the rating. A standard consultation covers history-taking, examination, and prescription where indicated; investigations such as blood panels, urine tests, or referral letters for specialist care can be requested at the same visit. Patients with chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme — including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, and selected others — may be able to draw on MediSave 700 outpatient withdrawal limits. Those holding Integrated Shield Plans should note that routine GP visits are generally not claimable under IP hospitalisations cover, though some riders extend outpatient benefits.

Lousiest clinic with terrible queue system. They only prioritize the LPA elderly, didn’t consider of their sick patients at all. I reached at 8.20am and was told that there is 1 hour queue. At 10.15am, I am still waiting for my turn. The assistant keeps using the excuse that some patients had appointments beforehand but that was non-sense. A few patients that queued behind me were told that the waiting time was 2 hours, yet they had their checks done and left the clinic before 9.30am! If you are sick, go to other clinics nearby instead! L

Ever heard of a clinic who tells a sick patient "I have no choice i cannot take you in"? Clinic closes at 9pm, told them I will reach 840pm - they said that their last registration is 830pm and they can't wait. I told them I am very sick and I am already on the way, will rush over. but they refuse to even wait for 10 minutes for a sick patient. Tell me to come tomorrow or go somewhere else when I already mentioned I am rushing over. Worse clinic ever

Kingsway Clinic has always been my first choice among clinics due to their reasonable pricing and reliable service. However, my recent visit left me quite disappointed. I went to the doctor for a specific issue, expecting to get the necessary medications. Initially, my bill was over $60, even after I had already declined some medications I didn’t need because I still had them at home. I then rejected four more items and only took two medications, but the bill still came up to over $50. I was shocked by how little the cost dropped, despite significantly cutting down the number of medications. I understand that medical costs have gone up, but I hope the clinic can be more transparent with their pricing but the medicine can cost almost $6 per pill… Did check the pricing of chronic medicine is 2x compare to other clinic

My daughter visited the clinic with the sore throat on August 27th and received medication, but symptoms worsened the next day with fever persistence and red spots on her lips. A second visit on August 28th doctor diagnosis a herpangina, which is contagious.Due to her role as a trainee kindergarten and concerned about infecting children , she followed doctor advice and visit clinic for follow-up. - My daughter saw the doctor four times over nine days, 27/8,28/8,1/9,4/9 with costs adding up to $180.90 -$68.50, $25.90, $51.50,$35. - I appreciate the doctor diligence in managing my daughter 's condition. While follow-ups are important, I feel the frequency of visits and associated costs could be a consideration for patients managing expenses. It will be good if with sense of typical illness duration and provide appropriate sick leave guidance without necessitating multiple paid visits. Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang charge?

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits often at the lower end of that range. On top of the consultation fee, expect to pay separately for any investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine test S$15–40, swab S$30–80), prescriptions, and medical certificates. GST applies on private medical services. Patients eligible under CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme) — Singapore Citizens and PRs holding orange or blue CHAS cards, or Pioneer and Merdeka Generation cardholders — can claim subsidised rates at participating GP clinics, which significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs. Confirm directly with Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang whether it is a CHAS-accredited clinic and what subsidies apply to your card tier. For any planned consultation or investigation, request an itemised breakdown so you know the insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Is Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm their registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang has not yet provided its licence details to KakiList. Before booking, take two minutes to search the MOH licensee directory by clinic name and the SMC register by the attending doctor's name. Both checks are free and publicly accessible. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry — neither alone is sufficient.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Kingsway Medical Clinic Sengkang?

For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — up to S$700 per year — for consultations and approved medication related to listed conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions. Standard acute visits (coughs, colds, infections) are not MediSave-claimable under normal outpatient rules. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient and day-surgery episodes, not routine GP consultations — check your specific rider for any outpatient extension. CHAS subsidies apply at point of payment if the clinic is accredited and you present your CHAS card. For any investigation or procedure that may generate a significant bill, ask the clinic for a written fee estimate upfront and confirm which portions are payable by MediSave, insurance, or out-of-pocket before proceeding.
