About Learners' Lodge
Learners' Lodge is a private tuition provider serving families across Singapore. It holds KakiList verified status and is registered with ACRA, and it carries a 4.9-star rating across 202 Google reviews — a robust sample that suggests consistent satisfaction among students and parents. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific per-session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
When enquiring about tuition, it helps to share your child's current level, the subject or syllabus in question (MOE, IB, IGCSE, or otherwise), and any particular exam targets or learning gaps you have in mind. Learners' Lodge can then advise on whether group or one-to-one sessions would be the better fit, how the lessons are structured, and what term commitment is expected. Their centre is located at 8B Jln Masjid, Kingston Terrace, though it is worth confirming whether home-based or online arrangements are also available for your area. You can reach the team via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on their listing.
The most direct next step is to contact Learners' Lodge through WhatsApp or the enquiry form, state your child's level and subject needs, and ask about a trial class before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Considering the fact that I never studied economics in JC, had zero prior knowledge of the subject, and only joined Learners’ Lodge with 6 months left to the exam, I think I can confidently say that Mr Phay is indeed a very wonderful teacher. I picked up the subject quickly under his mentorship, and I enjoyed each and every single one of his lessons as they were nothing short of fun and interesting.
Helloo Mr Yeo thank you for teaching me for the past one and a half years. I really appreciate all the hard work you have put into your teaching!! Your summary notes, the tips that you give, all shows the dedication that you put into your work. 😆 But beyond that, I really really enjoy the enthusiasm in the lessons that you give us. The tiny stories that you tell, about your life, and other little things. The jokes that you make 😂, really help to make the lesson that much more enjoyable and less stressful. So thank you for being such a caring and hardworking teacher!! 🙏🏻😝
Mr Gilbert Lee is a dedicated and passionate teacher who manages to get the best out of his students. His extensive knowledge of the A level Econs syllabus over many years of teaching has greatly helped to improve my grades, as well as inculcate a genuine appreciation for the subject! Strong class materials and friendly non-teaching staff at the centre makes attending class something to look forward to each week! Thanks LL!
Thank you Mr Gilbert Lee for supporting me in my academic journey for H2 Econs and allowing me to eventually do well for the ‘A’ Levels! I still remember in J1 when I was unable to understand anything during the school lectures and that was why I decided to come to tuition. The notes and explanations by Mr Lee really helped me to understand what was required for the syllabus and how to improve my essays. Thank you also for the constant encouragement also that motivated me to continue to work hard for Economics even though I was not scoring too well in school. Most importantly, attending Mr Lee’s lessons was inspiring and eye-opening as he applied Economics to real life stories and would often share his opinions with us which was what I enjoyed most about the lessons and made me look forward to attending them. Thank you Mr Lee for the past 2 years!
Hi Mr Phay, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for restoring hope and confidence in my econs. For the short period of time I’ve been in your class for, i benefitted greatly, with your humour and your passion making every class one i look forward to. It has been such a joy attending your lessons, and im sure we are all truly grateful for that. have a great one! Hi Mr Yeo, I would really like to take this opportunity to thank you for being such a great teacher. Ever since i joined you last year, physics had stopped stopped being a subject a dreaded, and it had become one that one that i truly enjoy doing. Your thoroughness, your effort, and your passion is definitely felt and appreciated by all of us. Your piece of advice, “don’t be mediocre” is one i hold close, which is what inspires me to constantly better myself. Have a great one! melvin

Learners' Lodge displays a mid-range pricing tier, but specific per-session rates, monthly package fees, and term commitments are not publicly listed and will need to be confirmed directly with the provider. When enquiring, ask whether there is a separate trial class fee, whether materials or assessment worksheets are charged on top of tuition, and whether sibling or multi-subject discounts apply. Some tuition providers charge a one-time registration fee as well. See the full Private Tutors cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition providers in Singapore offer a trial class at a reduced fee or at the standard session rate before requiring a term commitment. It is worth asking Learners' Lodge explicitly whether a standalone trial is available and what it covers. During a trial, pay attention to how the tutor explains concepts, whether the pace and level match your child's current standing, and how your child responds to the teaching style. A good fit in all three areas is a stronger indicator than credentials alone. If the trial feels misaligned — either too advanced or insufficiently challenging — raise that with the tutor before signing up for a full term.
Tutor qualifications are not listed publicly for Learners' Lodge. When you make initial contact, it is reasonable to ask about each tutor's educational background, whether they hold a degree in the relevant subject, and whether they have prior MOE school experience or NIE training. Also worth clarifying is which syllabuses the tutors are familiar with — MOE PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IB, IGCSE, or others — and how long they have been teaching at this level. Years of hands-on experience with a specific syllabus often matters more than formal qualifications alone. If a particular tutor is assigned to your child, ask to be introduced before the first session so you can confirm the fit.
If Learners' Lodge isn't the right fit, these are other private tutors providers on KakiList worth shortlisting. All are independently listed — no affiliate fees, no "featured" sponsorships.
