About Learners Lodge
Learners Lodge is a tuition centre serving families across Singapore, operating from its Bishan location at Blk 256 Bishan Street 22. It holds KakiList verified status and is registered with ACRA. Families typically begin by enquiring about the centre's suitability for their child's level and syllabus — whether that is the MOE primary or secondary curriculum, or another examination framework. It is worth asking whether group tuition or one-to-one sessions are available, as the right format depends on the child's learning style and how much individual attention is needed. Before committing to a term, parents are encouraged to ask about a trial class, confirm the session schedule, and clarify the centre's policy on make-up lessons should a session be missed.
To take the next step, reach out to Learners Lodge via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's level, arrange a trial class, and confirm term fees and the session timetable before enrolment.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Considering the fact that I never studied economics in JC, had zero prior knowledge of the subject, and only joined Learners’ Lodge with 6 months left to the exam, I think I can confidently say that Mr Phay is indeed a very wonderful teacher. I picked up the subject quickly under his mentorship, and I enjoyed each and every single one of his lessons as they were nothing short of fun and interesting.
Helloo Mr Yeo thank you for teaching me for the past one and a half years. I really appreciate all the hard work you have put into your teaching!! Your summary notes, the tips that you give, all shows the dedication that you put into your work. 😆 But beyond that, I really really enjoy the enthusiasm in the lessons that you give us. The tiny stories that you tell, about your life, and other little things. The jokes that you make 😂, really help to make the lesson that much more enjoyable and less stressful. So thank you for being such a caring and hardworking teacher!! 🙏🏻😝
Mr Gilbert Lee is a dedicated and passionate teacher who manages to get the best out of his students. His extensive knowledge of the A level Econs syllabus over many years of teaching has greatly helped to improve my grades, as well as inculcate a genuine appreciation for the subject! Strong class materials and friendly non-teaching staff at the centre makes attending class something to look forward to each week! Thanks LL!
Thank you Mr Gilbert Lee for supporting me in my academic journey for H2 Econs and allowing me to eventually do well for the ‘A’ Levels! I still remember in J1 when I was unable to understand anything during the school lectures and that was why I decided to come to tuition. The notes and explanations by Mr Lee really helped me to understand what was required for the syllabus and how to improve my essays. Thank you also for the constant encouragement also that motivated me to continue to work hard for Economics even though I was not scoring too well in school. Most importantly, attending Mr Lee’s lessons was inspiring and eye-opening as he applied Economics to real life stories and would often share his opinions with us which was what I enjoyed most about the lessons and made me look forward to attending them. Thank you Mr Lee for the past 2 years!
Hi Mr Phay, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for restoring hope and confidence in my econs. For the short period of time I’ve been in your class for, i benefitted greatly, with your humour and your passion making every class one i look forward to. It has been such a joy attending your lessons, and im sure we are all truly grateful for that. have a great one! Hi Mr Yeo, I would really like to take this opportunity to thank you for being such a great teacher. Ever since i joined you last year, physics had stopped stopped being a subject a dreaded, and it had become one that one that i truly enjoy doing. Your thoroughness, your effort, and your passion is definitely felt and appreciated by all of us. Your piece of advice, “don’t be mediocre” is one i hold close, which is what inspires me to constantly better myself. Have a great one! melvin

Tuition centres in Singapore typically structure fees as a monthly package covering a fixed number of sessions per term, rather than a strict per-session rate. The actual cost depends on the subject, the student's level, and whether sessions are in a group setting or one-to-one — group tuition generally runs lower per head than individual coaching. It is worth asking whether there is a separate registration or materials fee, and whether a trial class is available at a reduced or standard rate before you commit to a full term. Some centres offer sibling discounts or early-term payment incentives. See the full tuition centre cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres offer a trial class so that parents and students can assess the environment before signing up for a term. During a trial, it is useful to observe how the tutor explains concepts, whether the pace suits your child's current understanding, and how engaged the student is by the end of the session. If a trial is available at Learners Lodge, confirm whether it is charged at the standard session rate or offered at a reduced fee. Use the session to check that the syllabus coverage aligns with your child's school curriculum and that the class size allows for adequate individual attention. Contact Learners Lodge directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask about current trial class arrangements.
Tutor qualifications vary across tuition centres and can range from NIE-trained former MOE school teachers to degree holders with subject-specific expertise and several years of private teaching experience. Relevant factors to ask about include the tutor's academic background in the subject, familiarity with the current MOE syllabus or the examination board your child is sitting for, and how long they have been teaching that level. As Learners Lodge has not published specific tutor profiles in the listing data available, it is recommended that you ask directly — via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form — about the qualifications and experience of the tutor who would be assigned to your child's class. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
