About Little Cookhouse

About Little Cookhouse

Little Cookhouse is a Singapore-based culinary education provider offering holiday camps, operating from its centre at 58 Joo Chiat Place and accepting island-wide enrolments. It is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channel. It holds a 5/5 rating across 24 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that suggests consistently positive participant experiences, though prospective families should continue to gather first-hand feedback.

Families interested in a holiday camp place would typically begin by enquiring about available session dates that align with the school holiday calendar, the age range catered to, and whether the curriculum suits a child's prior cooking experience or learning goals. Little Cookhouse can be contacted via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form. It is worth confirming whether camps run as small groups or larger cohorts, what the participant-to-instructor ratio is, how many days or sessions a camp spans, and what ingredients or equipment, if any, participants are expected to bring. Parents should also check the cancellation and make-up policy before committing.

To take the next step, send a WhatsApp message or complete the enquiry form on the listing page to ask about upcoming holiday camp dates, age groups, and session availability.

This is my second time sending my kids to the Little Cookhouse. My kids had fun. The place is cozy. The instructions were clear. The results were amazing :). I can't believe they successfully constructed the watermelon cat cake! Will definitely enroll again next year!

A very innovative way of education. The teacher is well prepared with a coherent teaching concept. A small reading before baking, then hands-on practice. Kids are occupied during 1.5 hours. I've been living in Australia for a while and hoping that I can find a similar teaching concept in Singapore. The little cookhouse is able to beautifully delivered the concept. My girl had travelled the world, and tried other places but she totally enjoyed the activity here. She was the first to arrive, the last to leave, and saying she wants to come back.

With clear demonstration and simple step-by-step instructions, I could see my child learning the basics of baking while also enjoying the session. Truly appreciate the teachers reminding parents that the product does not need to be perfect, and instead to give the child their own space to figure out and take ownership of their work. Looking forward to future sessions from Little Cookhouse!

My daughter had an absolutely wonderful time at the kids' baking class! The teacher was so warm, patient, friendly and engaging, making sure each child felt involved and excited about the process. The class was very well-organized. The best part? They came home with delicious treats that we all enjoyed! Highly recommend this class for any young aspiring bakers!

Really great experience for both kids and adults to learn about sustainability. We especially like the process of harvesting our own pandan leaves and making it into pancakes. Staffs are also patient, friendly and attentive to our needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Little Cookhouse charge per session?

Little Cookhouse is listed at a mid-range price point ($$), though specific per-session or per-camp fees are not publicly displayed and should be confirmed directly with the provider. Holiday camp pricing in Singapore typically varies by duration (half-day vs full-day), number of sessions in a camp block, and materials included. Ask whether the quoted fee covers all ingredients and any take-home items, whether a sibling discount or early-bird rate applies, and whether there is a separate registration fee. Some providers also charge a non-refundable deposit to secure a place. See the full Holiday Camps cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

It is worth asking Little Cookhouse directly whether a single trial or drop-in session is available before committing to a full camp block. For culinary holiday camps, a trial session lets you assess whether the pace, recipes, and teaching style suit your child's age and interest level. Pay attention to how the instructor manages the group, whether safety protocols around knives and heat are clearly communicated, and whether your child leaves feeling engaged rather than overwhelmed. If a standalone trial is not offered, enquire whether a one-day camp option exists as a lower-commitment entry point before booking a multi-day programme.

What are the instructors' credentials at Little Cookhouse?

Specific instructor qualifications are not listed in the provider's public profile. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about the culinary or education background of the instructors, how many years they have been running children's cooking programmes, and whether they hold any relevant food hygiene or safety certifications — such as the WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate issued by the Singapore Food Agency. For holiday camps aimed at younger children especially, also ask about the adult-to-child ratio during hands-on cooking activities, and what safety measures are in place when participants use kitchen equipment. These details matter as much as formal credentials when assessing fit.
