About Maternity Angels

About Maternity Angels

Maternity Angels is a confinement food catering service operating islandwide from its premises at 76 Playfair Road. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a 4.6-star rating across 42 Google reviews, which represents a moderate sample size.

Families typically begin by enquiring about package options — the standard 28-day delivery covers lunch and dinner (two trays per day), with some providers offering an optional breakfast tray. It is worth confirming which dietary tradition the kitchen follows — Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, Western postnatal, halal, or vegetarian — and whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and confinement tonics are bundled into the package price or billed separately. Delivery is typically twice daily (around 11am–1pm for lunch and 5pm–7pm for dinner), with meals prepared and dispatched within a four-hour window to preserve freshness. Packaging should be BPA-free and microwave-safe. Before committing to a full package, ask whether a single-day trial meal is available — confinement appetite varies considerably, and personal taste is the most reliable guide.

To get started, contact Maternity Angels via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm package options, delivery slots for your due date, and availability of a trial meal before paying any deposit.

Tried maternity angels for the first time. Had won this from Supermom so I'm really blessed to be able to try it out and give this review. Taste of the food is healthy, delicious and fresh. Not oily at all. Love the variety of rice and dishes. It really gives a balanced nutrition. Quantity is just nice if you are a big eater. I had enough to share some with my husband. Love the desserts and appetisers too. The soups are specially boiled with quality herbs and meat and are wholesome, warming and aid in lactation. I like it that they embrace sustainability. Food comes in metal containers, soup and drinks in tumblers, and all came in a warmer bag, which is really good for the environment. :) Food is delivered not too early as well, with windows from 11am to 12.30pm for lunch and 5 to 6.30pm for dinner. Food still arrives warm without need for heating up. Maternity Angels even gave an electric lunchbox for free for warming up food (not really needed for now as their food comes warm already). Only downside I'd say is the price which is quite premium. Give it a try if you can afford it!

Maternity Angels team responds very quickly. I sent an enquiry past 11pm on their website and I was surprised I got a response within minutes! They were able to do a very auick arrangement for my meals within a day. I am writing this review after my 2 weeks confinement meal plan. The daily delivery was very prompt and the courier were always courteous and waits for me because sometimes I am nursing my baby when they arrive. I love the reusable containers as I love to be sustainable, this is definitely a huge thing that made me decide to go with this company compared to other confinement meal companies out there. My milk supply in increased I think partly because of the confinement meals so thank you for that, I'm grateful! The portions are generous and I can tell the food were prepared with love as they are well-packed and prepared. I'm satisfied with the meals and enjoy the desserts during lunch as well. The food warmer is also a great idea and the food is always fresh and I feel very full after each meal!

Tried their trial meal, lunch and dinner, their food is super delicious and it’s one of the best confinement food i have tried. I definitely won’t get bored eating their everyday because they have a huge range of menu with 150 different dishes. Wish i have found out about them earlier. I would have order it for my confinement. Each dish is packed in reusable container and even comes with an electric steamer to help you keep them warm! My favourite dish for lunch is the Ao Broth Papaya Fish Soup because i see an increase in my breastmilk supply after drinking it (increased by 30ml). The black vinegar pork trotter is awesome too! Very flavourful and the meat is soft. For dinner i really liked their Japanese Tonteki Pork and Mediterranean Pesto Chicken Thigh.

My hubby and I decided to give Maternity Angels confinement meal a taste test for both lunch and dinner since we have heard a lot of good reviews! Firstly, their lunch menu includes traditional sesame chicken, braised pork trotters with black ginger, steam threadfin fish with mushroom & sliced ginger, stir fried asparagus with ginger, broth papaya fish soup and tri-color rice are definitely rich in flavor and well-balanced meal! Lastly, as for their dinner menu that includes wide variety of fusion-mixed such as Mediterranean pesto chicken thigh, Japanese tonteki pork, grilled miso cod, maple glazed vegetables, linguine aglio olio, and tomato soup are super delicious! Overall the ingredients used in all dishes are very fresh and premium as well. We will definitely 100% sign up their catering service!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Maternity Angels charge for a confinement food package?

Maternity Angels uses package-based pricing. Across the Singapore market, 28-day confinement food packages typically range from S$1,200 to S$2,800 depending on the number of trays per day, whether herbal soups and tonics are included, and the dietary tradition followed. Shorter 7-day or 14-day options are sometimes available as a trial or for partial coverage. Confirm whether the quoted price covers two trays daily (lunch and dinner) or three (with breakfast added), and whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and confinement tonics are bundled or billed on top. Ask about any delivery surcharge for landed or non-central addresses. See the full confinement food cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary tradition does Maternity Angels follow, and is there a trial meal?

Singapore confinement food traditions include Cantonese (the most common — warming herbal soups, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine), Hokkien, Teochew, Western-style postnatal, halal, and vegetarian. Confirm which tradition Maternity Angels' kitchen follows, whether the daily menu rotates or repeats weekly, and whether dishes can be adjusted for breastfeeding mothers who prefer low-spice or alcohol-free options. Most reputable caterers offer a single-day or trial meal at around S$30–60. It is strongly advisable to book a trial before paying the package deposit, as confinement appetite shifts daily and personal taste matters more than menu descriptions.

Is Maternity Angels licensed and how is food safety handled?

Licensed confinement food operations hold an SFA Food Shop Licence or Catering Licence with a hygiene grade — A is highest, followed by B, C, and D. Halal-certified providers additionally hold a MUIS certificate, which should appear on packaging and be verifiable on the MUIS directory. As no regulatory licences are currently listed for Maternity Angels on KakiList, confirm directly whether the SFA licence is held and ask for the hygiene grade. Confinement meals should be cooked the same day and delivered hot in microwave-safe, BPA-free containers within roughly a four-hour window. Confirm the twice-daily delivery time slots, packaging type, and the substitute or refund policy in the event of a missed delivery before paying any deposit.
