The clinic holds a 3.2/5 rating across 40 Google reviews — a moderate sample size, though the below-average score warrants attention before booking. As a GP clinic, May Medical Clinic and Surgery would typically handle walk-in consultations for acute illness, minor injuries, chronic disease follow-up, vaccinations, and referral letters to specialist outpatient clinics. Patients with Integrated Shield Plans or those wishing to use MediSave under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia should confirm whether the clinic participates in the relevant schemes before attending. For planned specialist referrals, a GP referral letter from this clinic can direct patients to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic at subsidised rates, or to a private specialist directly.

My whole family have been seeing Dr May for years. She is a responsible doctor. She take charge of her patients and ensure the right prescription given. She listens and always attentive.
Don't bother coming to this clinic. They relocated their clinic from Queenstown to Holland Drive area. Other than that nothing about them has changed. I am not surprised by the majority negative feedback they received here. Old lady doctor. Good luck if you are thinking of having a MC issued to you here.
Avoid this clinic. An old female doctor. Very unwilling to issue MC. If you know this clinic you would have known that long time ago they used to be located at Queens town area. Back when I was still working for corporate company , I visited this. When doctor found out that I'm using company's card for subsidies, her attitude totally changed. Asked me what medicine I had at home and to take my existing medications instead. Anyone with similar (genuine of course) experience, feel free to share it here.
Came in with knee and back pain. Doc was very patient with her diagnosis and suggested different follow-up procedures based on the different med support system/package I am on, eg HealthySG, CHAS, CSC, insurance policy, etc. Doc did not come across as hurried or crass, as indicated by some other reviewers.
This clinic was recommended by my sister. Very friendly and unhurried. She took the time to build rapport. Counter staff were patient with us during the check in process. Those 1-star reviews are unwarranted. It seems like lots of elderly folks visit this clinic. Will definitely be my go to clinic from now.

No regulatory licences have been confirmed in this listing for May Medical Clinic and Surgery. Every legitimate clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. Patients should verify both the clinic premises licence on the MOH directory and the named consulting doctor's SMC entry before attending. Neither alone is sufficient, and the absence of confirmed licences in this listing means independent verification is particularly important here.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to each plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. GP consultations are typically not covered by IPs but may be claimable under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) via MediSave, up to S$500/year for general outpatient or S$700/year for CDMP-listed chronic conditions, if the clinic is a CDMP-participating provider — confirm this directly with the clinic before attending. For any planned procedure referred from this clinic, request a financial counselling session at the receiving hospital or specialist clinic. Ask for a written estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket costs before any deposit is paid. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
