Hmmm, I don’t know where the good reviews are coming from—probably from candidates whose profiles were already strong and just needed a little bit of guidance. I completed my undergraduate degree at an average school and worked at an average company. I wanted to switch careers and thought about pursuing an MBA to help with that. I paid for their services, and during the initial consultation, they painted a vision of me getting into top schools like Cambridge and Oxford, saying that my high GPA was competitive despite my non-prestigious university and average work experience. However, after I paid, I went through some of their processes—like self-discovery, résumé preparation, and interview coaching—and quickly realized they were actually hiring freelancers from different countries. Each consultation only lasted a couple of hours, and probably because these freelancers weren’t paid much, some of them just went through the motions and didn’t really help me. When I went back to the consultant who initially sold me the service, she started suggesting online MBA courses, which was honestly a joke. Overall, it was absolutely not worth the price—I could have just gotten the same information and guidance from the internet or friends. After such a bad experience with my MBA application, I talked to a friend who suggested a more promising and suitable path. I eventually received an offer from NUS and successfully switched my career to tech—none of which had anything to do with what I learned from MBA Link coaching.
