About Merry Bees
Merry Bees is a wedding services provider operating islandwide from its Geylang office. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channels. With a 5/5 rating across 249 Google reviews, it carries one of the more robust public feedback samples in the local wedding sector. Pricing sits in the mid-range ($$) and is structured around packages rather than à la carte.
Enquiring couples typically start by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form with their event date, venue, and approximate headcount. From there, the discussion moves to scope — whether you need photography, videography, floral, décor, planning coordination, or a combination — along with theme and style preferences. Lead time for popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November can run 6–12 months, so early contact is advisable. Couples should confirm the deposit amount on signing (typically 30–50%), the balance payment schedule, exact deliverables and coverage hours, travel charges for venues outside the central region, and what contingency applies if a date needs to shift. For ROM solemnisations alongside a banquet, dialect-group customs (Hokkien, Teochew, Cantonese gatecrash games) and any multi-vendor coordination should be discussed at the first consultation.
To take the next step, contact Merry Bees via WhatsApp or the enquiry form with your wedding date, venue, and a brief outline of services needed — bringing that information to the first conversation will help them provide an accurate package quote promptly.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
Thank you, Merry Bees, for making our ROM party so memorable! Gabrielle made everything effortless from start to finish, helping us find the perfect band and even accommodating our song requests. John, Ywenna, and the team were incredible, we only wish we had more time to just sit and enjoy their amazing music! We can’t recommend them highly enough.
John Lye was our Emcee & musician & Singer. His aura filled the place with his energy. A place was filled with fun and laughters. He is friendly and very easy to talk to. We loved how flexible he was with the song requests and played them accordingly. It absolutely made it special to us to feel the love from friends and family. Thank you John Lye & Merrybees.
Recently engaged ShiLi & Adi for my wedding and they were an absolute hit! My wife first witnessed them at a relative's wedding and she was amazed by their talent. She casually mentioned them (or did she? haha) in our convos leading up to our big day so I decided to look them up. Least to say I was impressed by their performances and track record. And it was certainly a bonus that this duo is multilingual and representative of different cultures. We decided to engage them without hesitation as performers and emcees. We had a pleasant engagement through the staff at Merry Bees. The information and planning process was clear and comprehensible. They were also flexible with our requests. I was also grateful for Adi's inputs during our online meet, which made certain events on our big day seem just so much better than what I had originally planned. On the wedding day itself ShiLi and Adi wow'ed the crowd with their performances. Their experience definitely shows as they weave between singing, playing instruments and emceeing flawlessly. I particularly loved how they engaged they crowd and as mentioned earlier, a big plus is their ability to speak in Bahasa/Mandarin making our event inclusive and familiar to all attending. At the end I managed to speak a little with ShiLi and thanked her. I would like to extend this gratitude to the team and once again to ShiLi and Adi for making the event truly memorable ❤️
I held my wedding at Concorde Hotel Singapore on 10th May 2025, and engaging Jay as our emcee was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made for the occasion. As the majority of our guests were Mandarin-speaking, it was important for us to find someone who could communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin. Jay met this requirement perfectly and exceeded our expectations in every way. With his extensive experience, professionalism, and natural stage presence, he effortlessly captivated and engaged our guests, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the event. Weddings can be incredibly overwhelming, and having a dependable and confident emcee like Jay made all the difference. He managed the flow of the wedding seamlessly and allowed us to focus on fully enjoying our special day. It was a pleasure working with Jay, and I would highly recommend Jay to anyone who is looking for a skilled, bilingual emcee who can bring warmth, energy, and professionalism to your wedding. Thank you once again, Jay. I am happy to be able to meet you. We hope your enjoyed our wedding.
I've known ShiLi and Adi for over a decade, even before Merry Bees was established. I always hoped they would be my wedding singers, and now, not only did they perform at my wedding, but they also served as our emcees! All my guests were full of praise for their singing and emceeing. Some even asked for their contact information! Thank you for making my wedding so enjoyable and lively. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for wedding singers and emcee services!

Merry Bees prices its wedding services as packages rather than individual line items, which is standard in the Singapore wedding industry. As a mid-range ($$) provider, typical reference points for the sector are: full-day wedding photography S$2,500–6,000+, full-day videography S$3,000–8,000+, full wedding planning (excluding venue and F&B) S$5,000–25,000+, and floral or décor installations S$300–1,500 per element. The exact quote will depend on scope, number of coverage hours, deliverables, and venue location. When reviewing a package, confirm what is itemised: the deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing), the balance due date (usually 1–2 weeks before the event), the number of edited photos or final video runtime, turnaround timeline for deliverables, travel surcharge for venues outside the central region, and GST. For weddings, 6–12 months ahead is the standard lead time for in-demand photographers, videographers, planners, and décor specialists. Peak Saturdays in March, April, October, and November fill earliest — some popular providers are fully booked a year or more in advance for those dates. If your date is firm, securing the vendor with a written contract and deposit as soon as possible is advisable. For smaller wedding-adjacent events — ROM solemnisations, tea ceremonies, or bridal shower celebrations — 6–12 weeks is usually sufficient, though popular weekday ROM slots in busy months can still run tight. Confirm whether your date is held provisionally during the discussion period or only secured once the deposit clears, and ask about the rescheduling policy if a public-health restriction or other force-majeure event requires a date change.
The Singapore wedding industry standard is a 30–50% deposit on contract signing to secure the date. This deposit typically covers the date hold and any pre-event planning hours, design consultations, or site recce visits included in the package. The balance is usually due 1–2 weeks before the wedding day. Deposits are generally non-refundable if you cancel, though many providers will allow transfer to a future date within a defined window. Confirm the exact cancellation and rescheduling terms in writing before signing — specifically what triggers a forfeiture and whether a force-majeure clause applies for venue closures or public-health restrictions. Also ask about public liability insurance, particularly if any portion of the setup (décor, balloon installations, floral arches) is at an HDB void deck, condo function room, or hotel venue that may require a copy of the insurance certificate before permitting setup.
