About Minmed Clinic Boon Lay

About Minmed Clinic Boon Lay

Minmed Clinic Boon Lay is a general practice clinic located at 221 Boon Lay Place, serving residents and workers in the Boon Lay and Jurong West area. It holds a 4.4-star rating across 169 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides a reasonable indication of patient experience. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$) on a per-visit basis, consistent with private GP consultation norms in Singapore.

For most patients, the journey begins with a walk-in visit or a prior enquiry via WhatsApp, phone, or the online contact form. As a general practice, the clinic handles acute illness, chronic disease management, minor injuries, vaccinations, and health screening. Patients managing long-term conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for qualifying outpatient treatment. Integrated Shield Plan holders should check whether their insurer reimburses private GP visits under their outpatient rider. For conditions requiring specialist input, the clinic can issue a referral letter — a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic typically reduces the first consultation fee to S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens, compared with S$120–250 at a private specialist.

To book an appointment or confirm current consultation hours, contact Minmed Clinic Boon Lay directly via WhatsApp or phone before visiting, particularly if you require a specific service such as health screening or travel vaccination.

Waited 40 minutes for a scheduled ultrasound appointment with no staff at the counter the entire time. No updates, no apologies, nothing. If you enjoy wasting your time, by all means choose Minmed. Otherwise, go somewhere that actually respects patients’ appointments.

This was my first time visiting Minmed Clinic (Boon Lay) for my Singapore PR medical check-up. I was assisted by Elina, who was extremely helpful and provided clear information and guidance throughout the process. She was very professional, patient, and passionate in her service, and she followed up closely to ensure everything went smoothly. Overall, I had an unexpectedly great experience and I truly appreciate the excellent service from the clinic. Highly recommended.

Do not go to this clinic, my mum, an elderly woman in her late 50s whom was suffering from a foot wart came to this clinic to see the doctor, clearly the medicine was not working and she needed more rest, the doctor however, threatened to black-list her because of her prior records of seeing the doctor for the same condition. This is unacceptable and unprofessional as a doctor, can the doctor feel her pain? Can the doctor feel her suffering? Do you think it’s a joke that she needed to see the doctor? I cannot believe this. Do not waste your time here, you are better off going elsewhere.

Is Minmed Clinic Boon Lay MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration appears in the listing data for Minmed Clinic Boon Lay. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory — and every practising doctor must appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. Before your visit, search the clinic name on the MOH licensee directory and search the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register. Both steps take under two minutes and are the standard due-diligence checks for any private clinic in Singapore. The absence of licence data in this listing does not mean the clinic is unlicensed — it means the information has not been confirmed here, so you should verify directly.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Minmed Clinic Boon Lay?

MediSave can be used at approved private GP clinics for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), with a withdrawal limit of S$500/year for general outpatient use and S$700/year for CDMP-listed conditions (hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, COPD, stroke, selected mental health conditions, and others). Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-approved provider before your visit if you intend to claim. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life may cover private specialist consultations and planned procedures subject to deductibles, co-insurance, and rider terms, but outpatient GP visits are typically covered only if your plan includes an outpatient rider. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic that itemises the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portion before committing — this is the most reliable way to avoid unexpected bills.
