About Minmed Clinic JEM

About Minmed Clinic JEM

Minmed Clinic JEM is a general practice clinic located at JEM shopping mall in Jurong Gateway, serving residents and workers across the Jurong Lake District and the wider west side of Singapore. KakiList has verified operating details and contact channels. The clinic holds a 3.9/5 rating across 623 Google reviews, which is a robust sample and provides a meaningful indication of patient experience, though ratings at this level suggest some inconsistency worth investigating before booking. No regulatory licences have been submitted to this listing, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed — both should be verified directly with the clinic.

For a first visit, walk-ins are typical at GP clinics, though calling ahead or booking via the clinic's WhatsApp or online form can reduce waiting time, particularly during peak morning and post-work hours. The consultation will cover your presenting complaint, a physical examination where relevant, and a treatment plan that may include prescriptions, a referral letter to a specialist or public hospital outpatient clinic, or a medical certificate. Investigations such as blood tests, urine tests, and basic health screening panels are commonly available on-site. Patients with chronic conditions covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, and asthma — may be able to use MediSave for eligible outpatient expenses up to the S$700 annual withdrawal limit under CDMP.

Contact Minmed Clinic JEM by WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm current opening hours, CHAS and panel insurance acceptance, and same-day appointment availability before making the trip.

Despite booking my appointment at least a week in advance for a morning slot, I was informed at the last minute that my session had been moved to the afternoon. This was already inconvenient, but I accepted the change and arrived at 2:00 PM, which was both the clinic’s stated opening time and my scheduled appointment time. Upon arrival, I discovered that several other patients had also been given the same 2:00 PM timeslot, which resulted in an excessive waiting time. I was eventually seen 1 hour and 15 minutes later, despite having arrived punctually. If the clinic was aware of the high volume of patients, I should have been assigned a 3:00 PM appointment instead of being grouped with multiple others at the same time. Additionally, the queue system on the app was highly confusing and misleading. My queue number kept shifting from 4 to 5 to 6 to 8, and yet, the final number I was given manually at the clinic was 23. This inconsistency reflects a serious lack of coordination and transparency. The room display system was also unclear. The queue screen only showed doctor names and a nursing counter, without corresponding room numbers. Meanwhile, the physical rooms were labelled only by numbers with no doctor names on the doors, causing confusion for new patients who are unsure where to go. Overall, while the staff were patient, calm, and apologetic, the underlying issue lies in the poor administration and disorganization within the clinic’s operations. The experience reflects a lack of proper management oversight, queue planning, and patient flow control. For a healthcare facility, such inefficiencies significantly impact patient confidence and comfort.

I am writing to share my recent experience during my visit to your clinic today. Firstly, I would like to express my concern regarding the interaction with the receptionist. I felt that the communication could have been more welcoming and patient-focused. As I was feeling quite unwell at the time, I would have appreciated a more understanding and supportive tone, especially when I asked follow-up questions for clarification. Secondly, I felt that my consultation with the doctor was rather brief. I was given limited time to explain my symptoms, and I left feeling uncertain about my diet, recovery process, and next steps. I would have appreciated clearer guidance and the opportunity to ask additional questions. I chose your clinic based on a positive recommendation from a friend who had previously experienced attentive and caring service. Unfortunately, my experience today did not meet those expectations. I hope you will consider this feedback constructively, as I believe effective communication and patient care are essential to maintaining a positive healthcare experience. Thank you for your time and attention.

I visited this clinic early morning, I felt that a little more empathy would have made a big difference. When patients come in, they are usually unwell and already feeling vulnerable. A warmer tone and more understanding from the doctor would help patients feel more at ease. The clinic staff could also be more welcoming. A friendly gesture or simple smile goes a long way, especially when someone is sick and seeking care. I hope the clinic can consider improving the overall patient experience, as kindness and empathy are just as important as medical treatment.

Would give 0 star if possible. i am the next in queue at the front counter. One lady was on the phone so I didnt want to stress her. Waited for the patient infront of me to finish registration with the other counter lady, but when its my turn, was informed that they stop the queue. Didnt inform earlier and let a sick patient stand and wait? At least have the decency to inform earlier or flip the sign board to let me know the queue has closed. But no, they decide to let me wait till its my turn to register and said “ oh so sorry we are closed “ . Didnt want to negotiate much as I’m unwell and decide to head to other clinic as soon as possible to seek treatment. Very bad service from MinMed

I had a traumatising experience with Minmed. I have been a regular customer having my annual health check up with Minmed. So I trusted all is good with Minmed. It was my first visit to Minmed at Jurong East branch. At the registration counter, I was asked to show the IC and then a queue no. was given to me. No question was asked with regards to drug allergy. So I thought Minmed must have records of my drug allergy since my information is in their database. I was given Naproxen Sodium. Went back home, took my lunch and popped in 2 pills. What happened almost immediately, was my left eye began to swell.. so badly I could hardly open my eye. Then the right eye followed. My throat started to itch so badly that I feared that my throat was starting to get constricted which would result in breathing difficulty. Went to Google Naproxen Sodium and it belonged to NSAID medication that I am allergic to. Called the clinic and was told there was no record of my drug allergy. Isn't it a standard procedure to ask patient if there is any drug allergy, especially so if it is a first time patient visiting the clinic? Medication allergy is a serious matter that can result in serious complications that any person in the medical field would know. I received a nonchalant reply without any apology or whatsoever. It was just a "come back for a review, if feeling shortness of breath, go emergency". So it was on me to deal with the aftermath (pay extra medical fees) due to clinic not checking and prescribing the right medication. I went to the clinic feeling terrible and sick, but came out worse, having to deal with a drug allergy on top of it. This is a serious lapse in Minmed management and please look into this matter to prevent further occurrence. I would not want any other patients to have to experience what I went through.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Minmed Clinic JEM charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with Minmed Clinic JEM priced in the moderate range (indicated by the '$$' price display). On top of the consultation fee, expect additional charges for investigations such as blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, swabs, or basic X-rays if performed on-site, as well as prescription medications dispensed at the clinic. Patients holding CHAS cards (Community Health Assist Scheme) may be eligible for subsidised consultation and medication costs if the clinic is a CHAS-participating GP — confirm this before your visit. MediSave can be used for outpatient chronic disease management under the CDMP (up to S$700/year) and for selected health screening items. GST applies on private medical consultations. For any planned procedure or investigation, ask for an estimated cost breakdown in advance. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is Minmed Clinic JEM MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences have been submitted to this KakiList listing for Minmed Clinic JEM. Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — you can verify this on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg by searching for the clinic's registered name or address. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by the consulting doctor's name to confirm active registration and any specialist accreditation. Minmed is a recognised GP chain with multiple outlets across Singapore, which suggests institutional compliance, but you should independently confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — particularly for children, elderly patients, or anyone with complex medical needs. The absence of licence data in this listing does not necessarily mean the clinic is unlicensed, but it does mean the due diligence falls to you. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Minmed Clinic JEM?

For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for eligible conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, stroke, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, with a withdrawal limit of S$700 per year. Standard GP consultations for acute conditions (coughs, colds, injuries) are generally not MediSave-claimable at the outpatient level unless bundled with an approved chronic condition visit. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover hospitalisation and day surgery rather than GP outpatient visits, though some IP riders include a GP or specialist outpatient rider — check your policy documents or call your insurer before the appointment. CHAS subsidies are available for Singaporeans and PRs at CHAS-registered GP clinics; confirm whether Minmed Clinic JEM participates in CHAS Orange or CHAS Blue before visiting, as the subsidy quantum differs by card tier and condition type. Bring your NRIC and relevant insurance or CHAS cards to your appointment.
