About Minmed Clinic Northpoint City

About Minmed Clinic Northpoint City

Minmed Clinic Northpoint City is a general practice clinic located at Northpoint City in Yishun, offering GP services to patients across the north of Singapore and beyond. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channels. The Google rating stands at 3.4 out of 5 across 378 reviews — a robust sample that reflects a mixed range of patient experiences and is worth reading carefully before booking.

For most patients, the first step is a walk-in or booked consultation for acute illness, chronic disease follow-up, vaccinations, or health screening. At a GP clinic, the doctor will take a presenting history, examine where relevant, and advise on investigations, prescriptions, or onward specialist referral. Patients with ongoing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol may access the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$500–700 per year for outpatient management of listed conditions. For planned investigations or referrals to specialists, the clinic can issue a referral letter to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic, which reduces the cost of a first consultation to roughly S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens via the subsidised pathway — though waiting times for non-urgent appointments are typically four to twelve weeks.

To make an appointment or check current waiting times, contact Minmed Clinic Northpoint City directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form before visiting.

10nov, 1410hrs. The counter officer (guy) has terrible attitude! Ask him about making appointment for flu jab and the app was hanged. He told me try again. Give me a blank face on any query i asked. Told him it's my 3rd attempt, tel me try 'another time'. What another time?! Bad service!

First time bringing my daugther to this clinic because she got a sudden headache which kept her crying. Understand that there were patient who made early appointment after work but we were just told to wait until those who made appointment are cleared until i have no choice but to ask the nurse to check with the doctor after waiting for 1.5 hrs if she could see her. The reply i got was that will depend on the doctor. The nurse has no empathy at all. Worse experience ever. I cancelled my queue and bring my daugther to other client after 15 mins. Note: we were not told at all of the estimate waiting time when we register. No medical protocol at all. Walk-in patients who arrive on time are being made to wait while patients who are late for their appointments are seen first. This feels unfair and disrespectful to those waiting. The system really needs to be reviewed." Anyway, last time with minmed. 16th Dec. Time: 1930hrs

This is my panel clinic, and despite reading many negative reviews, my experience today was actually quite good. The staff were friendly and patient. The AIA app showed the clinic as closed, but when I called to double-check, the staff kindly verified their operating status and confirmed my eligibility before I made the trip. I saw a locum doctor who was nice as well. The only issue was that the queue numbers weren’t in sequence, and walk-ins had to wait while late appointment holders were prioritized. It would be fairer if latecomers waited their turn. Other than that, everything was okay.

I was there at the clinic on 30Jan2026 2pm. The nurse (did not get her name) at the counter was alone, but super efficient and professional. I really appreciate her service a lot. It was pretty crowded, but she has everything in control, and ensure everyone get the right level of attention. Thanks!

The room where patients' parameters (weight, height etc.) were taken looks untidy, cramped and unwelcoming. Looks like a make shift store room. For an important establishment like healthcare clinic, such a disorganized sight is quite disappointing...

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Minmed Clinic Northpoint City charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with the final figure depending on the presenting condition, duration, and any investigations or treatments administered. Common add-ons billed separately include prescriptions, vaccinations (S$30–80 depending on the vaccine), blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, and wound dressings. GST applies on private medical services. For planned procedures or specialist referrals, request a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance coverage, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions clearly. Is Minmed Clinic Northpoint City MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration appears in the data provided for this listing. Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Before booking, search the clinic name on the MOH licensee directory and the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register directly. Neither licence should be taken on trust — both registers are publicly accessible and the search takes under two minutes.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Minmed Clinic Northpoint City?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to deductibles, co-insurance, and rider terms — GP visits are usually not IP-claimable unless part of a hospitalisation episode. MediSave can be withdrawn for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$500 per year (or S$700 for the listed conditions under CDMP). Separate limits of S$200–600 apply for outpatient cancer treatment and dialysis. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate itemising the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. CHAS Blue, Orange, and Green cardholders should present their cards at registration to access subsidised consultation and medication fees. Skipping the pre-authorisation step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
