Went for my shingles injection appointment at Minmed Sengkang last Friday 30 Jan at 12pm. Was impressed by the friendly assistant who attended to my appointment efficiently without fuss, notwithstanding this being my first visit to the clinic. Waited for 5 minutes and was given the injection by Dr Emily. Found her to be very professional, friendly and assuring throughout the entire process, which was a breeze with minimal pain and I was able to recover in quick time. Overall a pleasant experience from registration through the injection and administration. Will not hesitate to recommend the clinic to friends and others.

Didn’t have a pleasant experience today. Firstly the attending doctor, a young chap, sounded impatient and didn’t feel a tiny bit friendliest toward my 4 years old son. There are tons of carton boxes along the walkway, that same doctor came out and when he return to the room, he knocked onto those boxes because my son was standing at the walkway. He was obviously not happy about it and he actually told me to wait outside. This is the first time I was chased out from a clinic by a doctor. Instead of vetting on the patient, shouldn’t the clinic look into those carton boxes blocking the already narrow walkway, not sure if that even comply to the fire code. Then I waited for the longest time to collect the medicine and was told that the MC and receipt will be emailed to me. I verified my email and Hp number to the staff before leaving. Reached home and didn’t receive any email. For the past many years, I have always receive my MC or receipt from this clinic, not sure what was changed now. So I called back the clinic, found out that my email and Hp was not updated in the system. Just checked, they resend the MC but not the receipt.

Extremely poor triage process experienced during our first and only visit. I am beyond disappointed with the lack of coordination and professional judgment at this clinic. We brought my 2-year-old daughter here on a Saturday evening (7:30 PM) with a lacerated toe and nail injury. The staff assured us the doctor could handle the dressing and placed us in a queue for nearly two hours. After waiting until past 9:00 PM, the doctor finally saw us, only to say he couldn’t treat it and that we needed to go to the hospital. If the staff had simply assessed the injury or consulted the doctor when we arrived, we could have gone straight to the A&E. Instead, we didn’t reach the hospital until 10:00 PM. Wasting 2.5 hours of precious time for a toddler in pain is unacceptable. This caused a massive delay in her getting the hospital treatment she actually needed. For a medical facility to have such a breakdown in communication between the front desk and the doctor is dangerous. Truly a waste of time and a very upsetting experience for my family. Avoid this clinic if you can.

There’s a clear reason why this outlet keeps receiving poor reviews about its front counter staff. There's no real effort to fix it beyond the usual automated replies to email and call a customer hotline. Dr Sng whom I saw today was helpful, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Without naming the individual, it was obvious that when help was needed, the priority seemed to be getting back to using the phone rather than assisting a patient. Very quick to brush off questions with “I don’t know” “I’m not sure”. 0 attempt to check with a colleague or offer any help. Frustrating lack of basic care and attentiveness. If someone has no interest in doing this job or helping patients, then they simply should not be working at the front counter of a healthcare facility. Don't waste the doctors' collective effort.
