About Mutts & Mittens (Cats)

About Mutts & Mittens (Cats)

Mutts & Mittens (Cats) is a cat boarding provider operating from 412A Joo Chiat Road (Levels 2 and 3), Singapore 427637, and is listed as KakiList verified. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 across 68 reviews, which represents a moderate sample size. The service is priced at the mid-range tier ($$) and is available to clients islandwide.

When enquiring about a boarding stay, it is worth sharing your cat's breed, size, age, and temperament, as some cats settle better in quieter environments or require special handling. Bring along your cat's vaccination records — FVRCP coverage is the standard requirement for cat boarding, and proof is typically checked at drop-off. If your cat has not stayed away from home before, ask whether a short trial visit is possible so both your cat and the staff can assess compatibility. Discuss feeding schedules, any dietary requirements or medication needs, and how often updates will be provided during the stay.

To take the next step, reach out to Mutts & Mittens (Cats) via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm availability for your intended dates, ask about vaccination requirements, and arrange a visit to the premises before your cat's first stay.

My cat - Xiaohua is a timid one, easily frightened by strangers. The caretakers at this cattery are really attentive and they took great care of my cat. A few days of stay, my cat already feels safe and comfy enough to interact with the caretakers. The caretakers are amazing! Highly recommended 👍

This is a very late post however I cannot recommend Mutts & Mittens highly enough! Our cat Tumi was 10 months old on his first stay and he’s boarded with them another time since, and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. The staff is incredibly affectionate, treating him with so much love and care. They went above and beyond to make sure Tumi felt comfortable and at home, which gave me such peace of mind while traveling. I was also able to watch him on the CCTV anytime I wanted. What impressed me the most was how informative Catherine, the branch manager and the main caretaker Ye Aung were throughout both of his stays. They provided regular daily updates, sharing how he was doing, sending me pictures/videos of how much he ate, bowel movements and playtime with Tumi! It was clear they genuinely care about the well-being of every cat in their care. The facility is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed for feline comfort. During Tumi’s first stay end of November 2024, it took him three days to get used to the environment which Catherine told us to expect ahead of time is normal since it was his first time boarding. After that he seemed relaxed and happy. When dropped him off again over the NYE period he remembered the environment and warmed up quickly eating and having no bowl movements same day. He also needed his anal gland cleaned and medication applied daily, they were super helpful doing it every day for him and sending photos. It’s healed up so well. They also have this insect toy he is obsessed with. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, loving, and professional place for your cat, I definitely trust Mutts & Mittens. We will be boarding Tumi again in March. Thank you to the amazing team for taking such great care of him and I also appreciate the after care follow. -Gigi Wang

Very friendly staff! The staff love the cats there and are dedicated to taking care of them. The price per night for cat boarding is extremely reasonable when taking into account: 1. Large room 2. 24hrs CCTV access 3. Included playtime 4. Prompt staff-owner communication and daily media updates 5. Accommodation to requests 6. No add-ons, which means no extra charges 7. Bed, scratchpost, and hammock are all provided 8. Revenue from their Cat Boarding service helps support their cat rescue efforts Unlike other Cat Boarding places, which have extremely small rooms, no CCTV access, extra charges for media updates, extra charges for scratchboard, and etc. Mutts & Mittens is EXTREMELY WORTH IT. Had a wonderful experience interacting with the staff there throughout my cat's stay. I'm sure my cat enjoyed his stay there! Will definitely book eith them again in the future. 100/10

Highly recommended. First time boarding of my BSH at Mutts and Mittens Joo Chiat and will return. The place is very clean, 24 hours CCTV accessible via app and the staff genuinely love cats. My BSH threw tantrums and refused to eat much for the first few days. This was swiftly reported to me and they weigh the amount of food given and how much he ate. Toilet habits were also reported daily. There were also daily interactions with my cat. The details of care and communications were exemplary. Thanks M&M Joo Chiat for taking such good care of my brat.

Very friendly staff. Boarded my 2 cats here. Everyone there adored the cats. The main person in charge will update me daily about the cats and provide extra guidance on how to care for the cats, such as their diet and so on when i ask. Even after i bring the cays home, she will still check on the cats and provide me advice when i ask. I am updated daily on the cats' pee and poop situation and how much they eat. I am also given videos daily of their playtime. I am also given a video link where i can see the cats anytime i want. Transitioning the cars back to home was easy too. Will definitely board the cats there again!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mutts & Mittens (Cats) charge?

Mutts & Mittens (Cats) is priced at the mid-range tier, though specific nightly or per-visit rates are not publicly listed — contact them directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form for a current quote. Cat boarding in Singapore typically varies based on the type of accommodation (shared cattery, individual suite, or free-roam space), the duration of the stay, and any add-ons such as grooming, medication administration, or additional play sessions. When requesting a quote, confirm whether the rate is per cat or per room, whether weekend and public holiday surcharges apply, and whether transport or islandwide pick-up and drop-off incurs an additional fee. What vaccinations does Mutts & Mittens (Cats) require?

For cat boarding, the standard vaccination requirement is FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia), which protects against the most common and contagious feline illnesses. Most boarding providers in Singapore require that vaccinations be current, typically administered within the preceding 12 months, and proof in the form of a vaccination certificate from a licensed veterinary clinic is usually requested at drop-off. If your cat is overdue for vaccination or has a health condition that affects its vaccination schedule, speak to your vet before booking. Contact Mutts & Mittens (Cats) directly to confirm their exact vaccination policy, including whether any additional health checks or parasite treatments are required prior to the stay.

Is Mutts & Mittens (Cats) licensed and insured?

Cat boarding facilities in Singapore that operate commercially are expected to hold a licence from the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board. A valid AVS licence indicates the premises have met animal welfare and facility standards set by the regulator. No AVS licence is currently listed for Mutts & Mittens (Cats) on the KakiList directory — verify this directly with the provider and, if needed, cross-check with AVS before your cat's first stay. On the matter of insurance, ask the provider what their protocol is if your cat becomes unwell, is injured, or requires emergency veterinary attention during boarding. Understanding their process and whether any liability coverage is in place will help you make an informed decision. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
