For a first visit to a GP, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check waiting times. A general consultation covers presenting symptoms, clinical examination, and prescription where indicated. GPs in Singapore also serve as the gateway for polyclinic-equivalent referrals to public hospital specialist outpatient clinics (SOC), where a referral letter can reduce the cost of a first specialist consult for Singapore Citizens to S$30–80 with a wait of four to twelve weeks. For chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders, GP clinics accredited under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) allow patients to use MediSave to offset outpatient treatment costs within the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limits. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm whether this clinic is on their insurer's panel for cashless billing.

Doctor is knowledgeable and listen with attentiveness and care. I am able to share privacy with him like a family doctor ...Who genuinely has the best interest and welfare for you. The downside is I encounter the front end counter staff who doesn't address u as a person and ask me to close glass door without saying please, this makes me annoyed
Expensive experience. Had high fever and sleepy. Doctor ordered influenza test… neg…. Without sharing it’s optional. asked to do covid test… rejected because I know it’s optional. and only to prescribe Panadol… beware of unethical services to drive up consultation fees. Visit at your own risk… Hope you stay healthy and avoid this clinic
I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this clinic’s doctor. From the moment I entered the clinic, I felt that I was not being treated with the care or respect I expected as a patient. The doctor was rude, dismissive, and did not take the time to listen to my concerns or explain my treatment options. I left the appointment feeling more confused and frustrated than when I arrived. It's disheartening to encounter such unprofessional behavior in a healthcare setting, especially when you're seeking help. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone seeking compassionate and attentive care.
This is my 3rd time visiting this clinic friendly Doctor and Staff to communicate plus they accept CDC vouchers.👍
Went to my family clinic yesterday and Doctor Au is a friendly doctor. However, it made me upset when my name was called to take medicine and make payment at the counter. The lady counter staff ( not the same one who done the registration and did a swab test for me), the lady staff didn’t explain everything to me based on what she handed to me, because during registration I heard another lady staff did explain to another patient, of course I will expect the same explanation, so I asked her a question to clarify. Surprisedly, I just asked her a question and her reply was so rude and impatience. Due to her bad manner has successfully made a patient even more upset and I have no more energy to clarify with her. After that, I asked her whether can use online banking to pay the consultation fee and I repeated twice for her because she was doing something with her computer, then her reply was very loud and rude, after that she sounded aggressively to ask me questions about the payment and asked me to respond. (=.=) To be frank, I don’t owe her a living and I paid to get such treatment? AND, how can a counter staff expect a sick person talk louder than her. If I can speak louder than her, I no need to stand in front of her at the counter. Since she has no sense of providing professional customer service to all the patients and she is not even respect a sick person, it’s time to review herself and improve her customer service skill before working at the counter.

GP consultations at private and GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits often at the lower end of that range. On top of the consultation fee, expect to pay separately for any investigations ordered — a basic blood panel is typically S$60–200, a urine test S$10–30, and a chest X-ray S$80–150 if referred. Prescribed medications are billed at cost plus a dispensing margin. GST applies on private medical services. For Singapore Citizens and PRs enrolled in CHAS (Community Health Assist Scheme), GP visits at participating clinics attract subsidies of S$14.50–S$80 per consultation depending on the CHAS tier and condition treated. Confirm whether My Family Clinic Anchorvale participates in CHAS and your relevant tier before attending. For any planned investigation or procedure, request a written cost estimate that itemises the consultation, investigation, and prescription portions. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. No MOH licence has been confirmed in the data currently available for My Family Clinic Anchorvale, so patients are advised to check the MOH licensee directory directly before booking. Every practising doctor must also be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status and whether any disciplinary action has been taken. Confirm both the clinic licence and the consulting doctor's SMC entry before your visit. Neither alone is sufficient assurance. If you are unable to locate the clinic on the MOH directory or the doctor on the SMC register, contact the clinic directly to request their licence number and the consulting doctor's full name before proceeding.
MediSave can be used at GP clinics accredited under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for outpatient management of listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, COPD, stroke, schizophrenia, and others — up to S$500 per year under the MediSave 500 limit, or S$700 per year for a wider chronic-condition list. Confirm whether My Family Clinic Anchorvale holds CDMP accreditation before assuming MediSave can be applied. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) generally cover inpatient and day-surgery episodes rather than routine outpatient GP visits, though some plans include GP-panel cashless billing. Check your insurer's panel list and your plan's outpatient rider terms before attending if you intend to claim. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a financial counselling session and ask for a written estimate that clearly splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions. This is the most reliable way to avoid bill shock after the fact.
