About My Family Clinic Punggol Waterway

About My Family Clinic Punggol Waterway

My Family Clinic Punggol Waterway is a general practice clinic located at 301 Punggol Central, serving residents in the Punggol area and beyond. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, though no ACRA registration or regulatory licences have been confirmed in the available data. It carries a Google rating of 2.6 out of 5 across 62 reviews — a moderate sample size, though the rating is notably below the average for GP clinics in Singapore and warrants consideration before booking.

As a GP clinic, the typical patient journey begins with a walk-in or telephone enquiry to check queue availability or appointment slots. Consultations cover acute illness, minor injuries, medication refills, and chronic disease follow-up. Patients managing long-term conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment at enrolled CDMP clinics. Singapore Citizens and PRs holding an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life should confirm whether the clinic accepts direct billing or requires upfront payment with subsequent insurer reimbursement.

To make an appointment or check current waiting times, contact the clinic directly by phone or through the enquiry form listed on this page.

I consulted Dr. Liew Hui Hui in June for gastric pain, and was referred to HMI, where I was charged over $300 for consultation and quoted more than $7,000 for a gastroscopy. Dear doctor, I don't know what commission you earn by referring patients to private specialists/ hospitals, but I hope it's a fortune. I've been in pain with stomachaches for three months because of the extra wait time for a referral to a public hospital. While I was up all night, I hope you slept soundly.

Was with my wife to see doctor today...damm slow. After seeing doctor, The counter staff also slow in dispensing medication. I would say worst than waiting to see doctor as there are 2 counter staff. The whole waiting process as good as going to polyclinic but charging at private rate. This is very disappointing.....

Disclaimer says registration cut off is 15 mins before closing, if crowded might be earlier. I was in the clinic at 1215, 30mins before closing and there is no crowd or patient. However was told no more registration as doc has cut off.. I don’t understand, you set your rule and you don’t follow it, lucky that I’m not some urgent illness, what if I’m on high fever? If you cannot even stand your own cut off, then please just remove it

Trust the bad reviews here. The doctor (Dr Liew I believe) was fine, the staff (both were at the counter) were incredibly rude (especially the one in scrubs) , so much so that I am still at the clinic and writing this review. Brought my mum to see the doctor for covid. She was feeling faint and I had to support her for mobility, the staff rudely ushered her to walk around the building to the back of the clinic. I understand protocol and the need to conduct the swab test at the back of the clinic for isolation purposes, but was it necessary to be so incredibly rude during and throughout the whole process? My mum was quite out of it and asked why we were moving around and when i was explaining to her, the staff rudely turned around to ask 做什么 (what she want) in chinese. Treat your patients with basic respect.

I think while waiting for the medicine dispensing, my cough would recover already. Not enough admin, hire one more lah, don’t know why so slow, and inefficiently, took me 2 hours overall just to see doctor for cough only. do not try this clinic, damn slow.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does My Family Clinic Punggol Waterway charge?

GP consultations at private and CHAS-enrolled GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit before subsidies, with additional charges for investigations, medications, and procedures billed separately. Patients holding a CHAS card (Blue, Orange, or Chas Plus) or a Pioneer/Merdeka Generation card may be entitled to subsidised consultation and medication fees — confirm whether this clinic is a CHAS-enrolled GP before your visit, as enrolment is not universal. Common add-on charges include blood tests (S$20–100 depending on panel), urine tests (S$10–30), swabs, and any prescribed medications. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or referral, request a written cost estimate that separates consultation, investigation, and treatment components. Is My Family Clinic Punggol Waterway MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration has been confirmed in the available data for this listing. Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg — searchable by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Given that neither licence appears in the current listing data, patients are strongly advised to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration independently before booking. Neither alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at My Family Clinic Punggol Waterway?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP outpatient visits — confirm your plan's outpatient rider terms with your insurer before expecting reimbursement. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient treatment under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits (S$500 per year for general outpatient conditions, S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for enrolled conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, stroke, and asthma) at CDMP-enrolled clinics. Confirm whether this clinic is enrolled in CDMP before your visit, as MediSave withdrawal for outpatient treatment is only permitted at enrolled providers. For any planned procedure or specialist referral arising from the consultation, request a written financial counselling estimate at the point of referral so that insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions are clear before you proceed.
