For most patients, a visit begins with a walk-in or phone enquiry to check waiting times, as GP clinics typically operate on a first-come, first-served basis with same-day appointments for acute conditions. Patients under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) — which covers Singapore Citizens and PRs with blue, orange, or green CHAS cards — should confirm that the clinic is a CHAS-registered panel clinic before attending, as this affects the subsidy quantum for chronic disease management and acute visits. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient consultations under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders, subject to the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limits.
To make an appointment or check current waiting times, contact My Family Clinic Rivervale Mall directly by phone or through the enquiry form listed on this page. Listing data is incomplete — contact My Family Clinic Rivervale Mall directly to confirm details.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Getting a queue number online is such a breeze for me! Ever since "HeyAlly" was introduced, I feel that it has been such a great help! No more walking into the clinic to get a queue number physically. Best of all, we can always call up the staff to double check on the queue status, they are friendly!! And this will help to reduce waiting time, hassle free! Frankly, sometimes I feel that the staff is really being underappreciated, on top of doing their job (they are already doing a very good job by the way :)), they still have to make sure everyone is "happy" while waiting to see the doctor....tough ya... :( We should be thankful that we have nearby clinics like this in Singapore whenever we need medical help. Try living in Europe and u will know what I mean....
I brought my 11mth old daughter to My Family Clinic for suspected bronchiolitis. The doctor reassured us that it would resolve on its own within a week or so and prescribed Prospera and Leftose. After 6 days, her condition did not improve and actually worsened. We then visited a paediatrician at another clinic, where she was immediately administered nebuliser, inhaler, and medications that directly addressed the condition. The paediatrician explained that bronchiolitis often needs to be treated more aggressively. Within a few hours, my daughter showed noticeable improvement and was finally able to rest better after days of discomfort. The difference in approach and outcome was very clear to us. When dealing with certain conditions, its best to hit it hard rather than see how it goes. This is my personal learning and i'm pleased with the result. I hope this feedback helps other parents make informed decisions.
2⭐️ Hey Ally app is very convenient, however the Baby Bonus payment verification protocol at this clinic is unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. I was asked to provide multiple documents (including my other child’s birth certificate, my bank account details, and my NRIC). This feels excessive for a routine transaction and is not aligned with efficient, patient-centered service. I would also like to highlight that I do not face this issue at other healthcare institutions, including government hospitals and paediatric clinics, where Baby Bonus payments are handled in a much more straightforward manner. As this clinic is conveniently located, I am providing this feedback in the hope that the clinic will review and streamline the process for patients.
Friendly clinic assistant who never fails to greet whenever i came down for an appointment. The app for appointment booking, Hey Ally, makes waiting at home more convenient. I don't have to wait so long in the clinic. The app will prompt a text message whenever my queue number is nearing, usually about 3 people ahead of us. So all left was just to go down, confirm our registration against my NRIC and queue number will be called shortly after. App could also monitor how many people ahead of me from time to time.
Sarah is an inexperienced doctor. My wife has a serious throat infection and fever and we went to visit Sarah yesterday evening. After taking the medication she prescribed, my wife condition didnt even improve, in fact, it get worst over the night. Ended up, we need to go to another clinic this early morning to review her condition, which also charge us way cheaper. We also took the medication Sarah prescribed and show the doctor. The doctor say all these medication that Sarah prescribed does not help my wife condition. Basically, is useless. Sarah also does not even prescribed antibiotics for my wife. With that, my wife took the medication from the doctor and condition improve after a sleep this afternoon.

GP consultations at private and GP-panel clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with additional charges for investigations, prescriptions, and medical certificates billed separately. CHAS cardholders (blue, orange, or green) receive subsidised rates for both acute visits and chronic disease management under listed conditions — confirm with the clinic whether it is a CHAS-registered panel before attending. For any planned investigations such as blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, or referral letters, these are billed on top of the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. For a written cost estimate before attending, call the clinic directly. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
A legitimate GP clinic should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor in Singapore is registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. No MOH licence or SMC registration details have been confirmed in the current listing data for My Family Clinic Rivervale Mall, so patients are advised to verify these directly with the clinic before attending. The 2.5/5 rating across 98 Google reviews is a robust sample and suggests the clinic has received a significant volume of mixed or negative feedback. It is prudent to read recent reviews, confirm the doctor's SMC registration, and check the MOH licensee directory independently before booking.
MediSave can be used for outpatient consultations at GP clinics for chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions — subject to the S$500/year general outpatient or S$700/year CDMP withdrawal limit. Confirm with the clinic that it is CDMP-accredited before expecting MediSave to be accepted. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover routine GP outpatient consultations but may apply to day surgery or specialist referrals arising from the visit. For any planned procedure or specialist referral, request a financial counselling discussion so the split between insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket cost is clear in writing before treatment proceeds.
