About My Family Clinic St George

About My Family Clinic St George

My Family Clinic St George is a general practice clinic located at 2 St George's Road, Singapore 328023, serving patients across the island. It holds a 4.2/5 rating across 41 Google reviews, which represents a moderate sample and can be treated as a reasonable directional signal. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level on a per-visit basis, in line with typical GP consultation fees of S$25–60 in Singapore.

For a first visit, patients can expect a consultation with the attending GP covering presenting symptoms, examination, and where necessary, referral for blood work, X-rays, or specialist review. As a general practice, the clinic is suited to everyday health concerns, chronic disease monitoring under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), and routine health screening. Patients managing conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia may be able to use MediSave under the CDMP withdrawal framework. For investigations or procedures beyond general practice scope, the clinic would typically issue a referral letter to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic or a private specialist, which affects your subsidy level and waiting time.

My first time visiting this My Family Clinic was on 26th January 2026 Monday for an injection to my knee cap. The staffs mending at the reception counter was very friendly and polite. I was attended by Dr. Clyde Ong, a very attentive doctor and explaining the procedures in detail before giving me the jab. Thanks Doc and staffs of My Family Clinic. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️.

Very disappointing experience. The clinic closes at 2pm, and when I arrived at 1:20pm, the staff told me that registration was already closed. The worst part is that the clinic was also closed at night and asked me to come back the next day. Even though I told the staff that I was feeling very sick, they completely ignored me and simply said to find another clinic. Such a heartless attitude — it feels like the doctor only sees this as a business, not about caring for patients’ lives. I will never visit this clinic again and strongly do not recommend it to anyone.

One of the worst clinic in my area. Clinic close at 2pm. I came in 1.10pm they told doctor have to go for meeting or have to go out. No more registration. There are still patients waiting to see the doctor. This clinic really makes me sick

Dr Clyde is great - sincere and thorough. Clinic reception staff also good and friendly, and very experienced and organised. Probably one of the better clinics in the area.

Great clinic with an empathetic doctor and friendly receptionists. Dr Clyde Ong is a genuine nice guy who takes the time to show compassion and empathy. He's also knowledgeable and is happy to answer questions related to my presenting complaints and the prescribed medication.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does My Family Clinic St George charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with the final figure depending on the complexity of the consultation, any medications dispensed, and whether diagnostic tests such as a blood panel (S$60–200) or urinalysis are ordered at the same visit. My Family Clinic St George is indicated at a mid-range price point, consistent with this band. For patients with an Integrated Shield Plan, GP consultations are generally not claimable under IP — IP cover kicks in for hospitalisation, day surgery, and in some plans, pre- and post-hospitalisation specialist care. MediSave can be used for selected CDMP-listed chronic conditions up to S$500–700 per year under the outpatient withdrawal limits. GST applies on private medical services. Is My Family Clinic St George MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are currently listed for My Family Clinic St George on this directory. Before attending, it is advisable to confirm independently that the clinic holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor should also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can check registration status and any disciplinary history. Neither the clinic licence nor the doctor's SMC registration alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. If either is absent or cannot be verified, contact the clinic directly to request the details before booking.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at My Family Clinic St George?

For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for eligible conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$500 per year (or S$700 combined for multiple conditions on the CDMP list). Confirm with the clinic whether your condition is listed and whether they are a CDMP-enrolled provider. Integrated Shield Plans do not generally cover routine GP consultations. If the GP refers you onward for a planned procedure or specialist review, request a written referral letter — a polyclinic or GP referral to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic reduces your consultation cost to S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens. For any planned day surgery or procedure at a private facility, ask for a written financial counselling estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before committing.
