About My Family Clinic Tanglin Halt
My Family Clinic Tanglin Halt is a general practice clinic located at Blk 40 Margaret Drive, #01-01, in the Tanglin Halt neighbourhood. It is listed as KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. With 65 Google reviews and a rating of 3.1 out of 5, the sample size is moderate, though the rating sits below the typical band for well-regarded GP clinics and warrants attention before booking. No ACRA registration or regulatory licence details are on record in this listing.
For a first visit to a GP clinic, patients typically walk in or book via phone. Bring your NRIC or FIN, any referral letter from a previous provider, and a list of current medications. The clinic is positioned to handle acute illness, minor injuries, chronic disease follow-up, and routine health maintenance. For chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol, ask whether the clinic participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient consultations. If a specialist referral or polyclinic letter is needed, request this at the consultation.
To make an appointment or check waiting times, contact My Family Clinic Tanglin Halt by phone or through the enquiry form listed on this page.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
The waiting time was extremely long. I live nearby and arrived at the clinic at 8:00 am, taking queue number 8. However, I waited for about two hours. This was quite unexpected. The male, elderly doctor was patient. During my consultation, there was no female nurse or assistant present. When the stethoscope was placed on my chest, I personally felt uncomfortable at the time, although I did not raise the issue then.
I love Dr Goh and Maggie. Patient and understanding. I understand the pain of waiting but Dr Goh is super attentive to detail. Isn't that what we seek medical help for? Thank u so much, Dr Goh & Maggie.
- super long waiting time (each person is roughly 15-20mins as I counted it) - could've done it within 5 minutes but took longer than expected - staff are nice though I went early morning on that day. When the person in front of me registered, he was given the number 6, when I registered, I was given the number 9. I started waiting when the queue number was number 3, it was 8:37am. When i finished my turn, took the med and paid, it was 11am. Go to this clinic if u have generous amount of time to spare waiting. Overall, other than waiting time, others are good.
Very long wait. Receptionist told us will sms us when our number are near. We were number 10. SMS came. “Now is patient 5, no.6 and no. 8 hasn’t come yet. Please make your way to clinic” Reach the clinic in 5mins and we still waited for 1hr 45mins before our turn.
Very long waiting time Unprofessional doctor and staff Ineffective medicine Generous with MC Just moved into the neighbourhood. This is the nearest company panel clinic for me. Fair enough, many warning on wait time which I did not read beforehand. So I waited for 3 hours when there are 7 only patients in front of me. When it was my turn to see doctor, he told me today was not too busy. As if to prove his point, he went on to tell me the story of how he traveled into North Korea for the next 10 minutes. I spent total of 15 min in his room when I could have been done in 5 minutes. Just before the end of my consultation, doctor made some remarks which suggest I was malingering. Totally unprofessional. Not recommended Stay away Avoid Update after taking medicine The lozenges prescribed did not help with my cough at all. The prescribed dosage is higher than recommended on box label. Over the counter lozenges such as strepsils is working better for my cough. Really hate that I wasted 3 hours of my time today.

GP consultations at private GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit before medications and investigations. Common add-ons billed separately include prescriptions (S$5–40 depending on duration and type), blood panels (S$60–200), X-rays (S$80–150), and wound dressing or minor procedures. GST applies on private medical services. If you hold a Medisave-linked chronic disease condition and the clinic is a CDMP-participating provider, you may withdraw up to S$700 per year from MediSave for outpatient consultations and approved medications. For any planned investigations, ask for an estimated cost in advance. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration details are recorded in this listing, which is a gap worth resolving before booking. Every legitimate clinic should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence verifiable on the MOH licensee directory, and every practising doctor should appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg — searchable by name to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Contact the clinic directly and ask for the consulting doctor's full name and SMC registration number, then cross-check on the SMC register. This step is standard and any legitimate clinic will provide it without hesitation. The absence of licence information in this listing does not confirm absence of licensing — it may simply be unreported here.
For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the CDMP for listed chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, stroke, asthma, COPD, and others), with a withdrawal limit of S$500 per year for general outpatient and S$700 per year under CDMP. Confirm that the clinic is registered as a CDMP-participating provider and that your condition is on the approved list before assuming MediSave will cover the bill. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover outpatient GP visits unless you hold a specific outpatient rider. For any planned investigation or procedure, request a written cost estimate that separates insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
