About My Family Clinic Toa Payoh Central

About My Family Clinic Toa Payoh Central

My Family Clinic Toa Payoh Central is a general practice clinic located at 79D Toa Payoh Central, serving residents across the Toa Payoh area and the wider island. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 3.4/5 rating across 56 Google reviews, a moderate sample size though one that warrants reading individual reviews carefully before attending. No regulatory licences are listed in the public record for this provider, which is a gap worth clarifying directly with the clinic, as every legitimate GP clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence and its consulting doctors must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council.

For a first visit to a GP, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check waiting times. A standard consultation covers presenting symptoms, examination, prescriptions where indicated, and referral letters to a polyclinic or specialist if required. If you hold a Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP)-eligible condition — such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, or asthma — confirm whether the clinic participates in CDMP, which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for outpatient management of listed conditions. For patients with an Integrated Shield Plan, most GP visits are self-pay at the point of service and claimed later, though some insurers offer cashless GP panels — check your plan before attending. MediSave cannot be used for routine GP consultations unless CDMP applies.

To make an appointment or check queue availability, contact the clinic directly by phone or via the enquiry form listed on this page.

Doctor is extremely impatient. Stuck the ice cream stick into my kid’s throat and forced it open. If the kid didn’t understand, your doctor should have just explained. You saved 2 seconds and I had to do the explaining. Couldn’t even be bothered, really good money. 5mins for $45.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Goh, a GP at My Family Clinic. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Goh was incredibly professional and took the time to explain my condition thoroughly. He listened to all my concerns and made me feel at ease. I highly recommend him for anyone needing!"

My family has been going to this clinic since its opening in Toa Payoh. Dr Goh is patient, caring and provides professional advice to us. He is our go-to doctor whenever we are not well. The staff at the clinic are also very friendly and helpful!

My family had been going to Dr Goh for 17 or 18 years and so do my neighbours. He is a well liked and well respected doctor and we feel that we are lucky to have him near. Years ago, after experiencing a blink-and-you’ll-miss shot by him (i.e. totally painless), I had my kid’s subsequent vaccinations done by him. Way better than my kid’s paediatricians. Locums-wise, it’s a hit-and-miss, but so far only had unpleasant encounter with one. The rest were lovely.

Walked in today at 21:45hrs when it is due for closing at 22:00hrs and the signage still shows OPEN. Both nurses at receptionist Chinese and indian were laughing and chit chatting away, but as I stepped into the door, both nurses immediately stopped and faces changed as I unintentionally stopped them from leaving work early maybe? Indian nurse remarked "Next time come in 15 minutes earlier ah." I don't even see any signage that I have to be there by 21:30hrs. Chinese nurse remained professional while I ignored the Indian nurse all the time. Indian nurse was also coughing away without a mask. First time visiting a clinic when nurse have totally no care and concern for patients and spreading virus around intentionally ever since Covid period. Seriously no work etiquette at all. Doctor Goh, would really hope you do something about this unacceptable behaviour.

Is My Family Clinic Toa Payoh Central MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are listed for My Family Clinic Toa Payoh Central in the current public record. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm the doctor's registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. The absence of licence information in this listing does not necessarily mean the clinic is unlicensed, but it does mean you should verify both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry directly before booking. Neither alone is sufficient — a licensed premises must be staffed by a registered doctor, and a registered doctor must practise from a licensed premises. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at My Family Clinic Toa Payoh Central?

MediSave cannot be used for routine GP visits unless the clinic participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP). Under CDMP, eligible patients managing listed chronic conditions — including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions — can withdraw up to S$700 per year from MediSave for outpatient consultation and medication costs. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-enrolled provider before assuming MediSave applies. For Integrated Shield Plan (IP) holders, most GP visits are paid out of pocket at the point of service and submitted for reimbursement later, unless the insurer operates a cashless GP panel that includes this clinic. Check your IP schedule of benefits before attending. Specialist referrals arising from a GP visit may trigger IP coverage for the downstream consultation and investigations, subject to your plan's deductible and co-insurance terms. If a planned procedure or day surgery is subsequently recommended, request a written financial counselling estimate from the clinic or hospital that splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before committing.
