For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead for an appointment. A GP consultation covers presenting symptoms, examination, and where needed, referral for investigations such as blood panels, X-rays, or specialist review. Patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment at CDMP-registered clinics. For planned procedures or specialist referrals, a GP referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) can reduce consultation costs significantly for Singapore Citizens, though waits of four to twelve weeks are common for non-urgent cases. Private specialist referrals are faster but self-funded, typically S$120–250 for a first consult. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life may offset these costs subject to deductible and co-insurance rules.

Outstanding First Visit with Dr. Ding Xiao Liey at Mycare Clinic I had a few visits to Mycare Clinic before and today is the 2nd time for my son, and it was truly a heartwarming experience but it was my first time meeting Dr. Ding Xiao Liey, and I must say—she is absolutely amazing. Dr. Ding was tremendously caring, compassionate, and deeply professional throughout our consultation. After listening attentively to my son’s condition, she went above and beyond to assist us. Despite it being our very first visit with her, she showed genuine concern and took immediate steps to help. What truly touched me was her dedication—she even followed up via WhatsApp, keeping me updated after personally helping to arrange an appointment with the hospital. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, kind-hearted, and professional doctor, Dr. Ding Xiao Liey is someone I wholeheartedly recommend. I’m deeply grateful for her care and support.

Huge shout out to both Dr Ding and Dr Chin! They're both attentive and empathetic when listening to patients. The advise they give is very detailed and clear. They also asses patients with proper care. And Kudos to the clinic assistants as well! I've met all 3 of them and they're all so nice! Highly recommended!

Dr Chin is very friendly and knowledgeable. He will answer any questions you have to the best of his ability and doesn’t show any signs of impatience. Seeing him is like chatting with a friend: He will also only prescribe what he feels is beneficial for you. The receptionist is also very sweet. All in all good clinic

Very rarely do you feel so motivated to leave a positive review. We came on a Sunday afternoon after a quick Google search looking for reliable and open clinics in the area. After searching and feeling somewhat disappointed with the results we arrived with very low expectations. We were seen quickly by Dr Chin and what I can only describe as the single best interaction I've ever had with a medical professional. He was not only patient but very engaging and explained with enough detail to give the patient assurance and piece of mind. Highly recommended!

Is MyCare Medical Clinic Chai Chee MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor should be listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the data currently available for this listing. We recommend verifying the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly before booking, particularly if you are visiting for the first time or attending for a chronic condition review. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at MyCare Medical Clinic Chai Chee?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before any planned procedure to avoid claim disputes after the fact. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient items under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient and S$700 per year for the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which covers hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, stroke, and other listed conditions. Separate MediSave limits apply for outpatient cancer treatment and kidney dialysis. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic so you receive an itemised pre-treatment estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions in writing. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
