About Nanyang Learning
Nanyang Learning is a test preparation and admissions tuition provider operating islandwide from its centre at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. Its Google rating of 3.2 out of 5 is based on 16 reviews — a small sample, so treat that figure as directional only rather than a settled measure of quality.
Parents and students enquiring about test prep should clarify which examination or admissions pathway is the focus — DSA, PSLE, Secondary school entry, IP, or other assessments — and confirm whether the programme is aligned to the relevant syllabus. It is worth asking whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, what the term commitment looks like, and whether a trial class is available before signing up. The Ang Mo Kio location is accessible by MRT and bus, and the centre can also be contacted by WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form.
To take the next step, reach out via WhatsApp or phone to ask about current cohort availability, confirm the target examination and level, and request a trial class before committing to a full term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Based on my experience: Slow and Defensive Reached out with basic questions. Took weeks to get replies. The communication felt defensive and unprofessional when I asked about simple question like does tutor provide learning notes.. They also don’t allow parents to speak to tutors directly before signing up. Because of this, I decided not to proceed. Other parents should be cautious.
Do not engage tutors from them! Bad experience with the tutor they recommended. Not qualified as they claimed. Tried another tutor and also bad. Won’t recommend them. In the end I engaged the tutor from minded. so much better!
Resourceful tuition agency with many experienced tutors. A big thank you to Ethan for helping me to find suitable tutors for my children. They were very patient with my children and their grades improved a lot.
Thanks to Ethan from Nanyang Academics Tutors. The tuition teachers Ethan had recommended are great. All the tuition teachers are very motivating. My boy just got the o level results and have 4 As in all the subjects tutored by these tutors. Especially Chemistry tutor, she pulled my boy from fail to A1 in Chemistry. This is amazing! Good tutors who are motivating and encouraging are hard to find, and we are fortunate. Thank you!
Had tried to engage a tutor from this agent . Is very ineffective and full of hidden agenda . Refused to release contact number to the parents in advance . As parents , we are unable to communicate with tutors till that day itself when the tutor arrives. This agent Ethan tends to lie . Therefore , how to trust him as middle man to convey the message across to him then to the tutor . Parents please be caution when using his service unless he allows numbers to exchange before the start of the class. No issues with other agency except his agent .

Nanyang Learning displays a mid-range price indicator but has not published a specific per-session or monthly fee on its listing. Typical test prep and admissions tuition in Singapore ranges from around S$40–80 per session for group classes and S$80–200 or more for one-to-one sessions, depending on the subject, level, and tutor background. When enquiring, ask whether fees are charged per session, per month, or per term, and confirm whether a trial class is available and at what cost. Ask also about materials fees and any registration charges. See the full Test Prep & Admissions cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition and test prep providers in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced or standard per-session rate, before requiring a term commitment. A trial is a useful way to assess whether the teaching style, pace, and level match your child's needs — particularly for high-stakes admissions preparation where the fit between student and programme matters considerably. Contact Nanyang Learning directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask whether a trial class is available, what it costs, and what the minimum commitment is thereafter. Use the trial to gauge how feedback is given and whether the curriculum aligns with the specific examination your child is preparing for.
Nanyang Learning has not published information about tutor backgrounds, qualifications, or syllabus specialisations in its current listing. For test preparation and admissions coaching, relevant credentials to ask about include prior MOE or NIE teaching experience, familiarity with the specific examination format (for example, DSA portfolio preparation, PSLE, or IP entry assessments), and the number of years the tutor has been coaching that particular subject and level. We recommend asking Nanyang Learning directly about the assigned tutor's background, the pass or improvement rates for recent cohorts, and how the programme is structured relative to the target examination timeline.
