Typical pet training jobs in Singapore start from S$60/session. National Equestrian Centre quotes on a job-by-job basis, so the final figure will depend on scope, property type, urgency, and whether materials are included.
Before booking, ask whether the quote includes: (1) materials and consumables, (2) transport and parking fees, (3) GST, and (4) any minimum call-out charge. Getting these four line items in writing (WhatsApp is fine) is the easiest way to compare National Equestrian Centre against other providers fairly.

This stable has been a wonderful experience for our family. My toddler absolutely loves her pony rides and playgroups, and it’s heartwarming to see how patient and attentive the staff are. The horses are clearly well cared for and treated lovingly, and the staff show genuine respect and kindness toward both the animals and the students. It’s a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
One of the few spaces in Singapore where you can enjoy the soothing tropical greenery and still the mind. Professional guidance on horse riding including the competitive elements of Show jumping, Dressage and Parathlete competitions. Home ground for our Olympic Medalists in Equastrian sports and a hidden gem. Conducts family tours, educational outreach and more.
A Sanctuary for Growth: Why the National Equestrian Centre Is One of Singapore’s Hidden Gems The National Equestrian Centre (NEC) at Jalan Mashhor is one of Singapore’s most meaningful places for horse riding, volunteering, and authentic horsemanship. If you’re looking for a flashy commercial stable, this may not be it. But if you’re seeking tranquility, horse welfare, and a deeper connection with horses, NEC is something special. More Than Horse Riding in Singapore NEC isn’t just a place for riding lessons — it is the home of the Equestrian Federation of Singapore (EFS). The team is small, dedicated, and deeply committed to the care of the horses. I’ve found the best way to experience this equestrian centre is not to rush, but to get involved through volunteering, horse sponsorship, or community programmes. The horses here are not treated as rental animals. They are partners, each with their own personality. Time spent grooming, caring, or simply being present with them builds trust and confidence — for both horse and human. Why the National Equestrian Centre Stands Out: Authentic horsemanship & horse welfare: Learn about horse care, aftercare, and responsible riding beyond time in the saddle Nature escape in Singapore: A peaceful, green environment that offers a rare mental reset Experienced instructors & EFS team: Knowledgeable professionals with a genuine passion for equestrian sport and animal welfare Volunteering, CSR & corporate programmes: Opportunities to support inclusive riding programmes, sponsor horses, and participate in meaningful CSR initiatives for companies and individuals A Note on Patience NEC moves at a horse’s pace. If responses take a little longer, remember that the hands meant to type an email are often busy holding a lead rope or caring for a stable. My Advice: Don’t just enquire online. Visit the centre. Meet the horses. Experience the calm. Join a programme. Whether you’re new to horse riding in Singapore or an experienced rider, NEC offers a space to slow down and reconnect (or speed up if that's for you). Final Verdict A purpose-driven equestrian centre focused on community, horse welfare, and meaningful impact. If you’re looking for horse riding, equestrian volunteering, or CSR programmes in Singapore, the National Equestrian Centre is well worth discovering.
NEC is the best place for both adults and children to learn everything about horses! My child has been taking lessons with Lava for the past one year and every lesson has been very well thought out and planned. The lessons covered both theory and practical lessons, which helps children remember the important points of horse husbandry better. Lava is a super wonderful coach and she really cares for both horses and children. My child loves Lava so much! She loves that Lava happily answers the so many questions in her young mind. Lava also teaches me about horses every week. :) Through the various events and class plans, my child is able to have a good foundation and understanding of horses, instead of just riding alone. I also love that both Lava and MJ are super encouraging! Phil, Joopi, Hero and Bett are her favourite minis! My child had taken lessons with another riding school in Singapore before joining NEC, but the experience definitely cannot compare to what she learns at NEC. The other riding school made horse management very fragile and stressful, which does not seem right. NEC is a breath of fresh air in every aspect. When my child knows that she has a lesson with NEC, she jumps for joy because Lava is the best coach! Lastly, having Arnaud leading the team since early this year, the stable has been cleaned up and renovated. There are so many improvements done for the benefit of the horses, groomers, trainers, students and parents. NEC is now such a pleasant place for us to come and hang out every week! :) **photos shown are before the renovation.
The staff at NEC are an exceptional bunch, especially Lava whom is friendly and welcoming. The lessons and activities which she conducts for the kids are thoughtfully planned, making every visit a wonderful experience. Thank you for your dedication and care!
