A brain tumour is a frightening diagnosis — there is no disputing that. But if you are going to have one, Dr Kon and Angela are exactly who you would want by your side to help you through it. To be frank, I have never experienced medical care like this in my life. Every step was carefully explained, and my concerns were always met with patience, compassion, and, above all, an exceptional depth of knowledge and professionalism. Throughout the entire process, I felt informed, supported, and reassured. It truly felt like a collaborative effort, even if my own role was simply to lie there and have a hole cut in my head! What stood out most was not only Dr Kon’s technical skill as a surgeon, but also the calm confidence he inspired. From the beginning, he was reassuring without ever being dismissive, honest without being alarming, and clear in a way that made a very difficult situation feel manageable. When I saw my first MRI, my mind went to all sorts of terrible places. Dr Kon handled that moment with great care, balancing realism with reassurance in exactly the right way. Both before and after the operation, Dr Kon and Angela were always available whenever the smallest niggle had me convincing myself that I was dying. They responded with patience, understanding, and kindness every single time — no matter how minor my worry may have seemed. I am quite sure I tested that patience more than once. Now, four months post-op, I am symptom-free, back at work, and functioning as well as (if not better than) I was before the operation. That outcome is down in no small part to Dr Kon’s surgical skill, judgement, and care, as well as Angela’s unwavering support throughout. Having such confidence in the person operating on your brain is no small thing, and I felt throughout that I was in the safest possible hands. I can only thank Dr Kon and Angela for everything they have done for me, although I am not sure those words really feel sufficient.

I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease (PD) and referred to Dr. Kon for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. From the very first consultation, Dr. Kon took the time to examine me thoroughly and explain PD in detail. My wife and I finally understood why I behaved the way I did and why certain physical actions were so difficult. His patience and clarity gave us confidence and reassurance. The surgery itself went smoothly, and I needed only a short hospital stay. Within a week, I was fully mobile again, with noticeably reduced PD symptoms. I would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Nicholas Kon, for recommending DBS to me. Parkinson had ruled my life in deteriorating fashion for over seven years. The quality of my life had vanished. I stopped doing sports, meeting friends and enjoying myself. A long journey of finding the right know how and medical care started. I am so glad to finally have found Dr. Kon and Ms. Angela. We first met in 2024. Dr. Kon asked me to consider DBS. To come to a decision took me almost one year. Now, looking back, going forward with DBS was the best decision I have ever made. I would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr Kon who had helped me throughout my Trigeminal Neuralgia journey. Dr Kon is experienced in TN and upon reading all the positive reviews, it gave me a peace of mind to put the confidence in him to proceed with the MVD surgery to treat the condition. He is also patient when answering all of my doubts. Post recovery after MVD was also smooth for me and i would truly recommend patients experiencing TN symptoms to seek advice from Dr Kon. Dr Kon’s assistant, Angela, is also very helpful and will go her extra mile to help his patients. She will provide advice and guidance on the procedures to be taken pre and post surgery. She went the extra mile to deliver medications on the night before discharge from the hospital and we are truly pleased and thankful for the service.
