SERVICE Difference between Amk polyclinic vs Kallang polyclinic Patient reference slip :2116 dated 25/2/2026 Appointment time 11.10am Today , I brought my 80yo mother to Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic . Our appointment time is 11.10 am ( I was not late ) and we were only being attended around 1pm . We were instructed to wait outside Room 51-53. After waiting for a prolonged period, I approached your staffs not once, but three separate times to check on the status,and explain that I have been in waiting for very long. My elderly mother (80yo, wearing a purple pink top ) was becoming increasingly tired and uncomfortable. Each time, I was simply told to “wait” outside room 51 and brushed off without any explanation or effort to assess the situation.( you can check your cctv , I’m wearing a white grey striped long dress ) to verify on my situation incase u think that I’m exaggerating . In total, we waited approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes before my mother was finally attended to. What was particularly upsetting was that during this time, I observed other consultation rooms actively seeing patients. Several patients who arrived at the clinic even an hour later and much later than we did were seen and had already left the waiting area while we continued to wait outside Room 51. Despite this, no staff took the initiative to reassign my mother to another available doctor. There was no proactive service recovery, no explanation, and no consideration shown for an elderly patient. The repeated instruction to “just wait” without any attempt to review or resolve the situation reflected a lack of attentiveness and empathy. It felt as though the process was being followed mechanically, without regard for patient welfare. As a public healthcare institution serving many elderly residents, I expect a basic level of professionalism, coordination, and care ,particularly when elderly patients are involved. My child and I have been to Kallang polyclinic and the service was amazing . When the wait was 40mins n more , a few patients were reassigned to another room . If u need to verify the truth , I can provide you with the date n my child name n visit date to prove that I am not making up stories . I even asked the staff why and she said they knew we were waiting for a longer period and hence make this arrangement . I’m sure AMK POLYCLINIC can do better than this . The experience was simply appalling . I hope that you can look into this matter .

I went for a blood test at this Polyclinic. It was a breeze. The self check in terminals are easy to use. The staff are friendly and always ready to help those in needs. There are many counters for doing the blood test and the queue moves very quickly. Superb!

Wait for 1 hour 30 mins. Consultation 2 minutes. Got impatient and rude doctor. DR LEE MUN TUCK. Didn't botther to listen to my case. Ask me why my blood pressure is high? And how I want to go about it? "How? How? What you wanna do?" Duhhh!! EXCUSE ME!!! You are the doctor, if I know what to do and how, why should I consult you? Totally show no consern and I have no chance to speak about my health problem. Didnt explain the blood test result, till I asked, just say all normal. Straight away issue and change my medicine. I asked what is the difference this one that he prescribe compare to one that Im taking now, his answer "just another type" WTH?? I also not another type. And asked me to check with my Doctor where I work (Im working in neuro the clinic) if the high blood meds he gave is ok. HE SHOULD RETIRE IMMEDIATELY. Seriously!! The MOST MEDICAL HORIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER!!
