About Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok

About Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok

Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok is a general practice clinic located at Bukit Batok MRT Station, offering GP and primary care services to patients across the west of Singapore. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channels. The Google rating of 3.0 out of 5 across 132 reviews is a robust sample but sits below the typical 4.0 threshold for strong satisfaction signals, and prospective patients should read recent reviews carefully before attending.

At a GP clinic, the typical visit begins with registration — walk-in or by phone — followed by a consultation covering your presenting complaint, examination, and, where clinically appropriate, investigations such as a blood panel or urine test. The attending doctor will advise on diagnosis, prescribe medication where needed, and confirm follow-up if required. Being situated at Bukit Batok MRT Station, the clinic is accessible to commuters and residents across the western corridor. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life, note that routine GP consultations are generally not claimable under IP cover, though MediSave may be used for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), such as hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders, subject to the S$500 or S$700 annual withdrawal limit.

To arrange a consultation, call the clinic directly or submit an enquiry through the contact form listed on this page to confirm current operating hours, same-day walk-in availability, and CDMP registration status before attending.

Worst customer service and staffs seem amateur, especially that one young boy sitting at the receptionist counter. I make medical blood test check up for my work permit. And later after, on 22 December 2025, they message me on WhatsApp that I can collect my medical report. I asked them, why they make me collect the report. Isn't the clinic should be submitted medical form to MOM. And he replied, he wouldn't do that service and I should submit myself. We all know, even worker like me, that medical report work permit submission can only be done with clinic. Not me or my employer can do. I went to clinic to make sure, and they told the same, they not submit that work permit but they service only for helper. Later only after I put complain, they submitted to MOM for further process. Worst experience ever and please consider before coming to this clinic for your important cases. For me, I will never come back.

I wanted to share my experience from my visit today 22/9/2025 morning. While I experience a long waiting time of almost 2 hours, I noticed that the duration for each consultation was around 15-20 minutes per patient while i was sitting inside waiting for my turn, and it's clear that the team is committed to explaining things in detail, which I truly appreciate from a 80years old patient. What stood out to me, though, was the professionalism and care provided by your staff throughout the process. From the moment I arrived at 9.30am, I felt well informed about the waiting time and what to expect. The nurse also took the time to explain about 3 types of vaccines that I am eligible for which something my polyclinic had never mention despite my ongoing followups. I really appreciate that extra attention to detail. The quality of care and the level of communication made it clear that the clinic is dedicated to each patient's well-being. The nurse also help to booked appointment for my 2nd vaccine which i am appreciate of it. I left feeling well taken care of and better informed about my health. Thank you for the exceptional service, and please pass on my gratitude to your team.

Terrible clinic. Terrible arrangement without knowing when it is your turn. My partner waited for 2 hours and we ended up giving up. They said the queue is not in sequence but how do they determine that? The counter staff did not even bother to ask what is the patient's condition, then how do they prioritize the queue? Now I look at the clinic reviews and so many bad reviews says it all. Please don't waste your time here.

Generally have good experiences with the doctors in this clinic (especially when compared to the alternatives nearby) Dr Leung who was attending me today was particularly outstanding due to him being caring and meticulous during diagnosis whilst being very profressional. This types of people are incredibly hard to come by these days so I'm thankful to have been attended by him.

On 18 August 2025 at 6:58 pm, I brought my 7-month-old baby to see a doctor as he had a fever with chesty cough and what I suspected were chest retractions. His fever was around 37.9°C. I expressed my concern that his chest movement during breathing didn’t look normal, but the doctor insisted that when babies have fever, it’s normal for them to breathe faster. I repeatedly explained that what worried me was the chest going up and down abnormally, not just the speed of breathing. The doctor only listened to his back with a stethoscope and said everything was fine, nothing serious. He advised me to sponge my baby with ice water. When I got home, I told my husband what happened, feeling very upset with the doctor’s response. At first, I tried to monitor my baby at home, but something still didn’t feel right—his fever was worsening. By morning, I rushed him to KKH, and the doctors confirmed that he had wheezing on both sides, worse on the right side. They performed an X-ray, noted that his fever had spiked to 40°C, and admitted him for further checks and nebuliser treatment

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok charge?

GP consultations at private GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range. If investigations are ordered — such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine test, or swab — these are billed on top of the consultation fee. Medications are itemised separately. GST applies on private medical services. For patients managing chronic conditions, CDMP-registered clinics can draw on MediSave for eligible conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and COPD, up to the S$500 or S$700 annual withdrawal limit. Confirm whether Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok is a CDMP-registered provider before your visit to avoid paying fully out of pocket for eligible consultations. Is Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Legitimate GP clinics in Singapore hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm the doctor's name, registration status, and any disciplinary record. No regulatory licences are currently listed for Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok on this KakiList profile. We were unable to confirm the clinic's MOH licence or the attending doctor's SMC registration from the information provided. We recommend verifying both on the respective public registers before attending, particularly if you intend to claim under MediSave or a corporate insurance policy. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Northeast Medical Group Bukit Batok?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover inpatient stays and most day surgeries, but routine GP consultations are typically not claimable under IP cover. Some corporate insurance policies do cover outpatient GP visits — confirm directly with your insurer and ask whether the clinic is a panel provider. MediSave can be used at CDMP-registered clinics for outpatient treatment of listed chronic conditions, with a withdrawal limit of S$500 per year (or S$700 for selected CDMP conditions). Confirm with the clinic whether it is CDMP-registered before your visit. For investigations such as cancer screening or selected scans, separate MediSave limits may apply. For any planned procedure beyond routine consultation, request a financial counselling session so you receive an itemised estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions in writing before committing — this is the most effective way to avoid unexpected bills.
