About Northeast Medical Group Kallang
Northeast Medical Group Kallang is a general practice clinic located at 16 Upper Boon Keng Road, serving patients across Singapore. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 4.2-star rating across 26 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licences or ACRA registration are currently recorded on this listing, so patients are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.
For most visits, patients can contact the clinic by phone or through the online form to check consultation availability. A GP consultation at a private clinic typically runs S$25–60, with additional charges for investigations such as blood tests, swabs, or X-rays if required. Patients with Integrated Shield Plans or MediSave should confirm which outpatient benefits apply — selected chronic conditions managed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) allow MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year. Subsidised polyclinic rates are not available at private GP clinics, but waiting times are generally shorter than at public facilities.
To make an appointment or check same-day availability, contact Northeast Medical Group Kallang directly by phone or via the enquiry form listed on this page.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Has been visiting doctor liao since childhood. Been a good 45 years with him. Medicine is always the best quality, tried other clinic their medicine are craps. Only Doctor Liao is the best. Even I've shifted to north, I still return to him no matter how far.
Dr. Liao is the best GP for our family. Always explain in details. Never rush even the queue sometimes quite long. We still go back to him even though we not staying nearby anymore.
Best doctor in Singapore not like those refer u to this and. That place and wants to earn your money , Dr Liow has been the only doctor I visit , medicine gave them best and strong one , other u visits won’t recover one .
Staff were welcoming and friendly. However, after waiting for 1 hour plus, I was told that the doctor rejects covid positive cases as it will be a hassle to clean up after. The front desk staff knew I had covid and still told me to wait outside of the clinic. Nevertheless, was told to go to another clinic after waiting for 1 hour plus. The reason they gave was that there were many elderly patients. Customers should be told earlier that the clinic does not accept covid cases.
Dr Liao has been my family’s GP for over 30 years. I still went back to him although I no longer staying in that estate. Dr Liao is very experienced and the medication he prescribed always works 100% for all of us. If he is on leave or away for assignment, I would rather wait for him then to go other clinics. That’s how good Dr Liao is.

A GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically costs S$25–60, with follow-up visits often slightly lower. On top of the consultation fee, investigations are billed separately — a blood panel runs S$60–200, an X-ray S$80–150, and a urine test or swab S$20–60 depending on the panel. Prescriptions are dispensed at cost plus a dispensing fee. GST applies on private medical services. Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol may be able to use MediSave under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment at approved clinics. Confirm CDMP participation with the clinic before your visit. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm their registration status and any specialist accreditation. No licences are currently recorded on this KakiList listing, so we recommend checking both the MOH directory and the SMC register directly before your appointment. For general practice, SMC registration as a medical doctor is the key credential. If you are being referred onward for a specialist opinion, confirm the specialist's SMC registration and accreditation in the relevant branch separately.
For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed chronic conditions — the withdrawal limit is S$700 per year per patient. General outpatient consultations not covered under CDMP are typically paid out of pocket or via Integrated Shield Plan (IP) outpatient riders, though many IP plans only cover hospitalisation and day surgery rather than routine GP visits. Confirm your plan's outpatient benefits with your insurer before the visit. If a consultation results in a referral for day surgery or a specialist procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving facility that splits the insurance payout, any MediSave deduction, and your out-of-pocket portion before agreeing to proceed. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
