About Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place

Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place is a general practice clinic located at 22 Malacca Street, #13-03 RB Capital Building, in the Raffles Place business district. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It carries a 2.9/5 rating from 15 Google reviews — a small sample that should be treated as directional only. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile, and the clinic is not ACRA-registered in our records; prospective patients are advised to confirm MOH Healthcare Services Licence details and the attending doctor's SMC registration directly with the clinic before booking.

For a first visit, patients at a GP clinic typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times. Common presenting concerns include acute illnesses, repeat prescriptions, medical certificates, and referrals to specialist outpatient clinics. Singapore Citizens and PRs holding an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life can claim eligible consultations subject to their plan's deductible and co-insurance rules; MediSave can be used for selected outpatient claims under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia, within the S$500–700 annual withdrawal limits. Patients requiring a specialist should request a polyclinic-style referral letter here to access subsidised rates at public hospital specialist outpatient clinics.

To arrange an appointment or check current queue availability, contact the clinic directly by phone or through the enquiry form on this listing.

Had a consultation. Staffs were friendly and did not have to wait long. Even though the consultation was tele consult, the staffs took blood pressure, oxygen check and swab tests in person. Medicine is also dispensed at the place. Overall great experience

Been going to Northeast Medical Group (Raffles Place) more than 10 years. From the basement setup in next building to the RB building 13floor. I witness the change. Getting better and better. The reception/nurses are well manner, soft spoken, very polite and gentle. When they prescript the medication to you, they will patiently explain to you how to take them or advise you to avoid certain diet. If you have doubt, they will explain further to clarify your queries. As for consulting the Doctor, time changed. Occasionally , I encountered teleconsulting which at first I was skeptical like the general masses, but over time I accepted it. It is no different, face a Doctor on site or teleconsulting. Why? If test is required or examination is required, the nurse on site will be there to assist the teleconsulting Doctor. Overall, I trust the Doctor(s) from Northeast Medical Group. Visit them when you are not well, they take good care of you.

Never come here if you are genuinely unwell and want to consult a doctor. I visited the clinic last week and I was brought to one of the rooms where a nurse was the one who consulted and administered me. Doctor was in room 1 with doctor name at the door front Dr Chik. Initially I thought the nurse tending to me was a doctor as she had a stethoscope and was listening to my lungs, but then I realised she’s also one of the receptionist and only later when MC was issued that I confirmed she wasn’t the doctor. So the entire time I did not consult with any doctor, the nurse just did the consultation and relayed to the doctor who prescribed the medicine. The receptionist spelt my name wrongly so they reissued the MC under Dr Chik Hui Shan but I saw the receptionist literally signed off the MC right in front of me LOL, shouldn’t it be the doctor? I can hear the doctor through the small window (attached to room 1) saying ok to prescribing me syrup version instead of tablet form of cough medication, that’s when I confirmed I did not even consult with the doctor. Super unprofessional and I don’t even think they are allowed to do that? Receptionist signing off my MC under the doctors name? What’s the point of asking a patient “how can I help you today” when I replied “to consult with doctor” when ended up you didn’t even consult with any doctor? Btw the clinic was not crowded, my Q was next in line.

The doctor was good but I was given a teleconsult even though I went to a physical clinic. I waited for a long time even though there was only 1 other patient and then the worst part is the receptionist (though nice) doesn’t know what she’s doing because they didn’t have the meds I needed. She gave me a slip of paper and told me to buy it myself at a pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy only to find out I need a prescription. This is a terrible experience and now the clinic is closed so no one can give me this. If the doctor had physically been in the clinic all of this would be avoided.

How much does Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine test S$20–50, X-ray S$80–150), prescriptions, and medical certificates. GST applies on private medical services. For planned procedures or specialist referrals, the clinic should provide a written financial counselling estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before any commitment. Is Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are currently listed on this KakiList profile for Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Prospective patients should confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the attending doctor's SMC registration directly with the clinic before booking. Neither alone is sufficient — both are mandatory for a legitimately operating medical practice in Singapore.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays, subject to the plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and selected mental health conditions — within the S$500/year (general) or S$700/year (CDMP) outpatient withdrawal limits. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic. A written, itemised pre-treatment estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions should be issued before you commit. Confirm pre-authorisation and, where applicable, a Letter of Guarantee from your IP insurer to avoid claim disputes after the fact. Contact Northeast Medical Group Raffles Place directly to verify which insurance panels and MediSave claims they currently accept.
