This is my first time to Bukit Batok polyclinic. The experience was lousy. The waiting time was long despite I had an appointment. I waited for more than 1.5 hrs for my turn. The staff nurse taking bood test had no experience, she poked twice on my hand and was unable to get the blood flow into the tube and declared that I had "no blood". I requested for another staff to draw my blood, who effectlessly draw out 2 tubes of blood from my hand. The appointments machines were not working. The payments machines were all down. If our government encourages the people to go digital, then the equipments and support must be good. How could it happen when all the machines were faulty and no manpower was despatched to salvage the situation? If we were not fully ready, why not have partial of the services digitalise and partial manually? Singapore being coined as one of the top notch medical service provider in the world, and is well known for our efficiency, I strongly feel that NUHS really has a lot to catch up in improving the services and experiences of the patients.

Totally horrendous experience!!! Went for cervical screening. Staff named Najme inserted the speculum in without asking to see if I was ready. I ended up screaming all the way in excruciating pain and she did not stop even stop to check how I was until she managed to extract the sample. After the procedure she just told me to dress up. When I told her it was soooooooo extremely painful, all she said was a little discomfort is expected. So apparently she heard but just ignored my screaming. When I feedback to the BB Polyclinic head Dr Michael Lim about the incident, after investigation, all he said was staff did not detect great pain and therefore she continued with the procedure and therefore there was no lapse and she followed SOP!!! So case closed! If even the head does not serve with heart, it is of little wonder there are so many complaints about staff with no empathy there. Wonder why they even bother to be healthcare workers.

So far I have been to Jurong Polyclinic, Pioneer Polyclinic, Clementi Polyclinic and Bukit Batok Polyclinic. I need to feedback the best environment and passion and patience doctors at Bukit Batok Polyclinic. The interior of the building is bright and windy (with huge ceiling fans) which I believed a non air conditional environment is actually good for patients. And the doctors are patience and caring. Unlike my previous bad experience at Jurong Polyclinic (inpatient and show no sympathy towards my health condition). Highly propose Govt should cons to build more healthcare facilities like Bukit Batok Polyclinic!

i know a lot of people complain about the long waiting times, but usually when i go (saturday mornings with appointment) im usually seen very quickly. the staff can be curt but are generally efficient at what they do. i had a 1030 appointment today and was done within 15 minutes, including dr consult and collecting medicationn thank you for the work yall do for the community :)
