About NUP Clementi Polyclinic

About NUP Clementi Polyclinic

NUP Clementi Polyclinic is a GP and primary care clinic located at 451 Clementi Ave 3, serving residents across the Clementi area and the wider west of Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified, though no ACRA registration or MOH Healthcare Services Licence details are currently on file for this listing. Its Google rating stands at 2.7 out of 5 across 197 reviews — a robust sample size, though the below-average score is worth noting before attending.

For most primary care needs, patients can walk in or contact the clinic by phone or online form to check waiting times before arriving. As a polyclinic operating under the National University Polyclinics (NUP) network, subsidised consultation fees for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are considerably lower than private GP rates — typically S$10–25 after subsidy for Citizens, with separate charges for investigations, medications, and any referral letters to specialist outpatient clinics (SOC). Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) coverage applies to listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, enabling MediSave 500 or 700 withdrawal for qualifying outpatient visits. Patients requiring specialist care will typically receive a referral letter directing them to the relevant SOC at a restructured hospital, with subsidised SOC consultation fees running S$30–80 for Citizens.

To make an appointment or check queue availability, contact NUP Clementi Polyclinic directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their website before attending, particularly during peak morning hours.

Not sure what the bad reviews are about. Got called in according to my appointment time. Minimal waiting even at other stations such as x ray, blood test. Staff were kind and friendly and did not snap when asked when’s my turn. God bless. Especially the kakak at the entrance and referral counter. Best part of this, Dr Jozhi Siew who is a patient doctor and willing to listen to his patients needs. All resident doctors should learn from him 👌🏽 Best polyclinic doctor 👌🏽

An appointment system that actively penalises punctuality. I arrived early for my scheduled appointment. I waited over an hour because patients with earlier appointments arrived late and were still prioritised ahead of those who turned up on time. This isn’t about staff attitude. It’s about a system that rewards lateness and makes appointments meaningless. If arriving on time puts you at the back of the queue, then the clinic needs to rethink what an “appointment” actually means.

the lady at counter 7 working today at around 9+am raised her voice at an innocent old lady who seems like she couldn’t understand english that well, all because the lady was unaware/confused. the lady went to the registration counter and held out her queue number, the lady at the counter raised her voice cuz she kept repeating to the lady to sit down and that its not her turn however the lady was not responding which clearly implies that she doesn’t understand what she’s being told. this is highly unprofessional to me, the other malay lady came to guide her but she was talking rudely too (not in a manner of words but in the way her tone sounded). mind you, this old lady seemed to be in her 70s, pushing her trolley with one hand and holding her hand out with the queue number with the other all while being scolded. how can one be so heartless?

This Clementi polyclinic has very bad customer service. We went there and took a queue number and sat down outside the room. Within 5 mins, we saw our queue number at screen appearing under missed queue. As the screen never even flashed our queue number but appeared under missed queue, we approached the staff sitting at the side. The staff pretended not to see us and continued with doing her things. She finally looked up and so we told her how our number showed under missed queue when not even flashing first. She didn't provide any solution and just asked us to wait again. Our point is, the screen mentioned to approach the staff should number be missed. What's the point of approaching when this staff just brushed off our question. If like that, are we going to wait forever if they don't flash the number again? Totally bad attitude and service. This is not the first time encountering. Polyclinic needs to train their staff well to handle this type of patient service to the public.

Appointment book at 1020am till now it 12pm noon sharp. have yet to been since coz I am not a flu, fever,or cough patients. So the rule of the thumb please identify yourself for the above so that they have more doctors to consult . Whereas for none of the above symptom only one doctor consulting. WHAT IS APPOINTMENT FOR? ?? if I can rate zero stars I will rate it numerous times.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does NUP Clementi Polyclinic charge?

As a National University Polyclinics (NUP) facility, consultation fees are subsidised for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Citizens typically pay S$10–25 per GP consultation after government subsidy, with PRs paying a higher subsidised rate and non-residents paying unsubsidised rates closer to private GP levels (S$35–60). Charges billed on top of the consultation include investigations (blood panel, urine test, X-ray), prescription medications dispensed on-site, dressings or minor procedures, and any referral administration. For Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) conditions, MediSave 500 or 700 withdrawal limits apply to qualifying outpatient visits. Confirm the exact fee schedule directly with the clinic, as polyclinic fees are periodically revised by MOH. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is NUP Clementi Polyclinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctors?

NUP Clementi Polyclinic operates under the National University Polyclinics network, a public healthcare institution established under MOH. Polyclinics under restructured healthcare clusters are governed by MOH and operate under the Healthcare Services Act framework — the institutional oversight differs from that of standalone private GP clinics, but the regulatory base is the same. Every practising doctor at the polyclinic should hold Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration, verifiable by name at smc.gov.sg. No individual MOH Healthcare Services Licence or SMC entries are listed in this KakiList record, so patients are encouraged to confirm the attending doctor's registration directly. No ACRA entry is on file for this listing, which is not unusual for a public healthcare institution operating under a statutory board structure. Verify the doctor's name on the SMC public register before any ongoing care relationship, and raise concerns through the NUP patient feedback channel if service quality does not meet expectations.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at NUP Clementi Polyclinic?

MediSave can be used at polyclinics for outpatient visits under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions — up to S$500 or S$700 per year depending on the number of CDMP conditions managed. Routine GP visits for acute illnesses are generally paid in cash or by NETS/card at the point of service. MediShield Life covers inpatient hospitalisation and selected day surgery, not standard polyclinic GP consultations. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) similarly do not typically cover polyclinic outpatient visits unless the plan includes an outpatient rider. If you require a specialist referral, the polyclinic will issue a referral letter directing you to the relevant subsidised SOC at a restructured hospital, where MediShield Life and IP coverage applies for inpatient or day-surgery episodes. For any planned procedure or chronic condition management, ask the attending doctor for a written treatment plan and confirm which CDMP conditions qualify for MediSave withdrawal before leaving the consultation.
